It'll do until you realize that you're not cool unless your helmet matches your jumpsuit. Put gaffer's tape over snag points. The last thing you want is a line or riser snagging on the goggle clip. The two likely outcomes of a cutaway from that are the chin strap choking you out or the main canopy entangling with the reserve and probably still choking you out sometime before impact. Yeah, that's bad for him to break from the dive-flow but why don't you guys just have him pull in place all the time. That way you're not wondering if you're tracking away from a canopy in the center or away from two others tracking in various directions. That's kind of like with the old main landing area at my DZ. 50% of landings were crosswind AND we managed to land in opposite directions all the time. Made for some great training. What can we do about Skyride?

That's cute. "Yes Carolyn, we have 5 detectives on this for you. They're working in shifts!" Doesn't really matter in the long run. If you're going to get into it then your instructors will just know that you've gotten in a couple of tandems. The jump isn't any different for a member or non-member. Although I'm sure someone could split hairs and say a tandem counts for this or that...in the long run...nope. Either way, don't believe what you hear from internet people. But, if you have the time, call a Skyride number, say you're from Richmond, VA and see where they try to send you. Again this has nothing to do with ASC and everything to do with Skyride. while i think the uproar in this thread is completely silly, your post is a good example of cultural bias.. they CAN absolutely tell who is who... its not hard to identify someone even in full garb IF you are used to doing so...
