  5. Ok if you know it just be quiet lol 2. A man is found hung to death in a wharehouse 5ft off the ground and attached from rafters 10ft above him. No one is sure how long he'd been there, they found him in the morning when the sun came up and the first employee arrived. It appears to be a suicide, but there is no latter and his neck isn't broken as it would be from jumping down. The only thing found strange at the location is that someone had cut the power...
  6. yikes! settle down Beavis! __ I'm bored and someone burst my bubble, I just need to jump and i'll feel better
  7. what about my post didn't you understand?!?!?! IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER DON'T POST IT!!! so much for that f*cking idea. there is always someone who doesn't want to play by the rules isn't there?
  8. Actually no not flaring didn't help anything, but I believe the correct frame of mind is to jump a reserve that you'd feel comfortable landing unconcious, downwind and set in half-brakes. Of course I did NOT intentionally not flare. It was one of those no shit there I was jumps that turned really bad. I have never done a night jump again. I literally didn't know how close to the ground I was until my feet hit it. A lot of things went wrong and all on the same jump which as a result had me landing in a unknown place with no lighting or moon to help me referrence to the ground. Again, as I said before, it was a jump that went horribly wrong. The uppers shifted between the 1st and 2nd loads we threw that evening. I was on the 2nd load, exited last and drifted almost a mile in freefall. Under canopy I was drifting away from the lights of the near by city. I ended up landing in the middle of a field 1.5-2 miles off the spot. When they found me they said I was just walking around like I had seen a ghost. I had left my gear in the field. We found my strobe (broke on exit, i.e. no light) helmet and other things spread out across my landing area. So yes I feel more than confident that I could land my reserve set in half brakes, downwind with no flare and live through it. I'm not going to do an intentional 20mph downwinder
  9. Yeah actually I have a set of shoes just for skydiving, and landing is actually rough on shoes when you're swooping. Your landings may not be rough, but when you're hooking in and swooping out, trust me, you'd rather slide than try to run out... You should know that, I saw you biff it in a field cause you couldn't run fast enough
  10. Ok so I'm board. Here are the rules. I'll provide mysteries for you guys to solve. You can only ask me questions that I can answer Yes or No to. If you think you know the answer to the mystery PM me and I'll let you know if you're correct or not, that way others can still keep guessing. I'll post a list of who's gotten it write and while it goes on I'll add more clues or start a new mystery. If you know the answer please don't spoil it
  11. yeah mine are a number of countries away
  12. what kind of record attempt are they going for with 140? anyone know?
  13. Happy Easter everyone! What are you doing, did you do, or not do today?
  14. i wore them on a couple jumps when i was still a newbie and they just didn't offer the protection or absorve the shock as shoes do. I've resorted to a $15 pair of fake Van's I picked up at Walmart and they've been the best shoes I've ever bought. Almost 2 years now and just use them to skydive in. Awesome ankle protection, heave and well built, soles are nice to slide out my swoops with too
  15. It has to be the origonal and you start the album at the 3rd lion roar. Money just fits too damn well into the change in the movie. It's interesting, I bet it kicked ass in the theater
  16. Does landing my old main (sabre 170 1.5/1), in full flight, off the dz, night jump, no moon, no flipping idea where the dz was, drifting backwards towards a train, not flaring because I didn't know I was that close count? Or do I have to land downwind on purpose
  17. Yeah it was somewhere around that altitude, they also regret doing it too as they realized those canopies don't perform exactly as well. I'll have to pull out my dvd and watch it again today.
