Thanks. My grrrlFriend and digital camera (Olympus C3030) get the credit. She is a photographer. She sometimes borrows my digital camera to get quick views of her picture ideas. She was photographing hands and a plant that day. I stuck my helmet under and snapped off the pictures, while she was out of the house. I used b&w because she did and it looked cool. She also did sepia. The camera, which was set up on a tripod, was hooked up to the television set. The flash was disabled and the remote was used to fire off the picture, whenever the picture look good on TV screen. I just used automatic mode. She had a couple photographer lamps one above the table and one below (the table is glass). The last picture only the light below the table was on. She said I needed to use a "diffuser flat" next time. I had no clue what she was talking about.

Thanks JayhawkJumper and Squeak. That was helpful. Since I haven't used the polarizer, I can return it. I was told a polarized lense would make the sky bluer and the clouds white, more contrast. Sometimes the most beautiful sunset loads look gray and washed out on video. What do you recommend? Or is this to be expected with video? I recently put a Sony PC1 on my helmet for memory enhancement and to show my whuffo grrrlFriend what I saw. It seems to work fine for me. I wanted to run it by you all, to see if there is anything noticeably wrong. I have been using a .43 mm wide angle lense (Kenko SGW-043), but the pictures show my new .5mm (Kenko KGW-05Hi) with a Hoya cir-polarizing filter, which I haven't tried out yet because of rain here. I have been using the camera with infinity focus (mountain symbol) and the steady-shot off (I was told with a wide angle lense steady-shot was not necessary and would degrade the image). This quote is from the CamEyeII manual: ***For helmets without ring sights use a 2,5mm^2 solid copper wire. The copper wire is stiff enough to stay in place during free fall but will bend in case a riser or a line gets caught during parachute deployment. Bend a small loop at one end of the wire and use the loop to attach the wire to the helmet with a screw. Cut the copper wire to the desired length. Next put the indicator cable together with the copper wire in the heat shrink tube and shirnk the tube with a lighter or other heat source.*** The 2,5mm has a little superscript 2, which I denoted with ^2. It doesn't correspond to a footnote. The 2,5 might be Euro for 2.5, but it might be some notation that I am not aware of for specifying wires. I left my indicator light secured only with gaffer tape, but wonder if it will be fatigued sooner without support. That is why I asked how others mounted the light. Hi. Did you use copper wire and shrink tubing to secure the indicator light (as the skytools' instructions recommend)?

I got a surprise Valentine's Day present from my grrrlFriend. Valentine's Day was a very busy day for tandems. I was a packing away when manifest told me "sheDevil" called. This is ominous, as my grrrlFriend doesn't normally call the DZ. My first thought is "uh oh, this can only be bad". But then Manifest gives me a sly smile and hands me a packet labelled "Happy Valentine's Day Erik, Love sheDevil". The packet contained lift tickets from my favorite whuffo. Ahhh, it almost brought tears to my eyes. I'm a lucky guy. Yeah, my gf's nickname is sheDevil, but she's really a sweetheart. Where are you? How long? I was just at sea. I sailed out of Honolulu, so after the cruise, I was able to jump at Skydive Hawaii and Pacific Skydiving Center. I was on the RV Kilo Moana, a research vessel. In June, I have a 21 day cruise on the same ship. "And the sky is blue and righteous in every direction" Survivor Chuck Palahniuk

Does anyone know taln in real life, 'cause I think she's an angel. ------------------ bwhaaaaaaa! yeah Dawn is an angel alright, but she was really naughty, so they took away her wings. Actually, her good deeds are endless. We were sad to see her move to Wyoming. As a packer she was considered an angel too. She took a lot of pride in her work and it showed. I laugh thinking of her closing a tight sigma. She'd straddle it like a mechanical bull and declare "I'm gonna ride my bitch". I've been donating. Every other friday, I do platelet apheresis. They take a double batch, so it counts as two donations. I am also in the national bone marrow registery. I hope your post prompts some jumpers to be donors. "And the sky is blue and righteous in every direction" Survivor Chuck Palahniuk

What Happened To The "Skydivers" Link?

I would use the keyword search. I'd enter the names of cities in my area to meet local jumpers. Erik "And the sky is blue and righteous in every direction" Survivor Chuck Palahniuk -
my pets are geckos- one Leopard and one crested. The crested gecko is sort of a basejumper, the Leopard is a total whuffo.
