I believe the ZPX packs 1 size smaller so it should fit I have a g4 m4 and I asked if I could get a 190 Pilot zpx and they said it will fit. (Optimal for m4 is 170) (Optimal for m6 is 210) They did tell me a Sabre 2 190 would not fit in mine but it fit just fine. I believe (but correct me if I'm wrong) you could always get a 7 cell 220 since 7 cells have a smaller pack volume

I have 3 different 182 dz's within an hour from my house and the closest turbine is about 3 hours away

I almost lost my shoe on my last jump. It was for my SCR jump and I was diving the door on the lead plane. I guess I hit my shoe on the door when I was leaving and it caused me to do some flips on exit but I still flew to my spot and had a successful SCR jump! The only reason I didn't lose it is because it got stuck in my booties

just out of curiosity what were the winds when yall took off?
-
i was planning on jumping, but I don't think I'll make it back from work in time to jump...I think it is suppose to be gusting to around 30 so I wouldn't jump anyway....damn winds this is getting ridiculous

I think I had line twists on all my static line jumps except one...I know that they say you get them about 90% on S/L and after I was done with static line I have had one line twist after that. I would have blamed it on my packer, but I pack all my own so damn!

I just had an hour with him and he is freaking amazing....helped me so much

I am the exact opposite..about 6'2" 170 and I float like a feather. I have to do a super arch and I wear a super slick/tight jumpsuit. I've been told to wear a weight belt to make it easier on me, but I'd rather not wear one

Are there really that many crooked skydivers?
faulk04 replied to catfishhunter's topic in The Bonfire
I bought my rig off DZ for 4500 and I sent the check first. I was in constant communication with the guy selling it. My check arrived a day late so I was worried about that. When he said he shipped off my rig it didn't ship till 2 days after he said he shipped it. I was again very worried but it eventually got here and have loved it ever since. I could have got burnt but the seller seemed fine so I went with it -
what a great weekend of jumping!!
faulk04 replied to jrmrangers's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Congrats on being able to jump, seems like you had a blast! The weather here has been shit the past few weeks so barely any jumps for me. I am hoping for that to change this weekend -
I have him booked for an hour in 2 weeks, cant wait!

Cypres2 cutter broken, any rigger feedback?
faulk04 replied to GravityGirl's topic in Gear and Rigging
random newb question here, if the cutter breaks will the AAD turn on? Or is the only way to notice something is wrong is during a inspection or reserve repack? -
I was in your same situation. I weight about 165-170 and when I bought my rig it came with a 170...they didn't want me to downsize from a 220 to a 170 so I bought a 190 and jumped that. I jumped it 10 times and my instructors were all comfortable with me jumping the 170. Just discuss it with your instructors since they are the ones that know your canopy skills the best...not the people on here.

Which of these is more newbie friendly? I am taking a tunnel trip to FL in may and would like to do some jumps after the tunnel but I've heard no one wants to jump with newbies!

If the g3 is still the same size as a g4 it will fit. Here is the response from Mirage about this. Todd, Yes, a ZPX 188 would fit in an M4 :) Let me know if you have any further questions! Thanks and have a great day! On Feb 5, 2011, at 3:51 PM, Todd wrote: Jeannie, Would a pilot 188 with zpx fit in the m4? Since I know the zpx makes a smaller pack volume. Thanks, todd I even fit a sabre 2 190 in my M4 and it was a little tight to pack but it fit

I know the feeling buddy. Work and weather didn't cooperate for about 2 months for me. Everytime I had off the winds were killer. I was able to make my check dive last weekend and it was great. Now I just have to send off the paper work and now I can, (but won't jump) in any wind conditions :) There is always next weekend!

I think I ordered my tony suit after 10 jumps and thought I would be able to get quite a few more jumps in before it came in. I think I had 14-15 jumps when it came in. I got it with the booties on it and was told I couldn't jump it until I learned a little more about control in freefall(went through the static line training) so we tucked the booties in and taped them so they couldn't come lose. 2 jumps later I put on the booties and it was quite a different experience. Should you buy a jumpsuit early on? I would leave it up to your instructors to decide that, they know how you are doing. I was just itching to buy gear and I bought a helmet and altimeter for my first purchase then came the jumpsuit. Bought a rig about 2 months ago but haven't been able to jump it due to weather and work, so hopefully I can change that tomorrow!

but he is getting help with it!! That was a great tribal council

Matter are useless. Jumpsuit recommendations?
faulk04 replied to goldengolly's topic in Gear and Rigging
what about tonysuits? I ordered mine and got it with rush delivery and it made it to me in 2 weeks. I have been extremely happy with mine and the customer service was great -
congrats man, I hope to have mine soon whenever work and the weather decide to cooperate with me. I will finally be able to jump again at the end of the month if the weather is good.

I bet it is an incredible site to see...as soon as work and weather cooperate and I can get my last few student jumps in I will be visiting some other dzs so maybe WA will be in there eventually

bald eagles are incredible. I love having the opportunity to see one everyday and getting the chance to be close up to these fantastic animals. Here is a picture of the immature eagle I deal with http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/168993_186522281369849_133141696707908_520226_7135382_n.jpg

can you post the video? I'd love to see it

Here is a picture of the Broad-winged that I suggested earlier http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/PHOTO/LARGE/MDA_020503_100003_S.jpg if you compare it to yours they look very similar. I am a little hesitant on saying that I know for a fact that it is a Broad-winged because the ones we have where I live barely eat squirrels since they will waste a good amount of energy catching the squirrel. Also like I said earlier if you can remember what the tail looks like the next time you see it and it has a wide white stripe in between 2 black stripes on the tail it is probably a Broad-winged I do know its not a peregrine falcon though. I feed two of them daily :)

you do know that the chicken hawk is not a specific bird name? It is an unoffical name of three different hawks: the Cooper's Hawk, the Sharp-shinned Hawk and the Red-tailed Hawk It may seem like im coming off as an ass but I just wanted to clarify it in case it is on jeopardy one day!
