Trump looks terrible. L’Oréal should send him a cease and desist from using their makeup telling him ‘You’re not worth it’ Truly a moron, and claiming to be better looking than a woman 20 years younger, never mind it’s really weird comparing looks with someone of the opposite sex - not sure I’ve come across that since kindergarten. Lastly, his ear has no scarring or deformation that I can see.

I wonder if JD misunderstood the #metoo movement? At yesterday’s rally picking up the America needs hope message? It’s interesting and entertaining to see Donald and Vance on the back foot as not only have they lost the narrative they are consistently trying to emulate the messaging from the Harris/Walz campaign. Suddenly Don is outdoing himself with these ‘medical emergencies’, the 2 of them campaigning together for the first time. But the dems are hitting Don hard where it hurts and he’s both whining and changing his behaviour. Notice how he’s whining about name calling, but also doing it less? Crowd size, less talk of it now, accordion hands largely stopped and replaced by smaller single handed gestures. I think Walz is the master of it, it’s natural, spontaneous and light hearted. As an aside,US politicians weird stiff hand gestures tend to puzzle me. They seem to all have the same coach - it’s both sides. Jeffries also does it and it’s pretty widespread. I quite enjoy watching body language. Walz is pretty natural, but in front of large crowds he tweaks his ear quite often - not mocking him, public speaking is my biggest fear and I freeze up with groups over about 20.

This thumbnail on YouTube made me think of the family guy episode Haven’t watched the YouTube video, so no idea what Obama was referencing

Short the stock for November the 6th
-
So apparently Donald refers to his supporters as ‘basement dwellers’.

With Trump it’s usually projection and his language struck me about one of his recent crowd size rants “We have crowds that nobody has ever seen before.” It reminded me of the pictures of him waving at nobody in particular. Slightly tongue in cheek, but I wonder if he has had a psychotic break and is having hallucinations? Maybe the crowds of 100 000 are really there in his head.

https://cdn.jwplayer.com/previews/JHCfyDjT I wonder how our resident evangelicals will react to this ad by the Evangelicals
-
The DJT scam seems to be potentially the biggest way for Trump to legally skirt bribery. Hey Putin, Iran, Egypt etc to just buy shares and give Don the Con a wink and a nudge

Actually you’re right. Harris and Walz are not attacking Republicans, in fact they are drawing attention to true historic republican values and separating them from Donald, Vance and his loony band of cult members. If they are successful in supporting Republicans with backbone, it truly will be a gift to the right.

You’re WITH your wife! That makes you markedly different to Trump and Vance I’m in Australia, we’re known for going to the shops barefoot, Nothing against being barefoot. It appears that you’ve not come across the phrase “Barefoot and pregnant” and it’s relation to misogynistic men oppressing women.
-
On the recent bus tour both Harris and Walz travelling with their partners, and being supported by them publicly. Meanwhile in the party of family values, Trump and Vance have left their wives barefoot in the kitchen?
-
We have at least 2 regular posters who already believed it. They will just giggle like little school girls at the ‘funny’ picture Donald posted and how clever he is for his jibes.
-
You’re in the wrong room, Brent’s thread is a hard right and down the hall :)
-
Harris took in a girl who was being sexually abused when she was in high school, and this motivated her to set up a child sexual assault unit. Meanwhile Donald …

She’s also better looking and more energetic than Trump

In the spirit of staying ‘on topic’ :) This hasn’t appeared to get much coverage. For all the noise of her not speaking to reporters, she answered clearly coherently and with actual facts https://www.c-span.org/video/?537678-1/vice-president-harris-speaks-departing-phoenix
-
Yes, I realised after I replied to him this is his ‘safe space’ and as critics corner needs to be only posts knocking her, or they are “off topic”
-
Well that hit a nerve didn’t it? You criticise her about teleprompter use and I call you out and if you’re happy to criticise her, why not Mike. That isn’t thread drift, it’s purely you reacting strongly to being called out for hypocrisy
-
Yawn. The racist backward teleprompter jokes are over 13 years old. It wasn’t clever or funny then and it’s just as pathetic now. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/republicans-mock-obamas-teleprompter-use/2011/10/18/ If we are going to take the piss out of needing a teleprompter why not mention magic mike? Or cause he’s a white republican it doesn’t count?

I’ve just watched Walz’s rally in Nebraska. I’d say he is probably the first politician I’ve really liked and who comes across as authentic. His clever little jabs to wind up Trump and gaslight him are gold, crowd sizes and McFlurry machines in particular. Key points that stood out for me, are the way he empowers individuals and makes it about family. How he showed respect for traditional republicans as people of values and integrity and separated them from Trump and Vance etc. Lastly and importantly taking head on the issue of Trump and his ilk having tried to overthrow an election and that are planning to do it again.

I agree. Back in 2016 you could understand the reticence to come out and say it as the world was a different place. Now it’s complete cowardice to pretend you’re not. One of my best friends is a Trump supporter and we’ve had some really good arguments over it all. He says that Trump is a crass and vulgar person but that his agenda to upend conventional politics makes that a strength - but my friend has the backbone to stand by his views.

Back in 2010 people were only just coming to terms with cloud storage and I’m pretty sure your average punter couldn’t even explain it coherently today or understand how it really works. Without watching the full context of the video, I will withhold judgement as to whether she didn’t understand it or was simplifying it for the sake of the discussion. It sounds like it was a talk on the legal landscape and therefore probably not the place for a highly technical discussion. I’d love to see the OP explain it in lay terms to us in less than 2 minutes. In reality I think even people like normiss may struggle (not knocking your skills Mark!) On the same note I really doubt the OP understands what a policy is, or could coherently explain it.

I didn’t realise that thanks. Well I’ve got zero interest in wasting my time, I enjoy seeing other points of view when they are authentic, but trolling benefits nobody but the troll.

Yet..

Absolutely and I may be wrong but in the US I believe for treason the death penalty is a potential sentence. It’s wrong that he gets special treatment.
