The word devout has a religious connotation. That’s an interesting word to pair with atheist. It’s got nothing to do with understanding. It has to do with your adherence to a religion of some sort. In his case, atheism, which he might say is non-religious. It’s an oxymoron.

I got suspended for saying that “This site fosters leftist assholes.” I could have just as easily said “This site fosters assholes from the right.” I’m sure you would agree with that. I am, at least currently, also a dz.com user and you probably consider me an asshole. That’s ok. The moderator stated this for justification: “Calling dz.com users assholes really isn’t OK, unless it’s preceded by “hey,” and used in skydiving.” However, I did not attack an individual. I’d say that my suspension is proof positive of the accuracy of what I said.
