  1. That is asinine and not the view of "most" creationists.
  2. if everything was so 'perfect', then why are more than 99% of all species that have existed over time already extinct? I guess they were not so 'perfect' afterall. Did you catch the "in the beginning" part in the quote above?
  3. I agree. It is their choice.
  4. Millions of years is an assumption. That aside, everything God created was perfect in the beginning. Through one man, sin entered the world. The consequence of that disobedience was God's curse on all of creation described in Genesis 3. Romans 8 describes anticipation of the renewal of creation to its original state when sin is erradicated.
  5. Something's GOT to be wrong with "gay bigways." I don't care who you are.
  6. No, but they, like everything else in creation are subject to the effects of sin.
  7. Sin affected all of creation. Nothing exists currently "just as God made" it.
  8. Oh dear god the "lifestyle" argument. What is it about my lifestyle that you disagree with? Do I get to work too late every day? Do I lane change without signalling? Is it that I lick my fingers when I'm sharing a bowl of popcorn with another person? Do you not care for my choice to wear jeans and t-shirts a lot? Do you think I should date more often? WTF is it? I thought we were talking about sexual preference/lifestyle...and that my opinion wasn't personal?
  9. Let me begin by stating that I disagree with the derogatory nature of this thread. I have had friends who are homosexual and hold no misgivings toward them because of their sexual preference. I disagree with their lifestyle and think it's wrong biblically, morally, and even biologically, however, that is their choice. I still like them as people. In a self-righteous sense, it is not our place to judge. We all have our own demons to deal with. That’s not to say that God’s standard doesn’t still hold true. It is not self-righteous judgment to convey God’s standard of right and wrong and the consequences for our actions. I think the predisposition for homosexuality can be biological, environmental, or both (e.g. "born that way", learned behavior, or both). I believe the fall of man in the beginning and the entry of sin into the world was so profound that it affected every aspect of life. With regard to our thoughts, in our natural state, our motives have been radically flawed. Our thoughts and actions are no longer perfectly oriented toward God and are now focused on our own selfish desires. Our physical chemistry is also flawed and imperfect and can affect our sexual orientation. However, his flawed nature affects everything and not just in the area of sex and relationships. This departure from God’s original intent in sex and relationship is but one sin that will have to be accounted for. It is really no different from every other transgression of God’s moral law.
  10. I don't think you "got" my play on your words. You and winsor should really lighten up. You seem so angry abd worked up. It's not healthy. I realize attacking your religion is a touchy thing....but it's just conversation. Don't let it get to you.
  11. Well you have so far attempted to use very poor logic in place of actual evidence to support an ancient mythology. So no you haven't been doing well. Would it help if I used good logic in place of evidence?
  12. What!? Climate changes!? Shocking!
  13. That's too bad. I'm easily amused. You guys are doing great!
  14. And why would He create someone who would do nothing but spend his entire life being rebellious, arrogant, and ungrateful towards Him, hating and cursing Him with every breath? And yet, would die for that person anyway... Amazing!
  15. I just heard that Coreece got banned. I'm finding that hard to believe and very hypocritical seeing as how many arrogant insulting asses are still here. Ridiculous!
  16. Is the Backwards Human Retina Evidence of Poor Design? By: Jerry Bergman, Ph.D. and Joseph Calkins, M.D.
  17. The Human Retina Shows Evidence of Good Design by: Jerry Bergman, June 8, 2011 Charles Darwin wrote in Origin of Species that, with regard to the human eye being developed by natural selection “seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree.” ADDED: Added: I’m guessing THIS is the article you were referring to in Scientific American. The title reads, “Evolution of the Eye Scientists now have a clear vision of how our notoriously complex eye came to be.” It is amazing how just about every year, it seems, the evolutionists come up with a new miraculous discovery making it “clear now” and “beyond dispute” how things came to be. Then….inevitably…they change their mind…or have to reexamine…recalculate…or even completely retract what often times has been shown to be complete hogwash or even a hoax (e.g. piltdown man). It’s the “science of speculation.” It changes with the wind. But….as stated above…they now have a “clear vision.” It’s all cleared up now… Except…there seem to be more and more PROBLEMS “Scientific American admits creationists hit a sore spot - Need for a “new paradigm” in bird evolution” by Michael Matthews, AiG–US March 13, 2003
  18. Maybe the kind of 'scientists' who believed in the ether, or the four humours, or geocentrism. Aren't you glad that's not what we call science these days? Creation Scientists Added: And those (speaking of the modern scientists) are just the ones who will admit it despite the extreme academic bias.
  19. I'm not anti-science. Science has God as it's foundation. Scientists used to be oriented in that way. Nowadays, they worship the creation over the Creator.
  20. You've still got the problem with infinite regression. Anyway... "Quantum originator Max Planck expressed this same view in a 1937 address. He stated that science and religion wage a "tireless battle against skepticism and dogmatism, against unbelief and superstition," with the goal: "toward God!" (Gillispie, 1975)."
