It's not a sin to be ignorant. That just means you haven't been exposed to some type of information. If you choose to stay ignorant (willfully ignorant) then you're stupid. You're right. Visualizing that you're a successful opera singer isn't going to change your vocal cords. However, if you listen to opera a lot and begin to softly sing along I think you'll find that your voice improves to some degree. People have been learning guitar this way since record players were made. For skydiving, watch as much video as you can. Imagine you are one of the people in the video and imagine what you would be seeing and feeling. I did some thing similar to get to the next level in RW. (From flailing 50 percenter to a much smoother 90 percenter.) This was 1972 and all I had at hand were pictures in the magizines. I looked at those pictures for literally hours before the first time we went to Z-Hills. We made 5 loads and it was the best skydiving day I had ever had up until then. Another similar story. Before I started skydiving I was a springboard diver. Not a real good one but I had a full list on low board and I really liked showing off at the pool. I was asked to judge an AAU meet one day and spent several hours watching national class divers do thier stuff. I went to work out that night and it seemed like I could do any thing I wanted. Everything went in the water the it was supposed to. Because of all that time watching divers much better than I was. Skydiving is not difficult. In fact, it's one of the easiest things you've ever learned. There are only three places you can be on this planet. On the ground, in the water, or in the air. There isn't any other place you can be. You were probably about a year and half old when you learned to walk. That was after around 6 months of calendar time and about 3 weeks (500 hours) of practice time. You might have been 6 to 9 years old when you learned to swim. That probably took you 2 weeks of calendar time and 12 to 15 hours of practice time. By the time you had 1 hour of freefall, you had the same degree of mobility in that medium as you did when you first learned to walk or swim. 1 hour. Skydiving is the easiest thing you've learned to do as far as mobility in a medium goes. You don't think about how to walk, you just do it, You probably don't think about how to swim, you just move yourself through the water to get close the girl in the small bikini. Now that you know how to do it, you need to learn WHAT to do. That's where the visualization comes in. Concentrate on what to do. LeBron James doenn't think about how to dribble the ball or how to make a jump shot. He's thinking about where the shot is going to be taken. So realize that you know how to skydive and learn what to do. And smiling make it even easier. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. The Fabulous Thunderbirds don't get much air time but really are, well, fabulous. And I'll toss in an obscure one hit band. The Strawberry Alarm Clock. Mainly because Jimmy Pitman, the lead guitarist, jumped at Palatka through the '70s. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. That you find it more disturbing that one person doesn't recall or know about an instance of this kind of corruption, no matter who is the corruptee rather than the corruption itself says something about the general state of things or about how far partisanship has infected the general state of things. My question is, "Is it Legal?" Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. Louis D Brandeis Where are we going and why are we in this basket?

Are foreigners allowed to make contributions to our political campaigns? I thought that they were not but I have read where Mitt Romney has had a fundraiser in London and one in Israel. Would the Saudies or the Chinese be allowed to make contributions, even through PACs? Campaign financing is maybe the most corrupting thing about our system of government. The founding fathers could not have imagined such a thing or they would have adressed it some where. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. No reference to batwings anymore in the current BSR's that I can find: Current BSR's: http://www.uspa.org/SIM/Read/Section2/tabid/164/Default.aspx And the only difference between that old definition of a bat wing and the new wingsuits, is the use of rigid materials, like battens in a sailboat sail, to stiffen the wing. So, since that ban is no longer in place, someone could build an old-fashioned bat-wing suit just like in "Gypsy Moths", and go for it, without being in violation of the Basic Safety Regulations. Attached: 1) Bat-wing ban from 1981 BSR's 2) "Gypsy Moths" batwing They didn't do a bat-wing jump in the "Gypsy Moths". They did the CAPE JUMP. So I guess it was OK. /reply] Well....there's who I am and then there's what I do. Who I am seems to dictate some restraint regarding not intentionally hurting other people ~ physically, financially or emotionally. What I do when it's only myself in the crosshairs is a whole different ballgame... Empty stretch of road - hammer down. Walk along the edge on the other side of the fence - sure, the view is better. Occasionally SCUBA at night alone - peaceful & relaxing. Heck I Skydive at night into tight LZ's with fireworks strapped to my body. I'm not trying to kill my self, but OTOH don't wanna live in Nerf world with the cubical zombies...I stay within my comfort zone. Because one person comfort zone is outside another persons limits, the first person is said to bi giong too far. It's just a matter of perspective. If you can'tt run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. Understand that the concept of a voter ID is significantly different than a national ID. A person might be able to make some sort of argument in favor of a voter ID as being part of the registration process. There is no argument whatsoever that is valid for a national ID. The legality of a human simply existing should never be contingent on a piece of paper. It's not the existance of a person (human) that is "contingent on a piece of paper" but the rights and privlidges of ciitizen that are the crux of the matter, in my mind. A standardized National ID might solve a lot of the problems. I'm also sure that the rule of "unintended consequences" would create another set of problems. If the set of new problems is smaller than the preioius set of problems, then that might be considered progress? The city should have ticketed and / or towed the cars. After a few weeks, they would have made more money thatn the fine. If the people got to the house by a bus that then left and returned to pick them up later there would have been on problem. For the city to use "zonning alws" as the reason is stupid and brings the ridecule on the city. They should all be voted out. The voter purge laws/regulations smack of poll taxes, literacy tests and other requirements to keep minoriteis from voting. Is this a ploy to get the "camals noes in the tent" toward a National ID card? I don't like the voter purge thing but a National ID card might be the solution to a variaty of issues. What do you think? Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. Louis D Brandeis Where are we going and why are we in this basket?

You don't think anything is dangerous until some thing happens. I got out of the sun roof of a Square Back so that my heels were inside under the back of the "hole" and my knees were on the front of the "hole". I was sort of "cantilevered" out over the hood in a tracking postions. Not much angle of attack so not much lift. Until I flexed my knees to lift my angle. I did this at the same time that we were going over an over-pass. That slight arc was just enough pass some critical something and I felt my knees leave the roof. I flared (flailed, actually) and wound up standing in the sun roof. I did NOT hand my beer to some one and say, "Watch this." We were ort of beer and that's where we were going. That was my favorite line. I actually felt sorry for the guy by the end. He had been groomed for this job his whole life, had no other skills, and with the release of the movie, he totally burned that bridge behind him. I saw this before the pfrase came into popular rse , but as I thought about it later on on I came to think of it as child abuse. Not unlike Nazi/Skinhead parents teaching theire children to hate.
