I thought I had my new laptop all picked out... I'm finally making the switch to mac... until I got to work today and someone started talking to me about the Leopard. So you think it's worth it? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

Who knows if it's true, but it gives me comfort to think that they are all together somewhere. Maybe that sunset is their eternal bonfire at the dz up above. I bet they all got a big smile and welcomed Tonto with massive hugs.

This is incredibly sad and hard to believe. t and I never got to meet in person, although I went from owing him a beer when we finally met to a keg. He's the reason I'm jumping right now. After my good friend Mike went in last year I was having a really hard time getting back in the air. He gave me the understanding and support that I so desperately needed. We were strangers then. This man was a saint. Looking back at the pages and pages of PMs we exchanged, several things stand out. Things he said that gave me some of the strength I needed to stand back up after losing Mike. I'm sure he would be telling you all the same right now if he could. "In the end, it's one foot in front of the other, and one day at a time that gets us through anything really hard." I've heard about the night diving with the manta rays! I would LOVE to do that! Just not sure I will have time. I am heading out a couple of days early so we'll see if I can pull it off.

Staying on Waikiki beach. I know this is the touristy, crowded area, but it's work, so I won't complain. Any of you live out there? Any suggestions? Is there a good dive shop that you would recommend? Or a dz nearby?

So you use yours for running and stuff? I want one that I can use for all the activities that i do... from running, to general fitness, hiking, boating, biking, etc. I've never owned one.

Which one do YOU use? What do you like/dislike about it? Are those bands that you wear around your chest really annoying for running?

just for snorkelling right now, but with such an expensive item and a kid who can't wait to go deep, might as well have him fitted for the good stuff now. i found out that the best option is getting lenses cut and bonded to the mask. somewhere between the small stick on lenses and the replacement lenses. someone will make a lot of money if they can figure out how to make a decent prescription mask. my dive buddy is next to blind too. i need to convince him to get some contact lenses so i don't feel like a seeing eye dog anymore!
