KK ask for me or Annemarie at manifest. Or look for the goofy guy wearing pink earmuffs. We will get you on some jumps appropriate to your skill level. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

Damn!!! Billy landed off??? The spot was just a tad off. I worked the risers for the best glide and just barely cleared the lake on the DZ side next to the woods and walked back. What I forgot to do was check in at manifest. It was a fun skydive though

I even bolded the important bit for you, and I'll put it here again in caps "CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW..." Is that clear enough for you? CONGRESS shall make no law forbidding the freedom of expression. As an employee you represent your employer, and he or she has the right to determine (to an extent, protected classes are excluded) what image they want to present to the public. For some reason, correct or otherwise, society has deemed that those who have extensive body modifications, especially modifications of the public areas of the body such as the face, neck, and hands, are "different" and some may even be reply] Wow I must have missed that memo. Several of my employees have piercings. The customers really don't seem to be afraid of them. Perhaps you are projecting You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

Rick replied to skyflychris's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Yes, there was a PAC, the twotter had some sort of MX issues IIRC. Hell, we managed to blow the window off the PAC! The duct tape held pretty well though. The pilot was giving us good spots all weekend. The fire was nice and toasty. Had a great time. Next year I will p[lan on getting there a day earlier so i can jump all day Friday. My turn So I made the Island jump Friday before last out of DeLand. I stuffed my canopy inot a garbage bag after landing. Did not jump the rest of that weekend. I packed my rig Saturday in my parents living room since I was jumping sunday at Z-Hills. Got my rig out and did my typical gear check before the days jumping. I noticed I didn't see the sharpie mark on the pilot chute kill line in the inpsection window. I thought damn i need to mark that thing again because even with the pilot chute cocked the mark does not always show up. Break off was a little lower than the 4,000' we talked about because you kow needed a few more seconds to get that last point. I tracked away and pitched I was passing about 2800' when I tossed. Shit nothing I looked over my shoulder while elbowing the shit out of my container and saw nothing. Looked back at the ground about the same time my pro-track started screaming at me to pull (the ground looked awful big). I had a good reserve within a second or 2. Nice stand up landing in the field between Chancey road and the DZ. I honestly don't remember if I cocked my pilot chute or not. When I found the main it was out of the bag in a small pile. my rigger said it only took a coulple of seconds to sort out the lines. The lessons learned are obvious. I could have taken 30 seconds and pulled out the pilot chute and made sure it was cocked. If you have never had one let me tell you in a high speed mal the ground gets big FAST. OK there is my dumb ass story. It was an expensive lesson. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

See sig line Usually have several beers after work and maybe a few at lunch. Since I started organizing on Sundays I got to be at the dz at 8am aaaand it's a 1.5 hour drive it has kind of slowed down my Saturday night drinking. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

We figured that when he said washboard six pack You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

Yeah, that's a pretty rookie mistake. You have to look for both turn signals and "body language" to figure out if and how many cars may be turning right on red as you approach lights. I also slow down and slot in as I approach a line of cars that is starting to move so I'm never along side a car as it starts accelerating. The one thing I can't figure out is why so many people tend to list over into the curb / right part of the lane as they slow to a stop in a line of cars. 5 mph? plenty of room to get by them. 2 mph? they look like they're parked against the curb. This is more annoying than dangerous though. I have a question. If the cyclists are supposed to obey the rules of the road like all other vehicles why are they allowed to pass a line of cars that is stopped at a light on the right? Should they not get in line with the other vehicles? You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

I see them in my front yard every day just before sunset. i was thinking about building a bat house to see if I could attract more. They help with the Florida skeeters. Hell yeah.. I love the litte flying mousies... they are very efficient at getting rid of the real blood suckers. Far more people have been harmed or killed by the diseases that mosquitos carry than all the imaginary ill intent of bats. I have quite a few flying around my property and I have gone for a couple years without a single skeeter bite
