Nothing overly recent, but here ya go: http://spiceweasel.net/phonepics/dressedup2.jpg cavete terrae.

Yeah, most people do OK, I just get freaked out seeing people overdrive their tyres. That's mostly from getting rearended twice in the same winter... by the same person! cavete terrae.

http://spiceweasel.net/ace.jpg Like that? cavete terrae.

My bad, I forgot to attach the photo. cavete terrae.

Driving? Five, including a session at a winter performance driving course :) http://spiceweasel.net/driftwidescreen.gif

I have really thick hair that I've been growing out a bit (keeping in mind it's normally very short, so my idea of 'growing out' isn't what most people think), and I can't decide if I should go get it cleaned up and thinned before Eloy or not. It's getting to the point where I always look like I have bedhead It'd cost me like 2/3 of a jump, though OOOOPS, forgot to include the pic. cavete terrae.

Never needed winter tires in Quebec on my Renault 5! lol Needed 'em? No. Would you have been better off? Probably. Snow tyres mean faster stopping, and less understeer when turning. These are both good. cavete terrae.

That's because the majority of people think 4WD means they don't need good tyres. The amount of SUVs I see on bald all seasons is horrifying. all wheel drive + Nokian snow tyres = winner! cavete terrae.

Why do you wear that stupid man suit? cavete terrae.

Hmmm... I put a few jumps on Ravens as mains and didn't consider any of the openings to be slammers. But then again I rolled the nose damn near to the B lines... To be fair, I think it was a combination of a clapped out canopy (I used the same rental rig every jump), and the fact that the harness didn't fit me worth a rat's ass. So what would happen is that the opening would be fairly brisk (I only got properly slammed a couple times, but I'm not gonna forget 'em!), and then the ill-fitting rig would bruise the hell out of my legs cavete terrae.

Better than a tarp and a pair of warm socks cavete terrae.

Nice! Got Skyhook? cavete terrae.

I've got about 35 jumps on a Raven IV set up as a main, and while I'm grateful that I've got some experience with F-111 7cells in case I ever have to use my reserve, I'm rather happy that I am on something that doesn't kick my ass with every opening cavete terrae.

See? I told you you'd do fine! cavete terrae.

that makes it a lot less grim.. I thought I would be down for the winter.. thanks for the info even thought I dont know what kind mine is.. Its possible that I may have the same recovery as you.. I have heard some horror stories.. thanks again What's the location of your hernia? Mine was approximately 2-3" off the centreline of my body, about the same distance above my cash & prizes. For the laparoscopic procedure, they make 3 small incisions: one in the navel, and one about 4" to each side of the navel. Each incision is perhaps half an inch long. cavete terrae.

For what it's worth, I had laparoscopic surgical correction of an inguinal hernia a few years ago. I checked into the hospital at like 830am, and I left at lunchtime. 3 days later I was golfing, 3 days after that I was playing hockey again. cavete terrae.

MDX is the new water :) Looooove it. cavete terrae.

Psycho packers: How to control the slider?

My bad, I just woke up from a nap, and only skimmed. Just out of curiosity, what makes the extension a no-go? cavete terrae. -
Psycho packers: How to control the slider?
grue replied to grue's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You can always get a bridle extension. That's what I ended up doing. That having been said, my pack jobs while I was waiting for it to show up involved a little topskin moving, and they seemed ok. Opened fine, at least. cavete terrae. -
It saddens me to no end that my canopy shares a name with a Ford product cavete terrae.

Yeah, I know, but he specifically mentioned the Nano, so I thought I'd respond to that. cavete terrae.

Several of my good friends work at Apple, people I met when I was workign for the Mac Business Unit at Microsoft. One of these people worked on the Nano, and he flat out told me the reason it's only rated to 10k is because they didn't bother testing it any higher than that. I offered to do it for them with my Nano cavete terrae.
