ROFL! I love SpongeBob! And Rocket Power! What makes me laugh lately is the commercial with the Shrimp from Long John Silver's ... and Merrick's impression of him. It's hilarious "Dude, you're stifling me!" hehe Or things like the dog who crashes into the cabinets when he runs through the kitchen so they put toilet paper to cushion it... Well, I had it when they hired me and I'm told everyone was very surprised the ultra-conservative boss went for it :) That's actually another part of the story of mine :) I went down to the piercer after getting the nose screw out and having problems (40 mins away about), then decided to let him put a hoop in it rather then the screw back in cuz I had been wanting to anyway. So he did, but after getting home I thought "Gawd, this is so thick! The boss will freak!" Co-workers confirmed he probably would have, so that's why I ended up with that one out too (stupid, stupid!) and a stud in. Phew. There ya go :) But it's just a cute sparkly flower thing now so I guess he's okay with that and the tongue ring *shrug* He'll have to be..the lady I was supposed to help decided to retire instead so he's screwed without me now :) haha! It's rather hilarious because no matter what, the thing I was most determined to do is NOT leave the hole empty to grow up The funniest thing is when people ask why I have my nose and tongue ring, all I can say is "I don't know. I just like them." *shrug* ROFL! I actually thought of that as I was trying to get it in! haha Ah well, the stud will do for now, and I'll go have someone put the screw back in later. Totally not skydiving, of course, but I figured in our mixed group here someone might have a clue, because I don't. I have a nose screw for a while now, and decided to take it out to put in a different one last Saturday. To make a very long story short, the jewelry I had got sucked, I couldn't use it and now can't get the original one back in. I have a nose stud in now to hold things open, but I for the life of me can't figure out how to get the damn screw back in! After much pain and some blood, I'm desparate. I'm hoping Santa will be bringing me a new freefly suit for Xmas and now I have a few questions. I want to start learning what to do with that new suit. I know the first thing to do is learn to sit. I've done a few that are more of the recliner type sits, but I'm wondering where you go from there, just out of curiosity. I know it will take me a little while to get used to even doing a sit in the new suit, as the only time I've pulled it off at all is when I had a large blousy jacket on and shorts...while I had things the opposite, big pants and a t-shirt, it was insane! Ramon can attest to that

Oh good one! I forgot to say something about that! I actually found out during a dive at Quincy (the newbie tent of course) how very true that was! I would get into a two way to lay base then look for the others coming in causing the base to spin all the time! It's amazing how just changing your focus can make such a big difference! I had major problems with spinning myself as a student. I had people video it, had a coach..the whole deal. Everyone finally just told me..they had no idea why I was still spinning. There came a time when everything appeared to be fine on vid, but it wasn't. I had a low pull on my first time spinning because I lost track of my altitude. I'm talking LOW PULL! As in checking my alti at 1500 and thinking "holy shit!" and pulling. I heard toe taps and relax until I was blue in the face. This is kinda a weird thing to offer up as advice or a tip, but try going on to the next thing you have to accomplish. Something different, fun. A flip perhaps :) That's what did it for me. Merrick actually suggested it...a way to relax and get my mind off the spins. If you're like me, the more you're told to relax, the harder it is to do so. So going on to thinking about something else I 'needed to do' got my mind off of it, so I didn't OVER-think it. I still enjoy doing front flips when I'm stressed :) Good luck and let us know how things go!!
