I absolutely LOVE Bill Bryson! I only just heard about this book. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I just recently read In A Sunburned Country and have also read A Walk In The Woods and The Mother Tongue. He is such an amazing writer - very thought provoking and humorous as well. -

I've been hiding in the Maxipad. Sounds awful and unsanitary (despite that it's a SANITARY pad!) I know, but it's just a little airstream trailer at Skydive Crosskeys. Very quaint, but no water or AC or internet access. Hence the disappearance from dz.com. And Turtle..... don't most guys like to be chased? If you can't freefly very well then the freefly chicks will have to chase you around the sky. Either that or hold on to you very tight after exit. I wouldn't think you would be opposed to either!

I beg your pardon! I have actually flown on my belly a few times recently and actually made it into my slot before many of the belly fliers! So BITE ME BILL!!!!!! (I mean that in the nicest way, of course!) Fall in dove.

I haven't had any formal freefly coaching but I definitely learned a lot from some of the LOs I've jumped with. Two of the best LOs I've ever jumped with are Mike Wittenberg from Team Loki (LO at Zhills during the winter) and Adam Rosen from Monkey Claw (SKydive Crosskeys). Both are not only kickass freefliers but great communicators as well. And they put together incredibly fun and challenging dives. Fall in dove.

I went through a changing avatar phase. It was partly mood related and part too much time on my hands. I enjoy weeing various pics of others and don't think it's bad practice at all. Change away!
