  1. Certain factions of Islam has vowed to kill Americans. Throwing fuel on a fire has never helped to put out the flame. It is quite simple, he knew that his action would cause a rippling effect across certain areas in the world, and he did it with no concern for the safety of others. Again, you're defending the message "Give up your freedom or we will kill you." What's next, "Force your women to wear Burqua's or we will kill you?" "Stone your daughters if they sleep with a man or we will kill you?" Sorry, how about fuck you Omar, we'll do what we want and if you harm one American for it we'll incinerate you. That's got a much better ring to it.
  2. enjoy I always wonder why students at MIT, who are supposed to be the top tier mathematicians on the planet, every year fail to realize that their 11' tall Uhaul will not fit under a 9' tall bridge on Memorial drive until they are 10 feet past the bridge and the top of their Uhaul is 3 feet behind it. Other than that t was an interesting video. But I think it only works during good times when there are lots of employers looking to hire you and you can pick and choose between the best. When times are tough and you can't get another job, then mastery and purpose go out the window and pure survival instincts take over.
  3. Yes and they were assholes, but that's legal to do in this country and certainly no one rioted and killed over it. Furthermore if anyone did riot and kill over it, you wouldn't defend them I don't like it when someone burns a flag, but I don't have the right to cut their head off over it. Nor should I. I would say that yes our fundies have the legal right... but in THEIR sandbox.... THEIR fundies its also a religious duty and a legal right to do exactly as they are doing. Exactly. There is a big difference between US and THEM. ***OK, I had to read that a couple of times to understand that fundies meant fundamentals, but once I figured it out the rest of the post made sense. Can you post a glossary in your profile.
  4. I hate how greedy corporations exploit the worker with tools like salaries, bonuses, benefits and JOBS. Let's get rid of them and make everyone work for the state. Uh its headed to a stateless world where the corporations are the ONLY power.... RollerBall anyone??? Umm Obamacare is stateless??? Looks like more state involvemnet in my life not less. A lot more. I'll take Rollerball over 1984 any day of the week. Atleast I have a chance then.
  5. I'm no liberal feminist defender by any means but shut the fuck up, seriously. There is never any excuse for violence against women, ever. Not even in self defense? Punching a woman who you disagree with is not self defense. Any guy who does it is human waste. Even joking about is wrong. It sure as hell isn't funny. If someone is going to kill you, there are no rules. Other than that, it's always wrong.

  9. If an Islamic Mullah claims that everyone who reads "A Catcher in the Rye" is an Infidel and he will kill American troops if it isn't burned, should we ban that book and is it the fault of all the readers if he follows through with his threat?
  10. You don't think you would have come out of that one that easy. Even though no one has been murdered for saying it, even that Prof. Churchlll who called all of the 9/11 victims "Little Eichmans". He seems to be alive and kicking and still running his mouth off. The Iraq war is a war. A little different between a riot in NYC where we behead cabbies because they might be Muslims. I don't expect you to understand nuances though. No, the problem is that there is an Us and Them, and that the liberals among Us with their theories of cultural relativity, want Us to believe that our culture is not different or exceptional. It is. Obama is one pf the greatest perpetrator of this lie. You no doubt voted for him.
  11. Probably for a long time. No one would kill you for saying that much less start a riot and kill multiple people based on their nationality and race. You might get your ass kicked at worse. Hell, we saw videos of Muslims celebrating in the street after 9/11 and I don't recall an organized group of Americans burning mosques and slaughtering Muslims. Stop trying to compare us to them. There is no comparison.
  12. If you were to ask the assholes that murdered Matthew Shepard what political party they identify with, odds are 100% it would be Republican. The glorification of ignorance has been a hallmark of the Republicans since the 1970s. This ties in to the ignorance of the far right wing nutters. Demeaning the "elitist" intellectuals and marketing the concept that "liberals" are evil has been quite successful. Ignorance makes the masses easier to control so that they don't question the crap fed them by the corporate owned media and end up voting against their own best interests. The USA will be a former world power, surviving on the crumbs of the Indian and Chinese economies, by 2050. The extremely wealthy will be just fine. The average citizen will not. And the average citizen will have voted for those politicians that are owned, lock stock and barrel, by the extremely wealthy. Those politicians will continue to implement policies that ruin the opportunities for average citizens. Good work, sheeple... If you were to poll everyone on death row I'm sure you would get close to 100% of them vote democrat. See, I can pull numbers out of my ass just as fast as you, comrade.
  13. Yes, i am another neophyte American redneck, you've got me covered there. Edit: Why do they never seem to do those interviews up here in MA. They always do them in Assfuck Alabama. The problem with asking questions like that in Harvard Sq is that you will not only get the right answers, you might learn something too. Ohhh, but that might ruin your small vision of America won't it, better just stay ignorant and stay in Europe.
  14. "We'll make a big fucking crater out of the Middle East!" Hahaha. And we can too. It's amazing that a country as stupid as the US is 10 times more powerful than Switzerland and the UK combined. And we're only 234 years old. We must have the smartest idiots in the world here.
  15. Right, because republicans murder gays. How about finding some class.
  16. Are you down? My favorite is Cuvee Des Jacobins Rouge from Belgium. I really enjoy almost all sour beers I've ever had though, and I'm excited that American brewers are starting to brew a variety of sour/funky beer over here.
  17. Stranahans Colorado Whiskey. The distiller prints the music he was listening to on each label. They rock and their whiskey does too.

    Stouts

MMMmmmm. SOoo boozy. Sooo good. My favorite is Berkshire Brewing Company Russian Imperial Stout on a nitrogen line. The nitro gives it the creamy perfection. Also big fan of Pretty Things Babbayaga because it's so weird. Troubadour Obscura is my favorite Belgian stout. O'Hara's is the best Irish Stout.
  20. Wachusett Larry. I'm not a huge IPA fan, but Larry is my friend and he got me a job at the bar I work at so...
  21. Sound like a lot to me! Good story. I had a bartender at the place I work put a sign-up sheet for skydiving. I signed up. It ended up being me, him, one of the cooks and the girl who drew the pictures on our chalk boards. As soon as i landed my tandem I thought, "where have you been all my life?"
  22. As a Brit in the US this sort of thing annoys me. Go back and you won't have to worry about it.
