Speaking of Jackass...anyone actually go see THAT movie?? I don't think I could handle it. Besides it sounding like a total waste of film...it sounds pretty disgusting. Pee'ing on snow then eating it is entertainment?!?! Pam

I have heard that Eminem actually can act pretty decently. It'd be worth seeing just to see if it were true.
-
Sounds yummy! And somewhat dangerous
-
Good (and some funny!) points!! Thanks for the laugh and the ideas!
-
ROFL! Yeah, well, Merrick doesn't help. He just laughs at my predicement since he doesn't drink and finds it all amusing LOL!
-
ROFL! But I like to have a beer with dinner! And I wasn't in bed yet..just had left the room for a minute and hadn't chucked the bottle yet lol
-
Okay...ya gotta tell me the ingredients for that one. Heard of the screw but not with a kiss :) How special! Pam

With all the talk about drinks and such, I thought I'd bring up what my 7 year-old son said a couple nights ago. He came to me with an empty beer bottle I hadn't thrown away yet and told me that I was to stop drinking beer. It was drugs, and I was drinking drugs. Said I needed to dump the rest of it out and throw it away. It was kinda funny..I wanted to laugh. But at the same time, I don't know what to tell him! I didn't say much of anything because I'm not sure what TO say! Damn the school and their red ribbon week!! Pam

1. Beer 2. Beer 3. Beer Mostly drink beer..preferably a lager, and Fat Tire is good, but I try a lot of different kinds. My own brew is getting there too. I do like Vodka on occassion too (a very spicy Bloody Mary or a Screwdriver) and Parrot Bay. Sometimes Kahlua. Tequilla makes me mouth off too much though

Can you actually switch it or do you have to sign up for an account with Hotmail? I use three diff Hotmail addresses...it's all free :)

I know this has been talked about a little in the past, how many skydivers are actually afraid of heights, but in frustration, I'd love to hear some ideas. The comment I get from whuffos the most is about being afraid of heights (or like my boss this morning..about how it amused him he had a girl in my office who's VERY afraid of heights - I don't know how the subject came up with them - then there's me who jumps out of airplanes). I STILL haven't been able to explain to anyone adequately how it's not the same. I try to explain a little about depth perception and so forth, but I don't completely understand it myself so it's hard to explain it to someone else. I, myself, tried climbing on the roof to put up Christmas lights last year and nearly hyperventilated because I hate heights that much. Thinking, "If I can push myself to jump out of a plane, I can make myself overcome this," but I couldn't! It still befuddles me, even. I just couldn't physically make my legs move up further then I'd gone on the ladder (almost to the top) or make myself actually climb on the roof. It's such an odd thing to me..so maybe someone else can explain it more then I will have something better to say when I hear such comments! Pam

Congrats! It's really cool listening to people just getting started :) Talk away! Pam

Hey nice to meet you :) Welcome to the forums (and skydiving!) Pam
-
You did better then me then! I had to listen to it a second time ;) I think I'll go show this to the kids....
-
Me too. I think that a lot, about how much better I'd like to be right now. But like you, I keep telling myself how I still have a lifetime ahead of me, and only 11 years and counting until my youngest is 18 so I can shove him out of the house hehe Seriously, I do hope things will change, but geez, I have a lifetime to fill up still, so I guess I have time to slow down if I need to :) WOW! That surprises me even more. I wonder what the percentage would be on here? It seems like there are a lot of us who are on the forums, but perhaps it's just that us women speak up more? (like women talking more is unusual! )
-
Really? It doesn't seem like it on here! Good to hear! I'm with you Speedy...it's good to hear others say it's not entire focus of their life and that it's okay. I haven't lost my interest at all, but then again, I haven't gotten to jump enough to be able to. It has been a never-ending source of frustration how it's been 2 1/2 years since we started, yet for a variety of reasons (family medical problems, money, kids, small planes) we haven't been able to make even a 100 jumps yet. Nearly, but not quite. I still wonder how proficient I'll ever be at it, but I don't totally suck either. I don't always feel like a 'real skydiver' because I can't get out there as often as I'd like (and I'd really like!), and I can't always stick around and party with friends like I want to with the kids there. On the other hand, though, I get to jump with my husband and don't have to worry about him bitching about my jumping or spending the money to jump, we just have to put up with not getting to go as often since there's two of us to pay for when we do, and sometimes leaving sooner then we want. Too, there's the whole single's scene that is connected to skydiving a lot that of course we just don't fit in to. But it certainly amuses me to watch the people trying to hook up or on here trying to figure out when/where they will next get laid and know that I can get it anytime I want I don't ever intend to quit, I don't think I can, but I look forward to when the kids are gone and we can jump more freely, and also have more money to spend on it if we want! For now, we're just weekend warriers trying to stay current

Mmmmm... more! More! Yup, totally works for me! Remi, care to add anything in that sexy French tongue of yours? (and no, I don't care what you're saying, just keep talking!)
-
ROFL! Whoops! Opened the forums, clicked on the top one automatically and thought "where the heck am I!?" Cool :)
-
Well, that makes three of us now brewing. Go figure, skydivers brewing their own beers Back in northern OK, winter was the only time you could make jumps because students took over the C-182's in the summer. I actually like the colder weather so much more then the real hot stuff. Makes packing not so bad at least!
-
LOL! I hear ya Amber. Moving out here to NC from OK with a fish, a frog (water one), a hamster (recently deceased of old age), two cats and three dogs all in the Durango with me was insane. It was quite a trip!

What grade were you in when you 'did it' the first time?
Pammi replied to Deuce's topic in The Bonfire
I got married in the 9th grade-the same year I "did it". Not to the same person though. Its a long story. Some of you will hear it in Eloy. Jess Wow..I got married at the end of my Junior year. NOT recommended! -
I LOVE ferrets! Miss the one that I had. I would love to have another, but with all the creatures we have, I'm afraid there'd be a real clash. We already have to be careful with watching out for our new parakeet so she doesn't get eaten...ALL of our creatures are interested in seeing how she tastes it seems! Pam

No! And I totally suck! I kept meaning too and didn't ever get around to it...kinda like my B license. LOL! I still have the form tho :) Not sure how long it's good for, but even if I can't send it still, it's awesome to have all of those signatures from some great people, including the infamous Scotty! How ya doing anyway??? Pam
-
ROFL! Ya' got a point ;) lol! I even make Merrick brush my Himalayan so I don't have to listen to him howl. He can be mad at Merrick, not me! Thanks Cajones...you made me have to open the pic again and look. Imagine me, face close up to the screen, looking at a cat butt trying to figure out if there really is a dingleberry! LOL!!

Here's an idea for dressing up your cat ;) (and you know me...I wouldn't show it if it hurt the kitty , although it might piss him off ) Pam
