  1. Well, here in Slovenia, we used to jump a lot from the Turbo Let L-410 (the nr. depends on the type of the aircraft, some are made specially for skydiving purposes), and we allways flew with 20-22 jumpers per load. It's very comfortable, fast climbing (if an experienced crew is operating it), cool looking. Here's a link of the provider from whom we rent it: www.falconair.cz (I hope you understand Chech (I REALY hope I got that right) language)). If you want to jump it on the new years holiday, come to Vrsar, Croatia, where the FalconAir turbo let will be situated for the winter. A nice DZ by the see, great food, awesome parties.... I hope this will help you! RiGHT oN!!!! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  2. Hi, there. I'm not new to the sport, but I am new to the video editing of our jumps. First of all, I have a lot of our jumps saved on my computer (Athlon 1.8, 384 DDR, GeForce 4 MMX)in .avi format, captured from a DV camera. I am using Adobe Premiere 6.5 for editing (I still learn it every night from 22:00 to 02:00, the progress I make is measured in nanometers ) and capturing pics. And when I capture a pic, it get's all blury. PLEASE, FILL ME IN IN HOW ALL OF YOU MASTERS OF THE SKY-FRAMES DO THIS!!! I've read some of the posts describing the same problems as I have, but just don't understand them. 3. Guys, me and a friend of mine were doing HD jumps last weekend, and the breathing thing made it a bit better: we allready know how to jump out a flower (I could say it's perfect), we can fly it for 3 or some seconds, and then it gets unstable. I guess we would have made it if we also concentrated on the breathing during the jump, not only on the exit. Well, anyway, RiGHT oN! 4. Congrats man!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!! P.S. I'm glad you we're jumping today, FURIUS 'cause I still work (here in Slovenia it's 18:43!!!!) and will be till 9pm. DAMN!!!! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  5. Yeag George, your definetely have the coolest rig in Slovenia (that is, if you'll actually going to buy the custom made mirage g4)!!! As it was said before, the most important thing to consider when buying a rig is, is it safe, have any weird mailfunctions occured on them, do flaps stay closed or not, and does it fit you (that comes into consideration only when you're buying a used rig). I for instance bought a used Atom ('94), with an Ace 100 ('98) and a Tempo 120 ('99) mainly because of the need for a freefly friendly rig, and it also fitted me perfectly. Needles to say I LOVE IT!!!!!!! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  6. I know it's not related to your post, but in a way it is. 2 years ago, when I was still jumping on an old Raider 220 (my first canopy - I LUVD iT!!!), I got so fixated into making a 90° right turn with my toggles prior to landing, that even when i realized that I was to low to land it gently, I went on and made the whole 90°. Thank god nothing happened to me, but I made a 3 meters long canal in, ehmm, I don't know how it's called: the round thingy on most of the DZ's where the accuracy jumpers land, as I swooped on my chest and stomach!!! kinda weird

I don't give a shit about polytics.. But I don't understand how a president of such a fine country like USA waves to a fine american [crazyartist who happems to be blind, and hopes he will wave back!!! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  8. Just as it was said before: to go forward lean back, push your hips in (I call this motion the FUCK IN position, hehe, kinky me, just like in sex, FUCK IN and FUCK OUT ), to go faster, ease your hands, to go more faster push your feet forward a bit. To stop, I usually lean very much forward, stop some 1 or 2 meters away from the base, and then slowly move to it. Or when I'm jumping with my teammate, we usually stop at the last moment before our toes touch. RiGHT oN! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  9. Screaming at their faces will not improve the situation. Calmly explaining the errors, and ways to prevent them, would be a much more costructive approach. Well, that's exactly why I posted the thread. The girl made a mistake, she learned from it a lot, but she learned NOTHING from the cameraflyer-instructor (but to yell on everyone who will ever make a mistake on her), from whom she should leartn the most! Why she was exactly under the cameraflyer as she deployed - no one will ever know. Another cameraflyer on the championships was also filming a team with jumps ranging from 80 - 120. They to got thrown apart and were everywhere in the sky, but this cameraman didn't do the same mistake - he went up (way up) to see them all (he had them all in the frame, little dots that were) and even deployed a bit higher to avoid a impact. That's why I think that it is the cameramans fault. He should known better. Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  10. >The 1st incident is in my opinion fault of the cameraman. Absolutely not. The job of the cameraflyer is to film the 4-way doing their stuff. If some of the jumpers on the team aren't in the formation, their job is to get to the formation, and if they can't, at least find out where the formation is, and not deploy under the cameraman! You're right. But he was in a kind their instructor, therefor he should be aware of where the whole team is. Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  11. This weekend was held the Slovenian national championship in FS 4-way and 8-way. The winners were Hudièki from Andromeda Skydiving in national 4 and 8 way competition; in open 4-way team AK Zagreb 1, in open 8-way team Bridgestone Birdman. But that's not what I wanted to share with all of you. On Friday the 13th (what a good day for skydiving) happened two incidents, which could easyly ended a lot worse then they did. 1. under canopy collision: the 4-way jumped out the airplane, the exit didn't go off as planed, only 2 team members got together, the other 2 were somewhere in the sky. The 2-way was filmed by a camerman that was more experienced then all the others together. At deployment altitude the 2 braked away, the cameraman opened his parachute looked at it, and as he looked down, he flew throu the parachute of a girl with 120+ jumps that wasn't in the 2-way. She was fine, the cameraman got hurt on his face and legs, his suit burned. He could continue jumping. 2. On an other jump of the team the same girl couldn't open her main, AAD opened the round reserve at the same time as she managed to open her main (RAVEN II). Both canopies opened, but the main wasnt' flying allright (it spinned, pumped...). She landed and is OK, jumped again on Sunday. The 1st incident is in my opinion fault of the cameraman. He, as the most experienced jumper in the team, should know where everyone is, not only the 2 who he could film and make great footage of. After the jump he got very mad at the girl, almost screamed at her. The poor thing got more scared then she was during the collision. 12. Man, don't get this wrong, but I envy you (if that's the word in English for being jealous in a positive way)!!!!!! Have fun, fly safe!!!!!!!!!! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  13. Here in Slovenia, Static Line training was made on round canopies all the way till 1996. The canopies were PS or PD from Kluz (those of you legends who were to the world meet in the 80's in Yugoslavia must remember them). In Zagreb, Croatia, the training is still made with them (I'm not sure about that, I was told by some guys from Croatia). And every year we still have a Veteran Jumper Weekend where you can see these canopies in the air again. I consider myself very lucky for not jumping any round canopy, hehe... I was the 2nd generation of newbies here in Maribor who started jumping with a SkyMaster from PISA. But I had a reserve ride on the K1 system from Kluz. The reserve was round, and there was no 3-ring, but a system where the two risers were separately connected to the rig. When I landed, I got unconsious for a while from the impact. The wind carried me exactly over a village, I saw myself in the power lines, in the forrest, even on the tower of the church. But eventually I landed in a backyard some 8 x 12 meters. LUCKY ME!!!!!!! Grrrr.....

It must be great to have non-whuffo parents. But then again, non-whuffo parents know _everything_ about skydiving culture and know EXACTLY what you are up to, ALL the time! I allways say them: Don't PANIC!!!!! Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org

    Grrrr.....

Well, mrs. skybytch I can understand you 100°%. But on the other hand, I am 21 years old (just a month away from my 22nd birthday), I jump, and live at my parents and have to pay them 20.000 Slovenian tolars (around 86$) a month for expenses. And right now, I owe them 60.000 Slovenian tolars for July, August, and September. I spent all my money on skydiving. And that's why I can understand your son too. Thank god my parents understand my addiction with skydiving (my father made 8 jumps in the 70's with those round canopies) and don't panic about the money, cause they know they'll get it eventualy (I promissed I'll give it them next week). 16. just wondering how much $250 is worth in slovenia??? i know the ecnomy might be a little diffrent there and am just wondering... At that time 250$ would equal around 70.000 Slovenian Tolars (yes, tolars, not dollars), less or more. One would make maybe 18 jumps from 4.000m for it. Todaj, 1$ = 237 SiT, a jump from 4.000m costs 16$. Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
  17. My first car was a well known Yugo 45 from Zastava, the only car manufacturer in late Yugoslavia. Here in Slovenia, there are still a lot of these cars on the roads today. It was made in 1990, my parents bought it for me in 2000, and it had only 42000km. It costed incredible 250$ at that time. I loved it!!! It was slow
  18. Yes, I forgot... STUPID ME! Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're working for AtAir. Is it true that the ACE was sold in the states as the VIPER? I don't know about jumping in BLED, but there will be held a boogie from PC-6 (Pilatus Porter) in Bovec, Soèa Valley, surrounded with 2500m high mountain peaks. I'll send you the dates when they will be set. PeRFeCT spEEd Is BeiNG ThErE!!! Gravity is my Medicine!
