Okay, I know, not skydiving related, but maybe a little as that will probably be a lot of the pictures I take. Anyway...I need some good advice on what type of digital camera to get. I know ZILCH about them, so am trying to read reviews and such, but would love some personal recommendations. Here's what I really want on it: 1.Zoom of course...so I can zoom in on landings, flying canopies and such and not have them look like specks. 2. LCD screen on the back. 3. Holds a decent number of pictures, and can hold more with another memory card or something. I don't quite understand all of that, but I just want to make sure if I'm away from home I'm not stuck only getting to take a handful of pictures until I can get to the computer to upload them. 4. Reasonably priced (of course!) 5. OH! Also needs to be able to focus in pretty clearly on things that are close. Like the hemp necklaces I'm making...you can't take any pics less then three feet away with my normal camera, so it's really blurry when you try to get close. 5. Wow. What gorgeous pictures! Even dolphins! You should realize consider photojournalism as a career Sangiro! Since I'm very 'untraveled', I love seeing places I probably won't get to for a while yet. Can I ask what kind of camera you use? Your pictures are always amazing, and I'm seriously considering investing in a good camera. I just haven't decided on a standard-type camera (I like the manuel Pentium I used to have that you could do a lot with back when I did a little with photography), a digital (because scanning is a pain in the a$$ when your 'puter freezes up every few minutes...damn Windows ME!) but then there are the 'non-computer-geek' friends and family who will never see them if they aren't in print, and lastly, just going all the way with a Sony DCR-PC9 or some such thing that I can use for home use, stills and later, for camera flying. But that's quite an investment and I'm anxious to at least have something now that I can take decent pics with. Thoughts?! Good places to buy cameras (perhaps a refurbished?) Thanks!! P A new page! Ah, have seen that one before...a classic... Scary as shit! Have you seen on the movie Base (I think) at the end when the guy lands after doing a headdown with someone and you can see the shadow of the slider still at the top by the canopy! He barely got the canopy open at all in time it looks like. I heard he was hurt on that jump too...not sure to what extent. Scary! A new page! Bi-Plane pics!

Very cool! You guys are giving me more ideas of what to download and listen to while bored at work :) Boy, they will be surprised when they find all the mp3's on my computer after I leave...LOL! "Gee, so THAT was what she was doing in her office all day!" Personally, I like a ton of different stuff. From country (showing my 'roots' a bit there since I truly am a farm girl despite the hair colors, piercings and tats) to reggae to some the cheesy crap they'll play on the radio around here to classical (I MISS playing music very much!) All depends on my mood. The only thing I don't like listening to is the really 'heavy metal' and rap stuff. Anything overly violent or where the lyrics make absolutely no sense at all so I bear singing to it I don't listen to long. Of course I'm also limited what I can listen to while the kids are in the car with me :) A little cursing they can deal with, they hear that anyway in day-to-day life, but if it's every other word...nah. I was actually reading a review of a 'live' concert of theirs and the person said it was really amazing with all the colors and stuff on the screen that the real people were behind...I wish they weren't in the UK, I'd have to go check it out :) They have a song about gravity...can't be all bad. :) A new page! I'm officially old now I guess because I think this is very strange. I am listening to the radio out-of-town (cuz there is never any new music in this town!) and hear some song that I really liked. My daughter tells me that the people who sing it are the 'Gorillaz' (that's how it's spelled..really). She said they have a cool video to it also. I ask if it is on Nick, my first clue that perhaps my tastes in music are slacking. It was. So I look it up today, and get this. They are cartoons! It is a band, completely animated, that has albums out! They even 'tour' by 'playing' behind a screen. Okay, first it's all the kiddie singers and bands...now toons!? Gorillaz P A new page!
