After you figure out what brake setting you are comfortable with have it finger trapped by your rigger . I would never cut brake lines because if you ever sell it the new owner might want a different setting . If you cut them and If the lines happen to shrink a little you have no excess length to work with .

I replace from the cascade down . I compensate any difference from the cascade up in the lower brake line unless the upper lines are not equal length and then I replace the upper lines too .

Blowers cramp ? Do you get it ?

It depends a lot on the wing loading as to how often you should re-line . I load most of my canopies at around 2.0 and after 200 jumps I can feel a difference . On a 1.0 to 1.3 loading you should be fine with a lineset for 4-500 jumps . I would not go much longer than that . I would do brake lines a little sooner like in the 250 to 400 jump range .

I'm not saying that a relationship with a woman that skydives would solve all the relationship problems that exist . I just would not want a relationship with someone that does not . I am not trying to dictate how anyone should live their life . I am just stating what works for me . I have had more than one relationship where skydiving was a huge issue , four to be exact . The four relationships that I mentioned all were for more than a year and they all came down to the skydiving problem in the end . At least I only was engaged one time and got out of the others before it went that far . Call me selfish or stubborn but I am not willing to change this part of my life in the least bit .

Skydekker , I don't expect to push my life on any one , but it works for me . For a long time I thought I was not happy with my life because I was not married and did not have kids . I was not happy because the woman I was going to marry was telling me I had to give up everything I enjoyed doing to be with her . She had me by the balls big time and I was not liking it at all . I loved her but knew it only would get worse as I saw how beaten down my soon to be brothers in law's were . I told her she needed to meet me in the middle on what I enjoyed doing . She said it was her way or the highway so I dumped her . She hated skydiving , skydivers , base jumping , all my friends and everything I enjoyed . I have watched many friends go down the road I was started down .They are shells of the men they used to be .They live in misery and with misery . They have no enjoyment in life at all and exist only to pay the bills . A few friends have talked to their wives about making changes but were cut down . If they divorce they will lose everything they have worked for . I am very happy with my girlfriend that I live with now . She has no problem with me leaving for as long as I feel like leaving for . We do not control each other in any way . She is a skydiver and base jumper too and she feels the same way about controlling relationships . I hope it works out great for you Skydekker and that you have a great marriage and that the skydiving issue doesn't get worse for you .

I did fill out the profile but it must have got screwed up . I have just tried to fix it and all it would do is let me put my name in . I think there were some major site problems here when I signed up here . If I can find a way to fix it I will .

No my life has not been dictated to me . I do what I want , when I want to do it with whoever I decide to do it with . If I feel like pissing away money I don't have to answer to anyone . I don't take shit from anyone when I come home three days late . I have a girlfriend that lives with me and her only comment when I leave is " I'll see you when you get home " . I do not let my judgment become clouded by " love " . I hope it works out for you but I have seen so many of my friends living a compromised life that is being dictated to them by their spouse .

Flashing a female pilot might even get you laid if she likes what she sees .

I love the movie "Heat" I have watched it three times in the last two weeks .

I re-line my mains with spectra lines every 3-400 jumps max . I reline my velocity every 250-300 jumps . I change out brake lines at 200 jumps without fail . I never seem to have any off heading problems at all .

I have been down the whuffo relationship road before and it leaves me with one comment , don't waste your time . They think they will make you change your mind and in most cases it works . I for one refuse to have my life dictated to me .
