  1. LMFAO!!!! Priceless! I sooo would have wanted to find a way to set up video at his place to watch the festivities if I were you! Now get him a little sign for his front door proclaiming it "Joe's Crab Shack". "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  2. Hey JT, I have my old mini pack from when I ordered my Mirage if you want it.I obviously don't need it anymore and I'm not using it, as its stuffed in a closet somewhere. Its primarily black but it does have some royal blue on it. Like everyone else has said the mini packs wont hold books (or a regular size clipboard). But if you want this one its yours free (less crap taking up space in my closet.) PM me and let me know.
  3. I'm glad it helped you but please be careful with cortisone. I screwed up my knees and started in on the cortisone to keep my "priorities" together too.In the long run it caused more hurt than help because I kept straining the injury under the false sense of wellness that comes from the temporary relief cortisone provides. So since I was a dumbass in that respect, I've had to go through alot of therapy, RX knee braces (not cheap!) and the looming prospects of knee replacements in my near future. Please don't take this wrong. I'm not trying to lecture. Cortisone has its place, but not as a course of long term care especially if you had already considered surgery. I hope you heal well.
  4. HaHa! thats what I was thinking when I read the list. Jeez! I'm from Corsicana.I can't believe that made the list. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

I bought a 20GB Ipod in 2003 and love it. I'm actually considering giving it to my husband and getting myself a new one hehehe! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  6. Ahh! I want to see cirque sooo bad! I missed varekai when it came through TX. I have Journey of Man on DVD and my husband and I both want to get the other DVDs to add to it. The Zumanity soundtrack is gooood! I'd love to see the show too. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  7. Congrats Dave and Morgan! You both look very happy and the ceremony looked like it was absolutely beautiful. Cheers to the newlywed couple.
  8. Well, I live in Huntsville where they have one of the Red Cross hubs set up and people are pouring in already, not to mention we still have tons of Katrina victims still camped out and TCD is supposed to be evacuating over 6,000 inmates from the units down south to the 9 units we have here. I'm not sure if they mentioned it but the shelters are supposed to be allowing pets if that is a problem. I'm supposed to be out of town this weekend for a family thing but if people still need somewhere to stay PM me and I'll see what I can do. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  9. I'm leaving tomorrow after class to visit the family. Friday I'm driving up to Dallas to spend the weekend with our very own Freaksister and have a "girl party" while we're at the Dave Matthews Band concert. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  10. Not selling? WTH? I just got happy because I realized with the end of August came time to actually get to use my calendar thats been hanging up for months. (I've been accidentally thinking its Sept for months b/c of it lol) Good luck! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  11. We've had it on DVD for awhile.Very cute and funny movie! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  12. Untold amount for wedding expenses and consolidating our two apartments into one new apartment. My guess would be....alot. $450+ for a Minolta Maxxum 7XI w/4 lenses and various other accessories from a cool ex employer friend so that I can start learning photography now that jumping isn't an option.
  13. I actually had a job lined up to be working for a vendor at WFFC again this yr but had to tell him I couldn't make it b/c I found out my grandmother had cancer 2 weeks before the convention and decided that time with her was more important.WFFC will be around next year, but it looks like my grandmother may not be.I'd much rather have her. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  14. KRIS! OH MY GOD!!! Jeez! it looks like we're all getting married these days! congratulations you two! oh you both look so happy and adorably sweet together. You definitely found yourself a beautiful wife, Kris. Melissa, I'm sorry I don't know you better, but you definitely have a perfect gentleman in your arms.I wish both of you the best years to come.
  15. 23 as of this past Friday...heh this post was started on my birthday. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  16. I hope you like the taste of licorice. Blech! taste like shit to me and burned like hell going down. But I had some rather vivid dreams afterwards... My husband keeps a stock of it in the liquor cabinet. Its his drink of choice even though he doesn't drink often. I'm sure he can give you information if you'd like to PM me but it looks like you already have alot of info from others here. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  17. You're probably right, it is commuication. Maybe she just wasn't that into the guy and he just wasn't getting the signals. Who knows? maybe she/they were just wrong, I don't know b/c I wasn't there. But ya know what? this highway runs in BOTH directions and for as many "girls" that have done it there are just as many "boy" that have done it too. Its happened to the best of us, myself included. The only thing you/they can do is brush yourself off and get over it or let it fester and turn you into a bitter and emotionally unstable person which will result in more unhealthy relationships. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  18. My grandmother was just diagnosed with lung cancer this past week. She smoked for 50 years and finally quit cold turkey in 2003 when the doctors told her of her chance of surivial when she had a triple bypass that year.It looks like it still caught up to her. They're putting in the port for Chemotherapy tomorrow and her first treatment is Thursday. Even with the treatment they haven't given her much time.Shes making her final wishes known.I've quit school to go help my family and spend time with her. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  19. *quick hijack* Thanks! Don't feel too out of the loop we just got married June 10th..still newly weds. I've kept a rather low profile around here lately. We didn't make a big deal about the engagement or huge announcements or anything and kept it simple so not many people knew at all. Then the ceremony was very small/private. No big reason, just felt like having some time to myself with my guy. So I've been getting alot of replies like yours.PM me if you want to catch up on anything else. Anywho, *hijack over*..back to kitties and such "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  20. Beware Dave, cats are like potato chips(or skydivers)...you think you'll stop at one but end up with a bunch of them all over your couch! Between me and my husband we ended up with 6 cats and my 8 month old Boston Terrier in a big happy family. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  21. LMAO! No, I just happen to go to Sam Houston State University. Everything in this friggin' town is named after the guy, so I know it well. ...and it was a nice movie. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  22. uh..that would be Sam Houston, not John Houston. Learn some Texas history. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
  23. You might talk to your supervisor about allowing small, clear jewelry. I'm not sure about your particular profession, but some employers will allow it "as long as it isn't blatantly obvious" which has led alot of people to go to the acrylic clear jewelry while at work to prevent closing and then switch to whatever they prefer after work. Just a suggestion.
  24. Went to Hastings last night and picked up my reserved copy. Its sitting on my desk waiting for me to pick it up and read it as soon as I finish rereading the last of the Chronicles of Narnia to gear up for the movie release in December (same people who did the Lord of the Rings Trilogy so it'll be good.) My local Hastings was cool. All the employees chipped in out of their own personal pockets and decorated the store like Hogwarts, complete with the Whomping Willow and dressed the cafe as the Leaky Cauldron serving their own recipe of butter beer. Very creative bunch of folk having alot of fun.Everyone who reserved a copy of HBP in advance got a free HUGE king size Hershey's chocolate bar when they picked up their copy. Mmmmm! books and chocolate...I love this store!
  25. Just contacted one of my local girls with calendars and put an order in for mine.
