I can't afford more than a few coached jumps, but I definitely wanna get one with him! cavete terrae.

I think the voice commentary sums it up nicely. So does my signature, for that matter. cavete terrae.

So last night, a couple friends of mine called me for a ride from the bars (I've told 'em they can always call, since I'd rather have 'em annoy me than get themselves or someone else killed). One of 'em I dropped at another party, and the other (who I'll take this moment to note I've always been attracted to) was past the point where I was going to allow her to go back out, so I took her back to her apartment, where she promptly got sick. I stuck around to take care of her for a while, holding her hair, wiping her mouth, and all that oh-so-attractive stuff relating to girls puking for all they're worth. Well, eventually, she was to the point where she felt ok to go to bed, so I helped her clean up, and then put her into bed. As I started getting ready to drive home, she asked me to stay. I agreed, and started to set up camp on the couch, at which point she told me she wanted me to sleep in her bed with her. So I climbed into bed, and she immediately curled up against me, and then grabbed my hand and didn't let go until morning. When we woke up, she kept apologising for being a pain in the ass (her words, not mine!), and promised she'd make it up to me. So anyway, I ask you this: How the hell do I interpret her behaviour? Should I write it off as a side effect of intoxication? Should I assume she just wanted someone nearby? Should I talk to her about it? I really have no idea. cavete terrae.

$20 if you get someone to take you upwind of there at around 14k and do a cross country into the facility cavete terrae.

Can someone give me a rough idea of how much a light meal at the Bent Prop might cost? I figure I'll have to break from my stockpile of peanut butter and jelly at least once or twice so I don't freak out cavete terrae.

Well, I dunno what you'll be loading it at, but the 1.15-1.2 or whatever I'm at, it's pretty zippy. It seems pretty responsive to toggle input, and while the front riser pressure is somewhat high, it's managable. The flare is ENDLESS. I made the amusing mistake of flaring it like the Raven IV I was used to jumping, and ended up about 20 feet higher than when I started the flare It still had more than enough flare to put me down safely, too. The openings...are... like... butter! Hm. what else... Oh yeah, the glide ratio is wonderful! Mine seems to pack a little large, but it's not impossible to handle. My next canopy will likely be the same thing, just in a 190 cavete terrae.

You'll love the Fusion! cavete terrae.

Ok, even if I can't directly participate, I'd -love- to lurk that. cavete terrae.

$150,000 invested. The rest: 6 months of jumping at Eloy, training hard.... then, off to learn to BASE jump. Once at an acceptable level of proficiency, I'd then travel to major drop zones and BASE sites around the world until I was ran out of money. cavete terrae.

New USPA Downsizing Chart proposal
grue replied to BrianSGermain's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Brian, is this being pushed to be a BSR, or just a recommendation? Will current jumpers be grandfathered in, if it's a BSR? cavete terrae. -
USPA downsizing guidelines proposal
grue replied to HydroGuy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
hi Brian, just curious.. is this something you're trying to get implemented as BSR, or just an official suggestion? If it's going to be implemented as a BSR, what about all the people currently exceeding the guidelines? Will they be grandfathered in? I'm loading my Fusion 210 at around a 1.2 or so, and if I were "forced" to upsize, I'd have to sell my rig, since the 210 is an extremely tight fit as it is. I suspect a lot of people are in the same situation. cavete terrae. -
So I just got bored, and I think I might need this altimeter *PIC*

Allllllll riiiight! JACKPOT! cavete terrae.

That's how I've been packing my new rig, too. The only trouble I have is keeping the slider from running amok, but I've got a few new things to try once I get to Eloy. cavete terrae.
