  1. I go every 6 months because its free. Have a friend that didn't go for about 4 years and hardly brushed his teeth. He claimed to have "self cleaning" teeth and that beer helped them stay clean (these are the idiots i hang with). He went about 2 years ago and had 17 cavities. He now brushes.
  2. I would tie him up, keep his eyes pried open with some mechanical device and make him watch me masturbate on the coran. Then Id throw him in a human rock tumbler so he can feel how it feels to be ground up alive by falling buildings. For me, New Castle beverage to enjoy his screams. For my friend, Scott Rohner 9/11/01 And for our family friend and my fathers fellow firefighter/brother, Daniel Harlin 9/11/01 FUCK YOU OSAMA, you got off easy, scum.
  3. Nice. I will sleep like a baby tonight. I still say that it was some drunk kids funning you. I concur. Real gang members (especially the young ones) have something to prove, you would of had a problem right then. When you got defensive and backed out your car they fled.
  4. It simply could of been some kids just trying to get a rise out of you. When my friends and I were bored as shit in winter time when we were 16 or 17 (couldn't skateboard anywhere, no bands playing, no parties to go to, nothing to do), we would just pick someone to follow while driving around stoned. Sometimes for an hour, just to scare someone. Assholish, yes, but bored and young. It would make people nervous which was funny at the time. When we got bored with that we would follow cops around until they pulled us over and we would deny we were following them just to fuck with them. But that was 15 years ago, people are a lot crazier nowadays. Maybe it was some gang member initiation thing that they chickened out on murdering you. Be careful, like others said, don't stop at your home or get boxed in. About 6 years ago in Los Angeles gang members would single out a lone car on the freeway in the early morning hours and shoot it up. I always drove with groups of cars around for about a year at night on those freeways.
  5. There is a lack of canopy training. Its up to you to take classes and seek out instruction it seems. Practice. Im working on my A currently. The last few solo fun jumps I did I opened at 9000 (last out) to have time to play with my canopy without distractions of other around (still looking around for aircraft and such). I practiced a half braked pattern and landings. I wouldn't of tried it if I was in normal traffic, not yet at least because I wasn't sure where half brakes would land me. Did a rear riser pattern and landing too. Messed around trying one and two stage flares to see my stall points. Get some coaches and on a radio, open high and see what your canopy will let you do. Maybe some footage of your landings to be critiqued. Oh, 2 or 3 close calls, I would of got advice after the first one. Be safe! Edit: I was also doing 360s and 180s up high, checking my altimeter before and after I completed my turns to see how much altitude I lost with different turns. I can't remember the numbers, but Ill keep practicing to know my limitations. Keep practicing.
  6. 10 more years of Shahs "help me" threads that never seem to help him
  7. Go get some bloodwork done. Have them test for everything. Low energy can stem from a lot of different problems, not just being overworked or depression. You might find a simple answer why you feel down. Or maybe there's an underlying problem that you're not aware of.
  8. Shah. It seems like you're trapped in a prison of what you created. Destroy it, and rebuild somewhere with more of the things you're looking for in this too short of a life. I lived in Jersey for 19 years before I had it with the cops, traffic, grey long winters being stuck inside, ect. 10 years ago I said enough. I wasnt happy. Packed my car with some clothes, my music, some buds, my skateboard and 900 bucks and headed west on Christmas day. Decided California would be nice to live in. I couldn't be happier living here. I never looked back. I wanted sun, mountains to play and camp in, skating year round, beaches and sunsets to appease my soul at the end of the day, and a slower pace of life than Jersey. I got what I wanted. You can't take your condo when you die, fuck it. If you died tomorrow, you died unhappy. If I died tomorrow, I died happy. This and that, material things, what people think of you don't/ shouldn't matter in life. Get out of your misery, even if it means you lose some money. Be where you want to be, be what you want to be. In the end you'll die with an honest smile, and you won in the adventure life should be. Smile brotha

  10. Good call on the tunnel time, it will definitely help you perform. Listen to your instructors, ask questions no matter how stupid they may seem, and have fun! Peace.
  11. I saw this documentary a while ago. Today I heard it being talked about on talk radio, it seems they just heard of it. Im surprised more people havent seen it. Its about Americas natural gas resources and the companies that victimize our citizens and pollute the lands. http://blip.tv/file/4932995 Theres a part two on the right. Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum.
  12. Sissy, four eyes, ginny, eggroll, spaghetti bender, carrot top/strawberry short cake/raggity anne/mick- names i was called because of my red hair.
  13. Will terrorists strike us again, yes. Will a government alert keep you from getting murdered, no. Live free. Enjoy life. Fear is control.

Found it on DVD.
  15. Good idea. Being new, it makes me wonder why everyone is landing in different directions. I just stick to north on final on L&V days. I don't know if this is a good idea or not, for the swoopers, have manifest put all who want to swoop on the same load? Bump the load up if theres not enough to fill it the slots, or fill it in with some solo belly flyers willing to open high being last out. No swooping on a conservative load unless its a low pass for one or two swoopers. All conservative canopy flyers still stay clear of the swooping air space for safe pattern practice. Then when new students or jumpers visiting go into the restricted airspace they wont be in the way of someone setting up to have their fun swoop and can be told they shouldn't be there when they land. Or would manifest have a hard time organizing this? I don't know shit, i ask when i should get out every load, fly my pattern of 90s, don't burn a brotha' on the question
  16. I used to fly into the airfield there years ago, never any skydiving going on. Maybe its a new operation. Edit: Just called the airfield, they verified the skydiving company is just starting this week (talked with the flight school there). They're just waiting out for good weather. Kind of fake to not use genuine pictures on their site. There's always skydive sussex about an hour north drive from pittstown.
  17. "Pull" is a good one. Maybe I missed it. Edit: "Deployment", not my good.
  18. Or the people who post what they're doing at the moment are just as annoying. "Just got home, making dinner" "Just checked in at the 'Green Burrito' " "Going to grandmas with the baby" Who gives a shit. Im just as bad because I now post when Im taking a poop, because its so important for others to know.
  19. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, becoming a skydiver is too easy to compare it to becoming a pilot. To earn a PPL, you need to have money (about $10k), time, and more importantly, the maturity to study, pass a written, impress a CFI, and survive a check ride. To become a skydiver, you need money (about $1500), a little time, and only to pass a few levels to the satisfaction of an AFF I. Nothing about the process is challenging, or requires much dedication on the part of the student. No part of brings into question you judgement, ability to plan ahead, or overall maturity. If you plan it out right, you never even have to jump in anything but the most ideallic conditions as a student, and then are deemed a 'skydiver' and granted the full privledges of a licensed jumper. If you make it easy, you'll attract people who are only interested in easy. There may be other types as well, but if the slackers see it as something they can do, you'll have them waiting for your at manifest before the FJC. If you make it easy, you never weed out those who really shouldn't be up there, the bolwing speech isn;t used nearly enough. Skydiving used to be harder. Gear was heavier, less comfortable, less reliable, less easy to land, pakcers were non-existant, planes were slower, and all of these things made it hard enough that you really had to be 'cut out' for jumping, or you just wouldn't last. If you make jumping available to everyone, flying in the pattern is going to be similar to driving on the freeway. How safe is that? +1 on that. When i did my PPL there was A LOT more teaching and learning to do to acquire my license than it was to finish AFF and jump solo. I was able to solo after 6 jumps, freaking crazy I thought, especially for those who may not realize a simple fuck up will kill you. My instructors said i was a good student hence graduating one class early, but I think more instruction needs to be giving to get your A or pass AFF (money factor aside). I know people who have their A and plf every jump. Shouldn't be that way I feel skill wise. Im new to skydiving, other people scare me, just like driving a car. I can pull at 3500 if I want to but I don't and wont for a long time. All today I've been dumping at 6000 and once at 9000 (to get more used to canopy flying, awesome pulling high is!) and to be the last down with the tragic events in my mind of the past couple weeks (rest their souls). I plan on working on canopy skills first, taking classes and tips from the experienced, getting coaches as much as I can which will be less jump tickets, but learning is the most important. Granted pulling high will give me less freefall time to work on my flying, but it will keep me and others safe with my lack of experience. Ill be dammed if I take someone in or someone takes me in because I didn't have the skill yet to fly amongst them. Seems to me after AFF its really up to you, the jumper, to seek out learning and safety of others (which is scary for those who think they're good enough to do what they please). That's part of it for me, the continued learning. Shit, if I wanted, after AFF I can do solos without any other instruction for the rest of my life, how is that safe. Newer jumpers, like me, should really seek out a continued learning. I dont know if there has to be more regs on learning, but it should be up to the jumper to know they need to continue to learn and what their skills dictate what they can do or not do. No one should be done learning until their last day on earth.
  20. Very effin' cool! Im always in awe of people who can carve/sculpt. I wish i could do it. The closest I get to sculpting is doing off center lathe work, which gives turnings an odd neat look. You can sell your stuff on etsy.com I've sold a few pieces on there. They've got some creative people selling stuff on there. Im a luthier/furniture builder/museum exhibit builder. Here's a few pics of stuff I've made, since you like woodworking. Again, nice work man. Edit: Uploads didn't work from my phone. Camping at my DZ for the weekend, post them on Sunday when i have a real computer.
  21. Taco Bell is just plain CHUCK! Nasty
  22. Why don't you run for some part of government and try to change what you don't like about it. Bitching about it changes nothing. Maybe you're not smart enough to run, since you posted on a public forum you don't pay your taxes.
  23. Peeing in a pool is easy. Pooping in one would be an artform.
