  1. Wow, this is all great info. I knew that I wanted to go. I'm one of those "just off AFF", well sort of. But I know I do need work on my belly flying! I want to get the most out of my jumps and I want my friends to get the most out of them too. Maybe they'll want to jump with me more! Larry A-43434
  2. Well, it's still cold up here in the the Northeast and I'm itching for some skydiving. But I thought that I could use this time to work on my RW skills. I recently got my A, and I've done a couple 3-ways with experiences jumpers (thank god for their patience) and although it was fun, I was flailiing all over the sky! That being said, I'm thinking about heading to Orlando to try one of the Wind Tunnel camps. But in looking at the tunnelcamp.com website, I'm more confused than ever! I'm looking for some coaching in belly flying, to help me get more control out there with my friends! Any recommendations, experiences, warnings, etc? Larry A-43434
  3. I think you're mistaken, Sid. I can funnel a solo jump! Larry A-43434
  4. Thank goodness I got my vaccination! Larry A-43434
  5. You can't know how tempted I am to relocate. Just looking for the place with the coolest skydivers, the coldest beer, the warmest sun, and the sexiest women! That's not asking too much, is it? Larry A-43434
  6. As I look out across the 140" of snow we've gotten here in NY, my thoughts turn, naturally, to skydiving! The season can't start soon enough! Yes, I truely envy those of you who live in warmer climates and who have been having fun jumping while I have been building ever larger snowbanks on the sides of my driveway. To make matters worse, at the end of the season last year, I got my first (yes, the beer was already bought) rig and A-licence, but was only able to get a few jumps in before the artic cold settled in for it's annual sojourn. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to survive the winter, when all your thoughts are on being airborne, seeing the world as only the eagles see it, and playing in the largest playground on earth? 7. I know exactly what you mean. I did one job for one company, and I have to pay half what I made, back in taxes! Doesn't pay to be nice! Larry A-43434
  8. I'd call that a GREAT accuracy landing! Larry A-43434
  9. Three-legged race to do chores? VIBES coming at ya! Larry A-43434
  10. I just bought a Triathlon 220 a couple months ago, and I love it! Now bear in mind that it is my pre-second canopy (wait, I already bought the beer), and before that I was jumping tired old student canopies. But it is easy to pack, very controlable, and I finally get stand up landings! Larry A-43434
  11. Mike, You're book "Parachuting, The Skydiver's Handbook" ROCKS!!! I've lent or bought copies for friends getting started! Larry A-43434
  12. Then there's Sid (no, not you Peter, though you might qualify) He's even got it on video... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=609116 Larry A-43434

  16. Chris (and Fritz), Just heard this morning and saw it in the paper! It really broke me up. But I'm sure it won't fully hit me until I'm there next. I hope you guys find the strength you need to help you through this. And to everyone out there at Fingerlakes, be strong and keep remembering all the fun that Tommy brought to our lives, how lucky we are to have friends like that! ******VIBES*****
  17. Tommy was a great guy and a great friend. He will definitely be miss at my home dz! Huge Vibes to Badfish, Tommy's family, and friends! And God's Speed my friend!!!
  18. I have a question about this as well. What does "freefall control on all axes" usually mean? Does that mean in order to fulfill my recurrency jump, I have to do my flips and rolls again, if I haven't made a jump in 60 days? Larry A-43434
  19. Totally off track here, but I just found that poem in Mental Training for Skydiving and Life by John Derosalia and I loved it! Excellent choice of siggie Dagny! Larry A-43434
  20. I've heard all of you say great things about Pro-tracks and Neptunes. For those who have tried both, which would you choose??? Larry A-43434
  21. What audible have you got? Larry A-43434
  22. I've got another Pro-Tec question. Anyone ever put an audible in one? Is it possible? Is it comfortable? Larry A-43434
