  3. i've been jumping in congestion in my chest since labor day. my allergies kicked in at couch freaks, triggered my asthma and all hell broke loose. it moved into my chest. i waited for the ear preasure to clear and am still jumping. haven't had a problem, so i'd say you're good to go as long as you don't have anything behind yours ears. that can be VERY painful!!!
  4. i'm so bored, i'm washing my jump suits yeah, i know, it's THAT BAD!!!
  5. awwwwwwww look, there she be!!! So proud of her, still looks the same too 12 years later... http://terraserver-usa.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=11&x=1842&y=10856&z=14&w=1

  7. Say hi to Denise for me. I didn't get to head up to Summerfest like I had planned, so Beavdog and I never got to jump with her. I've been sitting here just bumming around. I can drink a beer for ya if you'd like me to!

  10. oh and to add to that. Because I was late to work to file a police report. If I'm late to work again, I get fired...
  11. So, I wake up thismorning and walk out to my car. I look into it and stuff is all moved around, doesn't really look right... Sure enough, my car got broken into last night, stole my stereo equipment and searched thru everything else. Pisses me off too because my insurance, in all their faith and wisdom, won't cover it. So what exactly is the purpose of having full coverage if they don't cover anything?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? I need vibes, I'm already broke, don't have the money to fix the damage and replace my stuff. There goes Bridge Day
  12. I hope you did explain that the door was open right? actually, we thought it would be funny if we led her on to believe we had to exit the luggage hatch... then we told her the truth Just kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. A school reporter contacted me about 3 weeks ago and wanted to do a report about skydiving. I invited her to come and sit in on the class I was teaching that weekend and she was going to write the article in 3rd person. So Saturday rolls around and I decide I'm going to take this to a whole other level... Hey Amy, wanna skydive?!?!?! Read her story below, very well done, they took the video and posted it as well. Kinda upset the school photographers get credit for their work, but no credit for who shot the video. oh well http://kstatecollegian.com/stories/091703/art_skydive.shtml
  14. I'm disgusted for one with the clubs around here. They don't know what a real club is, the bathrooms are nasty (pretty bad when a guy doesn't want to piss in one) they're just trying to take advantage of the drunks lol what do you look for in a club, what does it have to have to make it a good place?
  15. I've jumped smoke before and it didn't do anything to my suit or gear. Just have to be aware of it sticking off your leg and be sure you're stable in freefall. I wouldn't advise sit flying or anything like that with it, but belly to earth with the right type of holster, i don't see a problem with
  16. I just got this news and am very happy to announce that skydiving may have actually saved a person's life. I am not going to disclose the names of the parties involved, but will tell the story. Last weekend I taught a SL jump class. There was one student who signed on his waiver that he sufferred from depression. I pulled him to the side during a break and talked with him concerned about his depression. There is a history of depression in my family, so I understand what the different types are etc. We discussed the issue and I was sure to ask him if he felt that skydiving would be dangerous or if he thought being on his medications may be some sort of risk. He said now, we both initialed the waiver and carried on our ways. Great student, kinda kept my eye on him with that concern in the back of my head of "what if..." Just found out, the student in question attempted to kill himself over the weekend... He is being cared for at the momment and is doing well. While interviewing him, they asked him about his plans and why etc and it states "...I was going to do it last weekend, but my buddy invited me to go skydiving so I wanted to wait..." Indirectly, skydiving and the people around prevented him from attempting to commit suicide last weekend. The results may have been different last weekend. Thankfully he is ok. Just thought I'd share the story of skydiving keeping someone around for an extra week, and now ever longer Blue skies, Chris
