    Unfortunately Rev, I do know how you feel right now. Our Boxer went missing all weekend and we've been worried b/c she never leaves our property (we have 76 acres and she doesnt like to wander off of it). But apparently Friday night she either chased off coyotes who got too close to the house and didnt realize she was off the property or she was protecting her 2 puppies.After all the other dogs came back and she didnt we got worried and called around to the neighbors only to find our she was run down by a truck Friday night at the edge of our property line/our neighbor's driveway.They tried to save her but she went within the hour.     Ok I finally got to see it this weekend and I loved it! It took me right back to sitting in the Majestic Theater on Broadway watching it for the first time. I agree the casting of Gerard Butler as the Phantom was a bit off.Hes a great actor but I think he could have done better.(can you believe hes the same guy who played Dracula in Dracula 2000?..weird.) But my big pet peeve though is that they jacked with a major part of the story.Instead of keeping with Leroux's book or Webber's musical production, the movie had the chandelier falling during Christine's performance in 'Don Juan Triumphant' instead of during Carlotta's performance of 'Il Muto'.That caused change to some other little things in the story. Grr why do people think they have to change a classic?If it hadnt been for that screw up I'd say it was a perfect movie version of the musical. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

    I've been wanting to see it since I found out back in Sept that they were releasing a movie version.I've been waiting for months!(yes I'm a Phantom fan can ya tell?) I'm going to go see it tomorrow even though I have to drive 60miles to the nearest theater (Dallas) thats showing it. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

    At the end of the movie Tombstone Wyatt Earp gives Doc Holliday a book that he had written titled My Friend Doc Holliday. Totally fictictious and historically inaccurate. Wyatt never wrote such a book.It was only after Tombstone the movie was made that tourists came pouring in looking for that particular book so a local finally wrote one. There were some problems with the OK Corral scene too like Doc Holliday firing a double barrel shotgun 3 times without reloading etc, but you said look for the factual things.     yes possibly not yet You have to remember that trucks can usually go places most cars cant (think more secluded). It was nothing for me to go on a nice evening way out in the country with a picnic and blankets in the truck under the stars.But then again I live in Texas and like the simple stuff sometimes.     I got a 20GB iPod for Christmas last year and this year I got an Altec Lansing inMotion portable audio system for it. I was skeptical at first but the sound quality really blew me away and I love how compact and easy it is to use.I'd definitely check it out.

    Dont get me wrong Mary, I still plan on crate training Daisy. Its the best/easiest way for us both in my living situation/going to school etc. It was just easier to skip the crate last night since she was already stressed from all the other things of the day. I tried putting her in the pet taxi w/the door open and putting the whole thing on my bed beside me but eventually she just stayed out of that too and crawled up on my neck.Yeah..I'm a pushover.     Well my puppy finally came home last night.She had a very traumatic day having been separated from her mom for the first time,getting all her first puppy shots,ear mite treatment, worming,first bath and then accidentally getting her nails clipped too short and 2 bled (stupid meanie breeder).So by the time I got there to pick her up she was tired and droopy from the shots...poor thing.But she perked up by the time we got home and played a bit before bed time.She was afraid of the crate and pet taxi so me being the softy that I am I caved and let her sleep in bed with me.So I got no sleep,afraid I'd roll over on her lol. Shes curled up in my lap right now being adorable.

    LOL! I hear ya there. I've spent this week in round-the-clock 8-12 hour shifts w/my parents at the hospital from Sunday morning until Wednesday night with my grandmother who had a heart attack and fell/was rushed via ambulance to the ER.Thankfully she recovered and came home for the holidays.Had she not, I had already agreed to stay with her while the rest of my family went to the family gathering stuff.Instead, she was discharged and I got to attend and get a 3rd degree inqusition on why I'm not married since I'm the only single one left in the family (I'm friggin 22 yrs old!) and why I hadnt graduated college yet.     LOL I hear ya! My parents have a Boxer and she has a litter of 5 running around their place too! But I have to say she wouldnt run under the bed.I've seen her corner people at the door, especially funny since she doesnt like my brother-in-law.Atleast she has good judge of character.     LMFAO! Why does it have to be a "cool" name and what is considered a "cool" name? I do not want to name this dog after any form of skydiving related technique,gear,plane,injury,dz etc etc. jumping related stuff is out. So is "fucker" or "asshole" "dumbass" or any of the other fouly interesting terms remotely related b/c I will have to bring this dog around family (including children).
