  1. Update- I'm signed up for my first AFF class now. Yikes! :D Awesome! I can't wait to see the cartoon for your FJC and A jump.
  2. It was pioneers in the old days that had to jump with the door off, if they hadnt the sport might not be where its at today. So please show some respect and thank them that you are allowed to skydive. An open door is not a major issue And the pioneers jumped with B-4 containers and chest mount reserves. They had to, it was not by choice. Taking with the door open can be a big deal. Operating with the door off/open changes the allowable VNE speeds as well as maneuvering speed. Placards must be in place to indicate what these speeds are. It can affect the aircrafts ability to reach V2 and V2min. causing a safety concern on shorter runways. To take off with the door open is just not the smart thing to do. Sparky At least you’re consistent. you are missing the point entirely.... skydiving is not a safe sport. if you want something safe to do take up golfing or ping pong! Funny in your profile it says you have a Cypres 2, Why?
  3. When you're old and looking back on life, are you going to say "Thank God I quit skydiving" ? Of course not! Get better and get back on that horse. You've already gotten past so much. This is just another obstacle to overcome.
  4. I'm thinking about doing door to door sales. I sell gas fireplaces and inserts. I think it's a niche that may work with d2d sales. Plus I live in New England and there are a boatload of fireplaces that need converting.
  5. That's what I call counter steering.
  6. Come by the Publick House on 1648 Beacon St in Brookline. It's on the Washington Sq stop on the C line (green line). It's the best beer bar in Boston. I work the door on Sat so say hi.
  7. I haven't been to a big one since The Clifford Ball in 96' I sort of grew out of them for a decade or so, Then I saw them at Fenway Park in 09' and had a great time. Never bumped into so many old friends in one spot before. Id love to see them again but I'd rather spend my money getting my A license.
  8. Ha, tell me about it. Better late than never though.
  9. If you're the one going in, does it really matter? BTW If I want a pic on facebook, I'll hire a camera guy to take it for me. Or I'll trade him something of value. Like a lot of beer.
  10. No more jumps, hopefully this weekend, just did a refresher Friday, can't wait BTW I'm on page 39 of the "scary stories from the old days" thread. You're one hell of a writer! I'm loving your stories.
  11. ROTFLMAO! Your kid is hilarious. That answer is so much better than anything I could come up with.
  12. I work in a bar one night a week that caters to city #2 and #3. Some nights, I expect people to try to talk to me in Klingon. I'm never afraid of violence breaking out there, but I am afraid of them giving me a computer virus.
  13. On second thought, Fuck it. I'm here to learn about skydiving. I'll come back to SC when I have way more jumps under my belt.
  14. See Rush? This is the kind of fucknut bullshit I was talking about. Obama "allowing" it to go on? You think these people will be happy with any kind of birth certificate? You must have been born yesterday Yes, the truth is painful. Your reply is proof of that. Ha ha, Mr "No Name Entered". Why should anyone trust anything you write? There, is that better. Now, that you know who I am, how do you explain the fact that Obama's social security # was stolen from a dead man? The funny thing about this is, I realized Obama was full of shit when he campaigned on closing down GITMO, long before I ever heard of this SS# theft. Now I still think he is full of shit, and I love how leftists like yourself carry his water. Hell, I bet you think Slick Willy never shoved a cigar up Monica Lewinsky either. Just more of the vast right wing conspiracy.
  15. Why? My job does not require proof of citizenship. Nope. I believe everyone other than the hard left Marxists of this country (some of which are posting in this thread) hates being lied to by their Commander in Chief. Hell, look at what happen to Bush and he thought he was telling the truth.
  16. What state did you live in when you were issued that social security number? Obama never lived in Connecticut prior to 1980. It does not happen. Furthermore, ss #'s are never reissued. I'm assuming no one ever had your SS # other than you.
  17. See Rush? This is the kind of fucknut bullshit I was talking about. Obama "allowing" it to go on? You think these people will be happy with any kind of birth certificate? You must have been born yesterday Yes, the truth is painful. Your reply is proof of that.
  18. Yes, we both stole Social Security #'s and neither of us are American citizens. Fortunately, I have proof that will show that I am lying about myself not being an American Citizen, Obama does not. Now let's move forward with impeachment.
  19. If Barry Soetoro, or Obama, or whatver his name is, is an American citizen, why did he have to steal his social security number to use on his Selective Service application in the 1980? I mean, if it's so obvious that he was born in Hawaii, why does he have a Connecticut Social Security #? And why is it the SS# of a Connecticut man who died in 1978. 042-68-4425 How do Obama and Thomas Woods of Newington CT have the same SS#? I guess I'm a rightwing nutjob for not blindly believing what you leftwing nutjobs are telling me. Might as well just ignore it.
  20. I just had a Rodenbach Grand Cru and an Allagash Vrienden last night. Both were killer. Allagash just created a Coolship (sp?) room where they leave the wort in an open tub, (about 12'x20' and 2' deep. They leave the windows open in the room and allow the wild Maine yeast to ferment it. It makes for some killer natural tasting beers. Can't wait for them to experiment more. I also had the Port Older Viscosity. Although not sour, it's a delicious bourbon barrel style quad. Can't wait to get out to the West Coast some day because the beers out there are all great, and a lot of them never make it to Boston.
