  1. 8; 11; 0 $8 left of the $1000 I put on my account like less than 3 weeks ago. Damn I've been jumpin a lot! 11 cool fun ass jumps. Including jumps with Syzergy's Bobby P, Shane and Elmo. They put on a super cool freefly coaching/organizing day on Saturday. Some tandem vids, some freefly, LOTS of hop n pops and CRW. I had a great weekend.
  2. girlie!!!!!! Damnit sistah! That stinks. You have been doing so awesome!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr........ Okay... drink heavily... and get back in the air ASAP. Love yah Ohio chick! Sorry for the bad luck. COME VISIT US DOWN HERE AT ORANGE DAMNIT!!!
  3. Wow, someone refers to Dave as their baby. Odd.
  4. Same here. I had to check it out after one of my coworkers said.... "It was on the news that someone was in freefall for 9 hours! Is that possible???" I love it when they get things all screwed up.
  5. Oh, without a doubt you are right. It definitely needs an adjustment. It's just that I haven't had the time to send it in for that. Well, okay... maybe I'm a bit lazy about it too. I don't think there is anything wrong with two peices. The only thing is personal preference.
  6. Simple... it's not a 5-7 minute video. If you build yourself templates, there is no point in redoing all the ground work (plane on the taxi way, windsock, welcome sign, etc). Obviously you shoot some to make it more personalized. I'm not a fan of big drawn out interviews. Unless of course you have a really funny student that can keep it interesting for more than a minute. So, you are very shot specific and you turn your camera off for the canopy ride, etc. Then, you are down to about 3 minutes of footage. Only takes 3 minutes to capture 3 minutes. There are exceptions to this rule. If you are following the tandem under canopy... obviously you need to capture that, etc. It's a matter of streamlining the process so you have a high quality video, cleanly edited, in the shortest amount of time.
  7. ***Raises Hand*** Terrified here. I got a horrible spider bite as a young kid that put me in the emergency room in panic mode. Even before that I remember being afraid of them, but now it's just stupid-irrational-out-of-control fear. I couldn't get through the opening credits of Arachnophobia the movie. And even that gave me nightmares for two weeks.

    Dave todak

Yeah. It's not the coolest thing to do. Hits too close to home.
  9. I think you are just sloooooooooooooooow. I disagree with your comments on Premiere. I've been using it to edit tandem videos for a few years now. Capture - 3 minutes. Edit - 2 minutes. Render - 2 minutes. And that's TOPS. Plus, I think the quality that I've seen (in general!) is much better than linear. Plus.... you have a lot more creative control. But hey.... an opinion is an opinion, right?
  10. That sounds like a really good feature. I wear my jacket very rarely because it comes out in the back. I usually wear just pants and a long sleeve T... which is nice on a hot day. But next time I order... definitely one peice.
  11. Ticket bought. Can't wait. Was so much freakin fun last year. TJ is still the best coach I've jumped with yet.
  12. ; 12; deny, deny, deny Dave Brown was in the house this weekend out at Orange. What a cooooooooooool guy. Great coaching and organizing!!! Made my 800th yesterday. Dave Brown led a full-on-mad HD Flock dive for me. We didn't get full alti on that one and ended up landing about 3 miles from the dz, in grass up to my eyeballs, behind two fences, one of which was barbed wire. I don't think I'll forget that jump anytime soon. Other than that....... tandem videos and freeflys. Great weekend. THANKS DAVE!!!!
  13. NSFW glad my boss wasn't behind me.
  14. PIG FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha! How YOU doin???? Hope I can make it to WFFC for the toga party. Up in the air right now. Either way... good to see you surface.
  15. Funny you should say that. I'm on FlyI.com right now booking a ticket. A little birdie told me that June 24-26 is going to be a kickass party with TJ organizing. Keep your fingers crossed that I find a cheap flight.
  16. I love you, Frenchy!!! There is a way to reset the entire thing. You have to hold down the Menu button and the Select button together for about 6 seconds. Weird. I guess it's so common that they had a little movie on their website about how to fix it. Guess I should have looked their first.
  17. Was working fine.... turned it off... next time I went to use it, it wouldn't turn on. Grrrrrrrrrr. Anyone experience this? Am I missing something obvious???
  18. Nice suit. Looks good. Even on you!
  19. 1 Starry Eyed Surprise - Paul Oakenfold 2 Where's Your Head At - Basement Jaxx 3 Magic Stick - Lil' Kim 4 Swan Dive - P.E. 5 Bodies - Drowning Pool 6 Punk Rock Girl - The Dead Milkmen 7 The Middle - Jimmy Eat World 8 Calling All Angels - Train 9 Bleach Boys - The Dead Milkmen 10 Dance With Me - The Dead Milkmen
  20. I guess I can see both sides. You're right in that it is already a more dangerous place to jump. However, should they keep ignoring people with 30 jumps padding their logbooks and jumping there? How should they address that? If it was acceptable for people with 30 jumps to jump there, then maybe logbooks wouldn't get padded, and they could jump there in a more safe fashion than they had before. How about requiring a stamp in their log book from their S&TA proving they have the jumps? I don't have jumps signed on a regular basis... so I used to have my S&TA stamp and sign a printed manifest ledger when I went to boogies. Rather than accepting it and allowing it, why don't they just enforce the rules? 30 jumps is NOT enough experience to be jumping at WFFC. And I'm confused as to how the coach should take responsibility for another canopy pilot, ensuring they land appropriately next to them??
  21. Please don't shoot me for saying this... but aren't there already enough safety issues at WFFC??? I love the convention. It's a great party... a great place to meet up with old friends... but it is not the safest place to jump. You are already dealing with a lot of people traveling in from cesna dzs, who have never been in the air with more than 3 or 4 other canopies. There are multiple jump runs, people opening all over the place, etc. You really have to be heads up jumping there. Now the jump numbers will be lowered? Sounds pretty sketchy to me. Sorry.
  22. Darn!!! I bet you guys had a rockin time!! Sounds like soooooo much fun! Paige and I were thinkin about you guys a lot. Bad planning! Oh, well.
