Did you hear about this guy killing himself in a chatroom?
Slink2 replied to kevin922's topic in The Bonfire
Darwin at work does that include hook turn assholes? and pond swoopers? -
Yeah my brother has one and his pop top reserve was like 1/2 inch above the container. I told him get that shit looked at now! If micro lines can snag a tiny grommet unseated what the f^*CK are you in for?

Thanks Dave!

Do a search? you have topics 3 days old here that get repeated! Opinions may have changed since it was Flite (whatever) to Bomber.

I just watched Real TV (I know that show sucks) which featured a CSS Casa in Ohio. Too many jumpers on the tailgate (no more than 18 buckeyes on the gate at one time) and the plane stalled. The pilot recovered and all was well. Looked like some Quincy loading footage inserted there unless the Grey Casa (you know the one)has the new blue Fayard paint job on the rear door. Anyone there when this happened?

I just happened to get in last night and I'm home by chance. Most of the time I don't know what day of the week it is, and don't need to. No assh#$le boss either!

Ahhhh, if only the hammer and sickle would return! We were much safer then.

Anyone out there jumping the reflex and are you doing the catapult thing? I'm sure the catapult topic has been covered before...pros and cons. -The Reflex leaves you answered with a question mark.

I bought a starter kit a few months ago but haven't got around to it yet. My wife beat me to it and used the pale in the kit to marinate the Thanksgiving turkey...so I probably need a new pale.

It's not so small now, the metropolis I live in now boasts 900! 160 miles to Ottawa, 198 miles to Hinckley where I went through AFF. Quite a kick in the ass when I grew up 20 miles from the Blue Sky Ranch in Gardiner, NY in the Hudson Valley! Well before I knew anything about skydiving...If only I could go back in time! and start ten years ago!

Its a NJ Transit wind tunnel.

I worked in Enid, (Not USAF but BNSF). Too many tornadoes and no one has a basement! Used to drive down to OK City to eat at Joes Crab Shack.OK City is decent. I didn't jump then but from what I understand its a Cessna jumping state. What gives there? Minus the special events.

I got it, never mind!

I don't understand. What your a chronic hop and popper?

We jump out of planes! I'm more afraid of horseshoes and malfunctions! F@cK the #$@@%s!

I agree, perhaps politics should be banned on this site. You would think that people would notice that this is a international forum, respect other skydivers' countries as they all have individual opinions and can't be held accountable for their government's actions just as I have no say over what America does. (all that freedom voting bullshit aside). I'm not a liberal and my solution to fighting terrorism would probably get me banned from this site but I'll keep that to myself. Have respect for other skydivers and their homeland!

Yes, but you have got to love those French trains! (SNCF). They kick ass! Of course, that's another subject.

Hey Lenny, I looked at your profile and I see your from Troy, WI. I believe I made two AFF jumps (Level 8-9) with an AFF instructor from your dz at Quincy 2001. A Mary G?...Can't read the signature. License D9749. I think she said something about being a school teacher...know her? Quote

I recently watched the Guy Manos movie "Cut Away" and I'm wondering if there are actual speed star teams out there. (Anyone know if Tom Berenger and Stephen Baldwin continued jumping after completion of the movie?).

I have noticed that on my new main Tri 210 on deployment the slider sometimes does not come all the way down against the stops. Sometimes I cant reach it to collapse it. Is this reason for concern? I'm waiting for the jump where it stops half way down. The chute has a long snivel on opening. I find my self pushing the risers together on opening to try to get it down faster. Its new with only 11 jumps on it. I haven't packed it yet myself so I so I don't know if the nose is being rolled too much. just a new chute or what? Thanks guys.

Is this something that is more dangerous with a smaller or high performance canopy vs a more docile conopy? and if in doubt while doing the canopy check should one just cutaway and go for the reserve. I would hate to get to an altitude too low only to find im in trouble and a reserve won't help now.

It worked thanks!
