  1. Even after taking you out in the sky?! Seriously though, this boogie kicked ass!! Great skydives, GREAT people, GREAT vibes, great party, great food...and no registration fee!! It sucked having to leave. Thanks to all for making this happen.
  2. Yeah, its looking like that's my only option at this point. Thanks for your help though.
  3. You gonna be in Sebastian this weekend for some big-way "warm-ups"?
  4. Check out your local dive shop if you have one. I got a good quality weightbelt and weights far cheaper than any skydiving gear store I have seen.
  5. No, both the picture and the sound were distorted when I tried to play it in other cameras (I tried 3 different ones). My camera recorded it that way. I haven't tried playing a recording on another camera since I have cleaned the heads though. This I haven't tried yet... Thanks for helping me troubleshoot this guys...please keep it up, its much appreciated!
  6. Yeah, the cleaner did fix that problem, but audio is still really patchy. What cables are you referrring to? Yes, the tape I was using was recording fine, and I actually used the tape in another camera without an issue.
  7. All of a sudden this past weekend my Sony PC-101 started having recording issues. It was recording with lines across the screen and pixelating some images. It was also "patchy" in recording audio...needless to say I had some unhappy customers. I bought a head cleaner and ran it 4 or 5 times and the video is now recording correctly but the audio problems are still there. The instructions on the head cleaner say that I shouldn't run it more times than this, and that if the problem persists, it's a bigger issue than just dirty heads. Before I take the camera in for service, I was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions/advice. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Thanks...You're not so bad yourself! I was going through a bunch video from our jumps and I must say your are the most happy, enthusiastic freeflyer I've ever met. Just about every jump there's a shot of you going nuts geeking someone's camera...it's great! yeah. no shit huh? Reading through this thread I definitely see familiar faces that I talked to. Yoshi - Thanks for the beads bro. If I ever go on a CDZ, I'm going for a negative number! Amazon - Dude, I talked to you on both Friday and Saturday nights at the Ramada bar for a while. How things going at the upstart company in Redmond?
  9. Hi Elisa - reading these Mardi Gras threads I figured out who you were...what did it was you saying how you whacked the CASA on one of our exits I hope your arm is doing OK. Man, you and Ron are troopers...both of you took serious shots exiting the CASA and you guys still managed to recover and fly your slots! I had a blast flying with all you guys! See ya around... Brian
  10. Yeah that was my first thought when I read his post. A few of us were commenting that day how that canopy dove and sounded similiar to a X-braced and were wondering what kind of canopy that was...maybe this was it. How's the Beam treatin' ya, Colonel?
  11. LMFAO!!!! I had forgotten about that...if he does that again, he's getting booted out of the room! I mean, he could at least be considerate enough to use the bathtub. Yeah, last night J told me that all you guys are staying at the Ramada too...sweet! See ya tomorrow.
  12. We get in tomorrow morning....0900 hours sharp, Seargent!!
  13. So I guess he made it to his slot huh? Nah, that's AWESOME! He seemed pretty pumped about going so I'm glad it worked out. Please congratulate and wish him luck for me.
  14. A couple of us are gonna try to make it from up here. Hey Dee - Cool that you'll be there. Will your man be in town that weekend also?
  15. Are you incorporating the freestyle event within the accuracy and distance rounds? Or did you mean to say seven rounds?
  16. I'm assuming that you are attaching a Cam-Eye so just a word of caution...ensure that the D-Box doesn't exert to much pressure on the Cam-Eye plug, or it can damage the LANC port. It happened to me and cost me $200 bucks to get it fixed. I made a couple of mods to my D-Box and all is good now. I'm not sure about the 105, but on my 101 you don't have to cut the door off. You can remove it by just unscrewing a few SMALL screws. That way you can put it back on if you need to. I would think that you could do this on the 105 as well because the designs aren't all that different.
  17. Interesting point...never thought about it quite like that. Makes sense considering headdown is one of the most powerful flying orientations.
  18. I was told by someone that a select few of SunPath sponsored athletes not only get free rigs, but also receive endorsement money for jumping Javelins. Can anyone verify that? Note: I have no problem with sponsored jumpers and the the affect it has on gear prices. Like has been stated previously, that's no different than any other sport, or any product for that matter. FULLY sponsored jumpers have made many sacrifices and have dedicated so much to be at the top of their discipline(s)...and I have nothing but respect for that. That kind of dedication in any other major sport, more times than not, results in MUCH, MUCH more. Look at LeBron James...he hadn't played one second yet in the NBA and he already had millions in endorsements and sponsorships. I know that's an extreme example but you guys get my point. So if gear manufacturers want to give people free stuff to the one's who have put forth so much effort into the sport we all love (and receive an endorsement check, if that's the case...), that's totally fine by me!
  19. Hey Denise, I knew I recognized that avatar! I guess you and Greg left right after us...but we ended stopping in town to grab some food and all of sudden the sky just cleared up nicely! Since we were only a couple of minutes from the DZ we decided to head back and see if they were jumping...and sure enough we were able to get 4 jumps in. Hope to see you guys in Sebastian! Brian
  20. By your answer then, am I right to assume that the PST rules are the same as the IPC?
  21. Does the PST use IPC rules/dimensions? If not, does anyone know where I can get the IPC info? I couldn't seem to find it on their site. Thanks.
  22. Yea WTF?!! I hadn't checked the weather for Zhills in a couple of days and the forecast was great for the weekend then. I check today and... Bright side though...hop'n'pops + pond = salvageable(sp?) weekend!
  23. Last one started at 10am, so I'm guessing this one will start at the same time.
  24. I've never heard or even really thought about that. How much of a factor and in what ways does the container play a role in the opening? Edit: Obviously I understand how the container can affect how the bag comes of your back (Birdman mods, etc.). Is that pretty much what you are referring to or are you talking about how it affects the actual canopy itself?
