Quote Disturbing that you probably didn't consider this an attempt to divide the population against each other before you posted . Yes the averages do show a widening disparity between whites and other races wealth . Fact is the vast majority of whites are in the same boat as the other races mentioned. A small number of whites have made insane amounts of money during this "financial crisis" . Those profits skew the averages. This article is a clear attempt to divide the have nots along racial lines so that they will fight amongst themselves instead of flogging and jailing the criminal banksters and the politicians.

No contradiction. Just making reference to two different things. God has revealed Himself in different ways. One way is through “general revelation” which includes the creation and your conscience (e.g. the knowledge of God which has been made apparent through all that has been made). The other is “special revelation” which includes scripture (e.g. acts of Jesus, teachings of the Prophets, the Apostles, works of the Holy Spirit, etc.) Belief in God is established “generally” by what has been made (including us) and our conscience bearing witness to right and wrong (appeal to a moral standard; I would argue moral absolutes). However, that simple mental ascent to the truth cannot save you. Only through the “special revelation” of scripture can we know and understand what is required of us to have a right standing before God. That “right standing” before God can only come through faith in Jesus Christ which can only come from God. It’s not simply that a non-believer can’t come to “saving faith” in Christ apart from intervention by God. It’s that he won’t come because of his radically fallen nature due to the fall. You sure do know Gods' Rule Book. How did you come to such sure knowledge?

Any one wanting to change that is unelectable because their support base is geographically diverse. 20% of the population supporting libertarian ideals end up with 0 US Senators and 0 US Representatives instead of 10 and 87 respectively. A move to proportional representation isn't going to happen because it would be too disruptive to the incumbents' re-election and politicians being promoted from state to national office on their promise of time at the federal feed bag. Pissing and moaning about how "The Wealthy" don't pay their fair share of a broken government is a big distraction from the fact that the government is not the sort of thing any of us should be spending money on. So do you , Drew, support the idea of just not paying Federal Income Taxes?

QuoteOnce again, I'm getting good entertainment from - all you people having wadded up panties Quote Dude.., Don't ask don't tell isn't law quite yet!!! And really.., You're sounding like a guy in white socks and sandals. The cool dude, get all the chicks phrase is ..," Most Excellent Entertainment"(TM)

There is no proof. There isn't even "proof".Quote Are you talking about God or Sept 11?

[replyIt is becoming apparent that we have to increase taxes on everyone AND cut spending even to people's favorite programs to plug the hole in the budget. It will be painful and several sacred cows will have to get slaughtered. But the other option - do nothing - is much worse. You missed an option there.., What if we simply default. What if we announce to the world that we're simply not going to pay? So what would happen tommorow? Got any idea? Anyone?

You got to do a lot better than fantasy to argue your point. Just because you do not like the people who provide a means to allow you to feed and clothe yourself doesn't mean that they are weaker than you. Quote I do like the people I work for. If I didn't I wouldn't create for them the functional beauty . I count all of my patrons as friends. It doesn't change the fact that without the money they are toast.

And this is where you are making some mistakes here: Those " Gucci loafer" wearing fools own the land the mexican labor force is tilling. This is who pays them and grants them permission to be on their land in the first place. Your collapse will affect them too. All land in the US belongs to someone or some entity. Quote You are wrong. Nobody owns land. One would think the Native Americans owned it but they were dispossesed. These fat, parasites can be dispossesed just as easily and by my reconing even more easily. The pilsbury dough boy squishing in his loafers ,hungry and unable to feed himself or even build a fire in his own fireplace? Oh yeah.., he'll be disposessed by the very immigrants he used to exploit. And the Servants shall be the Masters.

I edited my post before you posted. So there will be inconsistency here. I'll just say again what I changed to keep things on track: They/we have worked hard. but not to succeed. To exist. Wrong way of doing things if you want to move forward. Actually, I saw more fat bodies in the low income community; even on the chili fields. The wealthy are a bit more healthier, I find. Migrant workers die a lot earlier in life too. The wealthy are stronger and healthier in general. Also, they, unlike the migrant workers can revert back to basics and have. The migrant workers, however, have never been rich, cannot revert back up to success after your Armageddon. Obviously my direct observations of the incredibly monetarily wealthy and yours vary in huge degrees. I see fat bodies who don't even know how to cook a meal or go grocery shopping. That is done for them. I see people on a plethora of pharmeceuticals who visit a doctor often. How will they cope when their anti depressants are not available at the time when their financial empires are pulled out from under them as quickly as the table cloth leaving the settings in place? They will be shitting and pissing on themselves with worry and confusion. Walking in Guggi loafers puddled with their own urine while the Mexican labor force will be going about their normal buisness in the Port-a-John. No Sir, the monetarily wealthy don't have true wealth, only an illusion.
-
So what you are telling me is that those who did not work hard or had knowledge of how to produce wealth and confort of that time are going to survive better than the people who are extremely practiced at changing their strategy that reflects the period. Quote You think that Mexican immigrants don't work hard ? And yes, it is my belief that these fat bodies who don't even know how to change the oil in their suv or charge the battery in the golf cart they ride around their estate on are gonna have a very hard time when financial armegeddon rains down on them.

And I'll just lump you with those who misunderstand money. Just like only intelligent people only know how they are different from regular people, only the Rich know why they are more successful than other people. That's the thing. The monetary illusion is about to comr crashing down. It was inevitable . A ten percent debt to money creation can only last about 100 years. The time is up and those who have been living the life of illusionary riches will be surely disappointed when their Federal Notes are worthless. How will these obese, out of shape, don't know how to do anything practicle related to survival deal with no servants, food shortages etc. These Mexican immigrants I work with have lived with those conditions all their lives and won't be so affected. The paradigm of wealth is shifting sure as the poles of the Earth .
-
Your statement is nonsense. As money is only an illusion then monetary wealth is also an illusion. True wealth is measured in knowledge ,health, and personal relationships. True. But only poor people who are usually lazy say that. Kind of like ugly people say beauty is on the inside. However, if you already have knowledge, health, and personal relationships, which almost everybody in the US has, Monetary wealth is the only indicator of true wealth. Again, money is an illusion. It is created on a computer screen out of thin air and can be wiped out as fast as pushing the delete button. Monetary wealth is an indication of nothing. I work for some incredibly monetary wealthy clients. The Mexican immigrants working alongside of me seem far happier and at peace internally than these monetarily wealthy. If you want to believe that holding vast amounts of the illusion of money somehow is the score card of wealth than I'll just lump you into the same category of those with fundamentalist religious beliefs.

You are probably too young to remember the Iran/ Contra affair. You are old enough to understand this gun running scandal that has just recently been exposed. Yes Virginia, conspiracies do exist.

"Yes We Can !!!" Law and the Constitution have been no impediment to the police state since Sept 11 01. Why would you think that there are limits ? Listen, your life is worth less than shit to this government. They have decided they don't even need to have a trial before they execute you. So let's just continue debating the best path toward job creation and how to stem the forclosure crisis , preserve Social Security and whose fault all of this is anyway. Everyone back to your normal activities and let's just all act like this government is civilized and would never assasinate you or your loved ones. Even if they made a point to declare that legally they can.
-
This is ludicrous to me but of course I don't have a big flat screen or even want one. I'm talkin' about this spectacle of the debt ceiling and what to do about it and all these people acting like that's our priority. Do you know that this administration has declared without benefit of legislation that they have the right to asasinate American Citizens anywhere in the world on just the suspicion of terroristic activity? No court , warrant , indictment ,or jury required to sentence you to death. All that is required is a suspicion. And your all talkin about Casey Anthony, Debt Ceilings,Left /Right, Republicans/ Democrats and debating God?

[reply. It might be time to apply some second amendment remedies to the obstructionists and the supporters that are holding the USA hostage to the extremely wealthy.Quote Relax. Get a drink of water. Walk around a bit and enjoy all of your senses. Relax. OK, now, really.., you don't really want to act out violently inorder to propigate the changes you believe our system of governance requires do you? It can be changed non violently. One doesn't pursue peace, tranquility, and economic stability with a gun in hand. Things are about to change in a major way as the Universe takes its' course. All these economic problems are a sideshow distraction to keep your mind off what is really coming around the sun in the not to distant future.

Well, that pretty much says it all. Nope. I did that as a citizen of this country, thank you. It's just too bad that the two listed were a comparison of two evils. That's why I usually write-in. Quote LOL! Andy, the mouse thing wasn't meant as a dig at you or a reference to lack of spine, etc. It is an old analogy of our electorial process. The mice every four years do their civic duty, go to the polls and cast a ballot for one of the two cats. The fat cat gets elected but makes laws which are good for the cats and not so good for the mice. Four years later the mice go back to the polls and this time they vote in the white cat. The white cat makes laws which are good for the cats , not so good for the mice. Finally a black cat runs and promises change you can believe in. But the black cat gets into office and guess what.., he makes laws that are good for the cats , not so good for the mice. As long as the mice only have the option on the ballot of voting for cats there really is no reason for them to go to the polls. If ever a mouse became really popular and had a chance of winning and doing something for the mice, they'ld call him a Bolshevick and have him arrested. As far as the mice writing in a candidate.., when was the last time a write in won a presidential election? Here is a note from a man far smarter than myselfhttp://dailybail.com/home/george-carlin-on-politicians-the-public-and-why-he-doesnt-vo.html

Listen, If the military budget was cut by 99% the money isn't gone. it's still in the economy. Maybe freeing up that money and taking it out of government control and leaving it in the private sector where it was earned is the exact stimulus required.
-
So...list the national bozos politicians YOU voted for, eh? Son, I'm old enough and wise enough not to legitimize this charade of national elections by my participation. How about you,Andy? Did you as a mouse stand in line to cast a vote for either of the cats on the ballot?
