  3. Fear not -- I got some great ones here in Florida, and am very happy to share. (I'll post one here as soon as I get them off of my camera and compress them). See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  4. BTW, several years ago the Marine Corps adjusted its ht/wt tables -- just in time for me to hit 35 and put on about 15 lbs! Lucky for me. I was always closer to my minimum weight than to my max up until then. For the OP: I would DEFINITELY recommend having your boy lose the weight before starting training. I have NOTHING against the job the instructors do (and respect the hell out of them for the huge variety of crap they have to deal with while working inside a "fish bowl"), but they are not trained in fitness and healthy weight loss. The general answer to weight loss is to work out more, and just eat less -- sometimes to the detriment of the process (metabolism shuts down when not enough calories are consumed). I am impressed, however, that we've started to incorporate sports trainers (treating the soreness and aches) into the fitness centers of our major bases and recruit training bases. 5. orgies?? or did you not mean that far back? Don't be silly. Orgies are at Beltane (May 1st)! On another note, Bright Blessings for the Solstice tomorrow, everyone!
  6. All of those, plus 17 & 18 (finale) are already up on usanetwork.com.
  7. Okay, that was good! Looking forward to the next season already!! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  8. 10 min left, and I still can't wait to see how they get out of this one! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  9. Or, call Stacy and Clinton to learn how to dress the body she has! Not that difficult to go from trashy to classy. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  10. Not really. How many years does he have left to live? He was a double digit billionaire for a long time before he had this proof of heart...it seems prompted by Gates. Zuckerberg, on the other hand, has pledged to start giving away his money now, while in his 20s. That might be a better argument to use. But again, they're opting to give to a charity, not the government, and on an incremental and voluntary basis. They can always change their mind if they don't like how the money gets used, or if they start feeling "poor." In my opinion, that's still a sort of a tax. The government authorizes certain charitable contributions to be deducted from your calculated income, thereby reducing your tax burden. The way I see it, I choose which charities my "tax dollars" support by making my own contributions. This lowers my overall income tax "bill", or the money the government has to fund whatever other expenses it requires (chooses). Overall, more of my tax dollars go toward supporting charities I prefer, but I don't require everyone else to support mine -- they can support their own. Yes, I understand this is not a dollar-for-dollar exchange -- it's a tax deduction, not a tax credit. However, this practice still lowers my overall tax burden, and usually helps bump me down to a lower tax bracket. And, I see how my contribution works toward the overall good of the society. Now, compare this to the case of the top 1%. Sure, they don't get ALL of their tax deductions from charitable contributions, but they're also not (generally, hopefully) going to be the ones later who need government-funded retirement plans and health insurance. 11. Crappy song but I like the sentiment. After all, who doesn't like under-the-tree-sex? I like all the old Christmas songs I grew up with. I hate the Grandma song and the Barking Dogs. All the celebrity Christmas vanity projects I can tune out pretty well. I do enjoy hearing The Waitresses doing Christmas Wrapping. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SzjDOk_u9I Me. Evergreens make me break out in hives, not a good thing with those...areas...exposed. Why do you think I have a fake tree? I lose shit

I'm having the same issue right now! Last night I just sent out about 20 text messages and emails asking people for their current addresses so I can send out my cards next week. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  14. Yes, but was it shite weather where you wouldn't have been jumping anyway and did you have fun and a beer or two while you were doing it? I can understand you not wanting to get roped into doing it over and over again, though. If anyone asks again, you can beg off with "Sorry, that was a lot more work than I thought it would be."
  15. 44 cents! With the latest programs from the USPS, you can put ANY photo on your own postage now! I was looking at some of my grandmothers correspondence while going thru old family pictures from the early 1900's. I noticed the stamps... $.06-.08 and a couple from her family in England with 9pence stamps. I have 1/2 penny stamps...never heard of cheaper ones, I bet yours are worth a bunch, hope ya kept them! They're definitely worth a fortune -- to her! What a wonderful treasure you have there, Amazon. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

  17. I usually buy Legos. I took a set to the Marine Corps birthday ball one year (to drop in the toy drive bin). At a formal event attended by a bunch of senior officers, I watched more than half of them turn into 6-yr-old boys, exclaiming with envy, "you got LEGOS!" And so began the tradition. BTW, I also like to donate jigsaw puzzles. Older kids need good stuff, too!
  18. I'm definitely ready for the weekend, but I have one more week of Turkish before I come home to Tampa for the rest of the month. Damn. Wish I was hitting the road tomorrow, but at least it's only 7 more days away! Congrats on the house, bud! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

  21. I gather by your profile that you're not commissioned. Therefore, you don't make THAT much more than the more junior airmen. The money you paid for the tickets is going back to support the junior airmen, true? You're setting the example to the other NCOs and officers that they should be buying tickets as well. Ideally, the booster club should get more money out of the sales than the actual value of the items donated by the retailers. You're just helping them reach that goal. Additionally, you didn't say how much the tickets cost, but I would think they'd be priced so that the junior guys could afford to get more than one or two. But again, it's a fundraiser for the booster club, so more tickets sold equates to more money for their programs. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
