  1. Divx can be cleanly watched on any platform with a small download, which is more than can be said for Windows Media or QuickTime. cavete terrae.
  2. That rocks. Scary part is that little set of notes they play about 15 seconds in? I recognise the song just from those.. kinda sad cavete terrae.
  3. I've always been under the impression, right or wrong, that the risk of this is one of the reasons that gear rentals fees are oftentimes so high, and that if it happens, the student isn't charged... cavete terrae.
  4. That's sick!! I've gotta learn that move!!! cavete terrae.
  5. uh.... I can hold a sit for 2-3 thousand feet cavete terrae.

  10. ABout 90-95%... I'm a college student who bought a brand new rig. Not the best move in the world, but you only live once. cavete terrae.
  11. I've never jumped a Sabre, and probably never will, but the length of time something is in production means nothing. Look at the automotive world. Hell, look at computer operating systems. cavete terrae.
  12. Guilty. Three Musketeers bar for the win. cavete terrae.
  13. Yeah, as soon as I can find someone or somewhere to do it. In the meantime, have you read Brian Germain's book The Parachute and Its Pilot? Great place to start and available everywhere.
  14. Yeah, I booked my space on the 17th of August. I saw this coming a mile away cavete terrae.
  15. :2:too lazy to total 'em. Finally got to jump my new rig, had a blast, I love the new canopy, and the rig is soooooooo comfy. Stood up both the landings, though the immense flare power took a little getting used to. Good times! cavete terrae.
  16. Yeah, as soon as I can find someone or somewhere to do it. cavete terrae.
  17. ahhhhhh... grasshopper, when you can snatch the pebble from my hand... Confucious say, when canopy perfromance go up, margin of error go down. Never forget this grasshopper... we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. Confucious say man who stand on toilet is high on pot. cavete terrae.
  18. They have sheets and stuff available, but I'll probably bring my bag. The thing is just that I'd have had to buy a decent bag if I were camping, since it'd be too cold out there for the one I've got. cavete terrae.
  19. I was going to do that, but it's cheaper for me to get bunkhouse space than to go buy a tent, sleeping bag, etc cavete terrae.
  20. Going from a Raven IV (~280sqft 7cell F-111 square) to a Fusion (210sqft 9cell ZP semi-elliptical) has made me realise that freefall isn't the only fun part of the sport What a friggin' BLAST! It's responsive as hell, turns quickly, has endless flare, but does all of this without being overwhelming, though I have to admit I overflared a little on the first landing. It planed out for a couple dozen feet, and started climbing! cavete terrae.
  21. No need, I just talked to Grue, it worked just fine. Congratulations Grue! Opened perfectly, except for the 360° line twist from flipping the bag the wrong way after psycho packing it I -love- this canopy! cavete terrae.
