Yes, Tony! You should definitely check out Zhills! The sunsets there are beautiful! Lemme know if you need directions. Just a warning though - they already have a resident, kick-ass photog. Fall in dove. -

When I went to Gulf Coast Skydivers for the Mardi Gras boogie I was astounded by the beautiful view from the air. All the swirly, curvey rivers and the gulf reflecting the sun. Just beautiful. And being the home of the Pink Mafia the view on the ground is pretty nice too. Fall in dove. -

Paul will make it. I don't know him but I was there at the scene. The most positive thing that happened was while the medics were working on him. They asked him how old he was and he replied, "Twenty." Still had his sense of humor. I have been praying. Everyone in my family has been praying. He has a huge support system on top of already being an incredibly tough human being. And it seems pretty clear to me (and lots of others who were there) that God is not done with Paul yet. There is no way to explain how he got out of that car other than divine intervention. All my love, prayers and support to all his family and friends.

My job would be a dream job if only NFL games were played on Thursdays so I could still skydive on the weekends during the NFL season. Fall in dove.

Yup! I was mostly doing organized monkey loads on Saturday. Sunday I was too sad to jump in the morning and then the clouds rolled in. What were you up to? Fall in dove.

A friend of mine who I grew up makes some amazing designs. He has done lotsa pro hockey goalie masks. And he is an incredible guy as well.

Most parents just want to see their kids be happy. My parents know just how happy skydiving makes me. They could see how my personality shifted and the corners of my mouth tended to curve upward instead of downward once I discovered the joy of flight. So even though they know it is a risky sport, they also know my life is much richer because of it. And they have come to accept that if I die skydiving, at least I died happy, fulfilled and doing what I love.

My grandmother passed away almost 2 weeks ago. She was 97. My grandfather, who is 94, is now alone for the first time. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary this June. While some of my relatives were going through her jewelry box deciding on who got what, I was thinking about my Grandpa and wanting to make his pain and sorrow and loneliness go away. My mom asked me if there was anything I wanted of Grandma's. I really couldn't think of anything. I have what I want - memories. Such sweet memories. I've been dreaming of her a lot lately and she is in all my dreams. She is younger in my dreams - not YOUNG - but the way she was when I was a kid. And she laughs a lot. In my dream last night she was laughing so hard she slapped her hands on her knees and fell to the ground rolling around, holding her stomach.

You are absolutely gonna LOOOOOOOVE Skydive Orange. You cannot go into (or out of) that place without getting hugged many, many times. The people rock. The talent in all disciplines is astounding. The nightlife is on FIRE! As far as living there - they do have a small trailer park but I think there is a waiting list. And they typically don't operate much on weekdays (except Wednesdays when jumps are $15) so if you're looking to jump hard all week long you might be a bit disappointed. But that is the ONLY drawback. Other than that, you couldn't ask for a nicer dz.

Thanks! No chance of losing it - it just gets bigger and bigger! I get shit for it all the time but I can't help it. Skydiving just floats my boat like you wouldn't believe. I hope we get to jump together someday too. Don't forget to wear shades so I don't blind you!

Jump run? Shit, my heart pounds as I drive down the road on the way to the dz. I LOVE this stuff! I attached a pic from my first jump (tandem) and from a jump last summer. I still can't seem to wipe that smile off my face! It's like that EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Fall in dove.
