  1. Thats a very important point. Dont underestimate this. Fro maximum effect, work topless. You guys are funny. Actually, not only can I not work topless, but with this new job I have to wear a suit everyday!!!!!! Darn serious business freaks! It's cool though, cuz one of my coworkers has a son with about 8000 skydives, who is fulltime in the sport. And he's made a couple of tandems himself. He's all excited that there is a jumper working in the office now.
  2. Wow! That's awsome. You rock. All good ideas. I'm starting a shopping list... one bubbly thingy, couple of lamps, ...
  3. Thanks! But I'm not totally convinced I have it right. Maybe once I get some better lighting in here and something on these darn walls, I'll feel better. I'm going to take a picture of a window and blow it up into a poster or something so I can pretend to stare at the sky all day!!
  4. Hey. I just started a new job this week and I have a pretty decent sized office. Problem is, it has no windows, the walls are really really white!, the lights are very electic, and I feel like my brain is frying by the second. I want to move the furniture around and bring in some normal lighting and wall stuff, but I want to do it all Feng Shui style. Does anyone know how to do this? Attached is the layout of my office. Any suggestions would be sooooooooooo appreciated. I read something about angle of desk to door and walls infront/behind you. Help!! Thanks!
  5. Cool! Yeah.... had to sell it. Just felt guilty every time I looked at it as I walked out the door with a rig on my shoulder. Addie and I are in Arlington. We should go sometime! Or at least grab a beer! B... have fun in the tunnel!! Paige and Ari rock! Had such a good time down there with them!
  6. Dang. That sounds fun. I used to Kayak a lot till I started skydiving. Then I sold my kayak after it sat around weekend after weekend.
  7. Aw, Amy that SUCKS!!!! Lots of love and hugs girl! Heal quick!
  8. 13; 1 13 jumps! Competed in the VPC 4Way competition. The beer is for my first skydiving award. We came in 3rd and I got a medal. Nice to know I can still fly on my belly! What fun! Belly flying rocks!
  9. My 800th. Dave Brown led a flocking dive.
  10. Milton Waddams: [talking on the phone] And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...
  11. No no no no no....... the correct answer would be.... "Transfer all money to Liz's account and leave no evidence behind."
  12. I love quotes from that movie. And today, I feel like I'm meeting with the Bobs. I reached that burned out, screw it point. And I'm loving it. My employees are walking around wondering what the heck is wrong with me.
  13. Have you had your meeting with Bobs yet? Bob Slydell: You see, what we're trying to do is get a feeling for how people spend their time at work so if you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you? Peter Gibbons: Yeah. Bob Slydell: Great. Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh - after that I sorta space out for an hour. Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out? Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
  14. Orange ROCKS!!! Okay, I'm a little less biased because I did not grow up at Orange... I grew up at Tecumseh, in Michigan. When people found out I was moving to DC, they said "Go to Orange!" I was told I would feel at home because they have an otter and a ton of awsome freefly talent. They were right! I went to Orange first and still have not wanted to leave to check out the other dzs in the area. It's a very friendly place, and a hard place to make a solo. They welcome new people and go out of their way to make them feel at home. Their are plenty of belly flyers and great swoopers. Nice big hangar, great airplane, fantastic parties, and an unbeatable vibe. Come play with us!! And make sure you say hi!! Here are a few pictures from one of my first weekends out there. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Personal_Galleries/weegegirl/Skydive_Orange I need to update that because SOOOO much cool stuff has happened since!!!!

  19. Wow. Trying to get in touch with my family over there, which is apparently rather difficult at the moment. I lived in London for about a year and have a lot of close friends there. This is devistating and I'm praying for everyone who has been touched by this.
