My rig was partly the reason I didn't go to Eloy. I also havent jumped much because I have been broke and I'm trying to take care of my other financial obligations.I do feel bad that my parents help me so much.I'm trying to find another job that will work around my college schedule so that I can scrape up the $ to jump without having to bother my parents for jump $.I've only made 2 jumps since the end of October and I'm not current right now. My Apologies I have been told that I am "rubbing it in" because I have been fortunate enough to have my parents help me pay for my rig and jumps. I realize there are many who aren't as fortunate as I have been and I do apologize if I have offended anyone with my posts concerning my gear.It was not my intention to do so.I simply wanted advice and wanted to share my experience with others just as everyone else has. I kinda agree,but I know my Mirage would save my butt regardless of its color.Thats why I'm kinda embarrassed.I have this great fitting,new,custom made rig and here I am whinning about the color.I know there are sooo many people out there who would love to be in my position right now just to have a rig regardless of color.Just makes me feel like a shit. Well,I'm not sure whos fault it is.Maybe I read the order form wrong (I'd like to doubt that since I obsessed for 2 months about every little detail concerning my rig..skybytch can testify to that since I bugged the hell outta her with gear questions.but it is possible) or if maybe it was misread by the dealer when he placed the order verbally w/Mirage or if something went wrong with the order at Mirage.I'm just gonna think things over and talk to both my dealer and the people at Mirage. I'm going back to the DZ next weekend to pick up my reserve,so I'll see if the dealer and I can sit down and go over the order form etc to see what the deal is.I just dont want to pitch a big fit over this because I know the dealer and Mirage have done so much to try to make this rig what I wanted and be sure I'm satisfied. Again I just feel llike I'm being a whinning brat. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Well,it isnt that I'm unhappy about it because it does fit great and I still think it looks good.Its just not want I ordered/expected. Seems like it'd be too much of a hassle all the way around. I'm gonna call my dealer and have him pull my original order form to be sure this wasnt a mistake I made misreading the order form or if it was a mistake when placing the order or what. I dont know about that. Kinda seems whinny(sp?) to me. I guess I shouldnt complain since I have a rig and everything fits great. Maybe I'll call Mirage and the dealer I bought it from on Monday and see what they say about the whole situation. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Ok, as most of you know from my other thread ("My Rig!!!") I finally got my new Mirage yesterday. It looks great and fits wonderfully.The only problem is that they made the colors on the reserve cover wrong. It still looks good and I had several people at the DZ tell me I should keep it as is instead of sending it back and have them fix it the way I ordered it.Its kinda starting to grow on me the more I look at it.I know this is really stupid and trivial since I do atleast have a new rig now.I guess I shouldnt complain.So what would you do if this had happened to you? Send it back or keep it? Heres a drawing of both my order and how it was received,just for reference. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Ok,since I dont have a camera on hand right now I went to the Mirage site and did a coloring pic. Heres an example of what I ordered and what I received. Its just a slight difference, but I think its starting to grow on me. Might just keep it.

Yep.Wore it around the house and got funny looks from my parents.(no Wingnut I did not wear it nekkid!) It stayed nice and snuggled up in its cute little box not 3 feet from my bed last night.Woulda slept w/it but too afraid the damn cat would messed w/it while I slept.Then I woulda had to make her into a rug.But its so purdy! The more I look at it the more I like it and it grows on me.I think I'll prob keep it as is.

They're locating debris all over north TX. Some debris has actually been found 30 miles from my house.All the Sheriff's Dept etc are going nuts.I think they're calling in the TX Guard or Natl.Guard to help with search and containment. a prayer to all involved. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Yep thats right.I finally have my brand new pretty Mirage in my possession.It fits perfect and looks great.The only problem is that they did part of the coloring wrong.My reserve flap was supposed to have been blue/black..they made it all black. It still looks sharp though.I dont know if I should send it back and have them fix it as I ordered it or just leave it alone and keep it as is.Everyone whos seen it thinks I should keep it as is...I'm gonna sit and drool over it awhile before I make up my mind. I also got my Cypres today as well and was told that my new reserve will be here next week.I'll post pics soon. And dont worry..the beer has already been bought,delivered and finished off tonight at the DZ..ugh..not feeling good now. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
