I didn´t actually see it but searched it out after and found this: basejump eiger-monch-jungfrau in one day, all walking or under canopy. ueli making the first basejump off monch and jungfrau ever after beeing the first to basejump the eiger mushroom 5 years ago. what an alpin adventure over glacier... clickum Quite an accomplishment. take care, space

It sounds like to me that you had inertial bag strip. I only saw end cell damage due to inadequate stowage of lines. I am not saying this is so. but it smells like it to me. I´ve witnessed easily over 100.000 jumps just so ya know where I´m coming from.. How can a bad batch of material cause 2 unacceptably hard openings in 150 jumps? good material or bad material would still cover the same suface area and decelerate you the same. What did you change? or not change? stowage bands are a likely culprit. I am surprised that no-one else has mentioned this. take care, space

I was part of the team doing drop test with the Perigee. It was basically done to the German version of TSO-C23-D, with 135kg @ 200KNOTS with a FOX canopy. @ Rickjump1. If one learns rigging, a canopy swapout could easily be a 10mn task plus your safety is enhanced because you know and understand more about the equipment. take care, space

I am playing the devils advocate here. Maybe we should keep these underprivileged under priveleged. I mean with designer clothes they might get a job that would otherwise be out of reach and elevate them to privileged. Keep em in T-shirts, tennis shoes and worn out jeans. take care, space

Since you are a greenie in training I will give you some tips. Tip #1. Read not your opinion into what posters post. I asked a simple question and you accuse me of jumping on his back. I just could not logic my way thru this as I could as if standing on the the exit point logicing out fear to accept the consequences..I am very open and wish to understand his line of thinking, I could possibly learn something and become a better person. I was not out to diss anyone. I will quote me and ask how you got your suck ass opinion from my post. Base283 asked: “I don´t follow you. can you please explain how NON-JUMPER money would be better?”. So…. Explain your suckass opinion greenie in training. I am very open and wish to understand your line of thinking, I could possibly learn something and become a better person. Sorry to be hard on you but you asked for it. Take care, space ps. for tips 2 and 3 you should PM me.

Rather than flame you, I would ask how are you excelling in your course Have you met the criteria for an A at only 10 jumps? are you that good? did ya nail all the TLO´s? respect if ya did. I don´t think you will get far if you did not. speak up. if you are doing exceptional, you will have no probs other than.... take care, space

I lived, worked, and jumped in New Orleans area for 12 years. My work for 8 years was on the Mississippi river, on what you would call tugboats, which were actually pushboats that pushed barges. One grain barge has a a 1400 ton capacity, 200 x 35ft surface area which if you gave each person one square yard of space that would equal to 777 people at 77 tons and there are at least 3000 barges in the area and easily 500 pushboats if half were taken out that would leave 150 (which is unlikely), if each boat took one barge of people that would be 116,666 people for the 12hr jaunt to Baton Rouge and stops in between where they could be off loaded. Hmmm. Weird. take care, space

If I could do a downwinder landing. The downwind speed that I felt comfortable at landing, that would be the ideal with my canopy set up. otherwise (with lower winds), it would just be up to my accepted level of risk which seems to not be ideal so much. It´s actually one of those altitudes that I don´t like much for freefall. because you are in the dark grey zone for flying away from the object and hooking it 180°. I would prefer to exit lower if there was no/low wind. but it seems always hard not to go to the top. take care, space

OK, I will be the first to give you crap. Low winds are nasty on antennas if you have a clue. and you Spelled "brake" wrong. it is Not "break" lines, it is "brake" lines. if you call them break lines then what shall they do if they perform correctly. it is all about correct spelling, Not capitalizations and of course knowing when you be in a beyond your experience in stowing brakes or jumping a certain type of object without knowing which conditions will nail ya. BRAKE not break. have fun, glad you can pass this common failure on. take care, space

Hi Mina, It is all abouz control. Iffin you are into Dominant/submissive then I really think you should go for it just so you can show who´s boss or at least contest it. But please don´t try this at home. IMHO your lover should be doing everything to help you acheive your dreams and you him. take care, space

I understand what you asked. The results of your question can be very misleading and this is what I am trying to point out. take care and do my poll please. space

There are big diffs in drag and stability. Actually they are inversely proportionate to these 2 criteria of block and bias. Let us know. take care, space
-
I would suggest that you research PC threads so that you understand all the dynamics of PC´s. The numbers you refer to have not much to do with the drag or stability factors. Are the dimensions you refer to; Cut size? Finished size? Block or biased constructed (upto 30% difference in drag)? Vented? small or large mesh? The list goes on. 52, 46, 42, 36, All are bias constructed and these sizes are the cut size. My 36" has small mesh. take care, space PS, I will do a poll.

Velcro wears very fast. Should not be a prob with a less than 50 jump shrivel flap made with "original Velcro". There are subs out there that are not even close. take care, space
