More pix... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Well, talk about coincidences. I found the video of Sammy's 3000th jump. I went all the way back to the beginning to see if the video flyer got himself in it - none other than Johnny Luv Horton. On the jump was Sammy, Garth Harley, Sebazz, Natty, Randy Frazier, Jim McCormick, Steph, and me. Pix are attached. I'll post video if I can get a good balance of quality/file size. I wonder if she was the same one I met - no, that was a nurse. Well, here's the evidence... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Sammy and I saw Dave Matthews in 1999 at Shoreline. We didn't have tickets, so we tried to find somebody selling. Some guys pops out of a hidden door in the blue wall with a backstage pass and a fistful of tickets for section 103 (Front/left). Don't remember what we paid, but it wasn't bad. Great concert. IIRC Sammy's fav song was "Satellite". I guess he's in permanent orbit now. If they need help setting up an ash jump or demo or whatever, I'll be glad to help. I'm unfortunately getting lots of experience with these events. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Is it as much fun as the four skin song? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Why put off until tomorrow that which you can just blow off altogether? Anything worth doing can wait until tomorrow. Procrastinators of the world: I'll get back to you on that when I get around to it... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

A pleasant mix of the Barry's (Manilow and Gibbs), Niel Diamond, The Carpenters and Nana Mouskouri. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Somebody else already added "Terminal Velocity", "Fandango" and "Gypsy Moths". Then there's - Most of the James Bond movies - The Wild Geese - Toy Story (Well-done animated BASE jump scene) - Top Gun (Ejection scenes show hand-deployed pilot chutes) - Reign of Fire - Navy Seals - Honeymoon in Vegas (skydiving Elvises) - Charlie's Angels (the first movie) - one of the Schwarzenegger movies. Can't remember if it was "Last Action Hero" or "Eraser" or what. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me. -
My dad was airborne. He did a couple sport jumps as part of approving the RRMC jump club ~1984-85. My sister has a couple tandems and an AFF. Mom has none, although she talked about a tandem at the wedding last year. Dad could probably be convinced to do AFF, but he thinks he doesn't have the upper body strength any more. I told him he's thinking about the requirements for military jumps. Most civvie jumpers would not qualify! (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Why stop at a forum? How about give him his own website? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

no no no...he was playing with his own scrotum....its a lot of fun I thought he was jewish...how can u explain it? Most jews have scrotums, unless they are female Yep, until age 3 months.......... I think you're thinking of FORESKINS. If they removed their scrotums (and presumably the contents thereof) they wouldn't last long as a religion (one generation, to be exact). It think that's because there's more material included. There was only one TV series - 6 episodes - so not as much was included. There are whole subplots missing, like the whole thing about why Zaphod Beeblebrox became Galactic President and stole the Heart of Gold. In the TV series, he's just some punk with two heads, three arms and a really cool space ship. What you don't get in the radio series or in any text version are some of the background visuals, like the Golgafrinchams grooming each other, then the cavemen doing exactly the same thing. And like I said, the Guide animations are great. Try reading the text at the same time as the narrator, or reading the labels of the diagrams. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Ever seen the TV mini-series? The "Guide" animations are the best part. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

It's possible if we can define and control a landing area that meets "open field" requirements. We don't need a 7711-1. However, it would be impossible to define and control a landing area that size, especially given that it's a public area. All you need is for somebody to complain to the state park service, or for a beach patrol to come along and you've got a problem. Like I said, let's do level 1, which means D-licenses and get the 7711-1 (which takes at least a week in practice). Let's talk this weekend. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Get back to work. No wonder legal fees are so high - all the parrotlegals surf the net all day! (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

Has Kath filed with SJ FSDO before? I can do it if you want. We just need to make sure we make the landing area big enough for the level of demo and jumper license/rating we want. I suggest level 1 and D-license (and no tandems). This means we should be marking off an area 500x500 feet and having a ground crew keep people out. To update the 7711-2 I need somebody to email or PM me the registration (N number) of the plane we want to use, and the pilot's name/rating/license number. The FSDO will also give us a manifest form (which I already have) which we have to complete, but not submit, with: - Name - USPA member number/exp date, - D-license number, - Pro (yes/no) and exp date - Date of last jump (see special provisions) - Main and reserve pack dates I also like to have - phone number - email Special provisions: 9. Except for tactical airborne demonstrations, minimum competency and recency of experience requirements for Level I landing areas are at least USPA Class D license with 50 jumps within the previous 12 calendar-months, and 5 jumps within the previous 30 days on the actual canopy, or same make, model and size of canopy to be used during the demonstration. The jumpers may exit over an open area and drift into a Level I landing area within a congested area and must land no closer than 50 feet from any spectators and to pass over any spectators no lower than 250 feet, including the canopy and all external paraphernalia. I can bring all the paperwork from the last time I did this. In fact, we could call it a paperwork briefing which you need for your PRO anyway. You, Renaud, anybody else who wants to work on their PRO can sit in. I'll copy some proficiency cards. Whaddya think? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
