    I use a marker that wipes off for marking on canopy fabric . I tend to use a non-toxic marker for marking lines .

    I agree that you should not be jumping while drunk or high , but it still aint cool to rat someone out to the cops . If you have a problem with what is going on at the dz talk to the owner not the cops . If you don't like how they handle it jump somewhere else .

    Once you have the main in the bag and all the lines stowed and the bag in the container , kneel or sit on it to force more air out before closing . After kneeling or sitting out it close it quickly before it has a chance to expand .

    As robin Williams would say " reality , what a concept " . I think everyone feels the pressure of society to conform to this standard or that standard . Live outside your means and be positive even if you are not happy . My philosophy , live cheap , buy what I want , go where I want , do what I want . Life is too short as it is and why should I do some thing just because it is what you are supposed to do . Enjoy life and do the things that you want to do . Stop letting society tell you what success is and stop feeling guilty when you don't live up to societies expectations . My grandfather worked his whole life to have security in his old age . He died two months after retiring . He had a list of things he had plans of doing in retirement but it was cut a wee bit short . My brother and I both have a copy of the list and we are doing it for him . I would rather live my life now and have good memories of the fun I had for the time in life when my health goes to shit .

    I agree with TomAiello and his comments on using retired reserves as base canopies . It is a bad idea . If you are going to do base jumping use base specific gear .

    I jump a pd reserve . They are the best built reserves on the market . I have not seen a pd reserve blow apart on opening but I have seen and heard of others blowing up . The only downside to a pd reserve is that they pack larger and cost a little more . I have had a few reserve rides in the past with the reserve loaded at up to 1.5 without incidence on pd reserves . Right now I am loading at about 1.3 on a pd reserve . I chose the pd reserve because in my opinion they are the best there are . I have test jumped most of the reserves out there and the pd by far had the best landings of all of them . Just my opinion on reserves .
