DON'T hang weights off the bottom, instead evenly weight the flag's leading edge, it packs and deploys cleaner, flys better, uses less weight for a given flag size and is safer to the spectators and flag catchers...looks better IMHO too. Thanks for this advice. i tested my new setup last Sunday. Got a pocket sewn into the leading edge of the 6'x10' flag I normally jump to carry the weight and got rid of the weight bag hanging underneath. Much cleaner looking and less of a snag hazard. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

We were jumping all day yesterday. It is a bit on the warm side on the ground but the temp is perfect at 13.5. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! -

I was there a few weeks ago. We hired out their Cessna for a demo. They were not jumping that day due to low clouds. I think they usually have a Pac. A lot of the folks that jump there come over to Z-Hills once in a while and they are all good peeps. Missbrz and Theonlyski can probably give you more info. I had my chance. All I had to do was sign up for another 4 years unfortunately I declined. Of course it would have been in an F-4 not F-18 since it was 30+ years ago

Lat month I called the FISDO in Tampa to file a NOTAM for a demo jump. I was told by this office since they are the ones that approved the Application for Certificate of Waiver or Authorization they already had the NOTAM filed. I have always called in for a NOTAM when demo jumping. It does not take long to and if it covers your ass why not? You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!
