Do you know of the hangmans' noose?

Personally, I think, the woman is crazy! She has no feeling for anyone but her self and totally, lacks a conscience. I'm no 'shrink', just my opinion. I would think, there are some psychoanalists who would did-agree. I have known one or two people in my life who absolutely, did not have a consciense. I do feel, this type person should be separated from society. Yes, a conscience does separate us from the beasts but there are still, some humans who do not have that quality. They are called 'sociopaths'. Chuck So should we judge and kill these "crazy" or would a lifetime of lockup be an option for you? You really like giving options, don't you? What do you think we should do with them? You're the 'almost' barrister! I'm not going near that!!! Chuck Why? What are you scared of? I hate to break the news to you Chuck but you are going to die. We all will. It may be today, next year, this exact moment! It is all an illusion , Chuck. Time was created for man! Men die but their conscience continues. Don't be scared! I assure you.., Everythin' gonna be alright this mo'nin' .

Really? Have you never heard of sociopaths? They still have a conscience(imo) it has simply atrophied(by no fault of their own) but can be/will be rejuvenated.

Not even if your own is in peril. What are you scared of? You were going anyway. It was just a matter of time and time is an illusion created for man.

1 - even if true, it's hardly justification to not wear a helmet - it's justification to absolutely wear one since this is out of the operator's control 2 - hard to give right away to some idiot on a public road flying along a 60mph road at 90 mph down the center stripe instead of in his own lane - no matter how extreme he thinks he is (yes, I'm cynical because I see more idiotic motorcycle driving in my area at least than typical lately - --- since gas prices went up) edit: and yes, these idiots comprise a really small percentage of most motorcyclists - but they are ruining it for the rest of us Yes, If you research the data I'm certain you will find the vast majority of motorcycle accidents are the fault of an automobile driver failing to yield the right of way. Instead of mandatory helmets perhaps we should outlaw cars. Perhaps riders should accept the FACT that, chances are, they will lay down their bike at some point. And, chances are, they will strike their head on something. Maybe hard, maybe just a bump. I lost a good friend about 25 years ago when he lost control and ended up in a field. Not a scratch on him, but he had a severe closed head injury. Laid in a coma for two weeks before they unplugged him and let him pass. His passenger? Busted all to hell. Ribs. Leg. Both arms. Road rash. But he left the hospital before Mike's body. HE was wearing a helmet. The difference was that Mike was thrown clear and ended up in a field where his head hit something, probably a rock. His buddy was trapped under the bike. Personally I don't care if you wear a lid or not. Sometimes I don't, but usually do. But don't feel you have to justify not wearing one. Just say "I don't want to". It works for me. Heart wrenching story. I don't think I have attempted to justify not wearing one. If I wanted to do that I'd have posted a heart wrenching story of my own about a fledgiling skydiver who lost his life on a gravel road at low speed because of his full face helmet.

depends on their actions and if they are a threat to the rest of us - the reason they are a threat to the rest of humanity is secondary to their actions so same answer applies to all rationalizations, not just insanity - if we can help them? then do so. if we can't and they are likely to do it again, we execute them So a life in prison isolation isn't an option for you? you didn't offer it - I answered to the options you provided. IMO, since you changed your offering - Life in prison is another option and it also fits in with the total set spanning release through rehab through imprisonment to execution What? I have to offer it? You can't take the intiative and noodle out other options yourself? Death is the only way!!!!! That's what is wrong with the US today! Too many are waiting for "them" to fix the problems. Most are too complacent now that they have their flatscreens and their beer, a slaves wage to get them by. Maybe we should all take a few minutes a day and just think.

Thing is she will always have to live with the fact that her daughter, the one she took such care of before that stupid mistake, is dead. Personally, I think, the woman is crazy! Yes the woman may be crazy but is that her fault? Should we execute the crazy or help them out?

Will the US Default on Its Debt on 08/02/2011?
DanJohnson replied to masterblaster72's topic in Speakers Corner
Well probably. Thing is that we won't default as the Dollar is the reserve currency. We'll just fire up the presses and crank out enough to pay off . Hurts those with no other options than the dollar (the family in the street) but it's a great option for the government and the banksters who control it. Welcome to capitalism, plebe. -
Reassuring to the masses huddled in the dark and scared shitless around a radio, but completely untrue. So what is it that you are scared of ? And why?

My opinion is that the death penalty option was a poor decision by the prosecuters. Before I go any farther let me in the spirit of full disclosure tell you that after the last weekend of watching Headline News nearly 24/3 , I believe myself to atleast be qualified as a paralegal and actaually ready for the BAR exam. Look .., the death penalty should be reserved for people whose crimes are so henious that we can't allow them to even live in isolation in our prisons. (IMO)This girls' mistakes didn't rise to that level! She's a kid with a kid and made poor decisions due to her lack of maturity. It's tragic that her 3 year old paid the consequences. If that child had been aborted we wouldn't even be talking about her. Oh.., one more thing ,Tink, while I still have on my barrister robes.., generally jury nullification is more to do with the jury not agreeing with the law. I doubt many/any of the jury believe it's ok to kill kids.

QuotePlus... she can hit the talk show circuit, Oprah, The View... and book deals and even, her own reality show! Her possibilities are just endless. If, she doesn't party herself into oblivion.Quote Thing is she will always have to live with the fact that her daughter, the one she took such care of before that stupid mistake, is dead.

Really? I think anybody that says they're not afraid of anything actually is fooling themselves. Obviously you are not yet enlightened. No worries . It will come soon enough. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

most motorcycle accidents are caused by a lack of awareness of surroundings, the helmet directly causes a reduction in awareness by reducing hearing and vission. proven fact. the best way to reduce the chance of an accident is to use all tools at your dispossal to reduce the risk of an accident and that would mean not wearing a full face helmet. My cousin the oral/maxillofacial surgeon has about half of his practice at the local hospital doing repairs of people's faces from accidents. He says a large portion of those are reconstructing the jaws of motorcyclists who weren't wearing full-face helmets. Hear se !

Here's my theory: Casey and her mother had a major argument/falling out about the time the baby disappeared. I'm thinking she wanted grandma to watch the baby so she could (once again) go party and grandma put her foot down. Casey then thought she would knock Caylee out with chloroform for a few hours while she went out. The baby died and she carried her around in the car for a few days until she started stinking. She then placed the duct tape and heart sticker over the baby's nose and mouth to keep the bugs out (like she did with her animals that previously died). She asked the neighbor for a shovel but decided that was too much trouble so she tossed her into the spot where she was discovered. There was plenty of evidence but mostly circumstantial. ...but Casey was the only person who was at the nexus for all of the evidence that did exist. This case was lost at the jury selection phase. My theory is similar except the chloroform. Too much trouble to make when "Zanny the Nanny"(Zanax) is readily available .

Might want to check the facts Andy. More likely that motorcycle accidents are the fault of an automobile driver and your rates are higher because the auto driver(and his insurer) is liable for damages. Helmet laws are in place soley for the benefit of those auto insurers who are liable for damages caused by their customers. Blue Skies, Dan
