Since the USA is ranked 29 on the global scale and China 5th maybe the US should be grated for migrants . Especially since migrants tend to be from the higher end of the socioeconomic and educated population of their original countries.
-
On FB a MAGA skydiver friend just posted that migrants are eating horses in Florida. Of course they an evangelical Christian.
-
I found this quite funny timing in relation to Springfield and Trumps recent ramblings about Subways. The music with the ad is Who let the dogs out.

I really think that Trump and Vance are knowingly inciting violence and unrest as a deliberate strategy. They want and need blood to be spilled on a large scale. A couple of weeks ago we had a discussion with regards to the UK government locking up people for inciting violence. A US friend argued that it means the UK doesn’t have free speech. Once again I think the US lacks guard rails as it doesn’t appear there is means to stop the 2 loonies.

The only stock that matters to Maga is DJT and that’s way down - therefore the stock market is bad!

Well according to John Howard we Trump you Howard said political events seen in the US showed its system had major deficiencies. "Everything we're witnessing in America tells us is that their political system is far inferior to ours," he said. "In a parliamentary system, Donald Trump would never have got to the leadership of the Republicans, and I don't think Kamala Harris would ever have got to the leadership of the Democrats. "We wouldn't have gone through the agony the Democrats went through regarding Joe Biden. "They have a different system. And my take, my very strong view, is that a parliamentary system is much better than a presidential system."

Speakers corner has changed a lot over the years. Not one person has suggested nuking the Middle East as the solution recently (I strongly disagree with this to be clear).
-
Not being facetious, I’m genuinely interested to know, what do you think they should be doing?

Landmines are truly indiscriminate, so are rockets fired blindly into civilian areas. As John says these were terrorist communications devices. Israel is responsible for the innocent casualties, of course they are. But the real question is did they make reasonable efforts to minimise killing innocent people? In my opinion they did - it was terrorist equipment with a small amount of explosives limiting the radius.
-
Question: if Israel somehow managed to booby trap or tamper with the rockets so that when they are fired they explode killing the person triggering it. Would that be ok? And if it was terrorist take your child to work day when it happened and the child was also killed, would that be ok?

As I said in the previous post “The sad reality is that there is a terrorist war in the Middle East, it would be ideal if there was the willingness on both sides for a peaceful resolution. Of course every violent attack intensifies the conflict and you could argue that a purely defensive stance is taking the moral high ground. ”

As I said I have mixed feelings. The sad reality is that there is a terrorist war in the Middle East, it would be ideal if there was the willingness on both sides for a peaceful resolution. Of course every violent attack intensifies the conflict and you could argue that a purely defensive stance is taking the moral high ground. From a moral point of view when fighting terrorists I support the use of highly targeted methods to minimise the capabilities of the terrorists. This appears at face value to be about as good as it can be to avoid innocent casualties. It has the risk that a child could have been playing with the pager at the time, but by the same token the west has carried out targeted strikes on houses of terrorists and accepts killing the entire family. If I was in a situation of being under sustained attack by terrorists who were unwilling to use peaceful means, then to answer you, yes I would be a willing participant in using targeted means that aimed to minimise innocent casualties.
-
I have mixed feelings about war crimes when fighting terrorists. Conventional warfare doesn’t really work. This seems like quite a targeted method to have limited innocent casualties.

I don’t he can have a harem if he likes. I thought GOP was the party of Christian morality though.
-
Not disagreeing with you, just think it would be a fun activity to do a few things. 1. Show solidarity with the Haitians 2. Cause Maga’s heads to explode in outrage 3. Opportunity to have a bit of a laugh and fun

In the spirit of the evangelical day of prayer that I grew up with, we need a global day/event to stand with the Haitian migrants. Voodoo spells are not only for harm but also protection. It would be great to have a day when everyone puts a pin in a doll says the protection spell and buries the doll. “You won’t be able to harm You won’t be able to speak You won’t be able to breath Your energy can’t reach me You are no longer part of my life.”

I didn’t say they are sleeping together (although I suspect it). She is travelling with Trump, physically all over each other and spending significant time with him. He’s married to someone. I’m not an open relationship type of person and if my partner was that involved with someone I wouldn’t be happy - and I’m not Christian, Mike Pence, or moralistic Maga Mike.
-
With BoJo and Trump their bit on the side and their daughter are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I love the hypocrisy of the Christian Maga people. Attempt to go after Harris because her husband had an affair in a previous relationship and yet Trump is visibly in an inappropriate relationship with Loomer and possibly sexual and yet crickets from them (except MTG)
-
Talking of critical thinking skills. Trump is raging about how Haitian migrants are taking black jobs.
-
I agree that’s the primary issue, but another aspect is people losing a sense of communal responsibility- one of the few benefits of organised religion.
-
Seen on Reddit “ the concept of an assassination attempt “
-
You’d think Trump would know by now that a woman scorned is a dangerous adversary. MTG has really changed her tune now that Trump has cosied up to Loomer. She’s criticising Trump and Maga Mike for the fake fight over the Save act.
-
I wonder if it is related to him hating Taylor Swift? People predicted Trump would pull stunts to get back in the news cycle, it’s really hard not to see this as a Trump inspired bit of drama - especially with an AK47. Unless it’s Melania out to get Loomer …

For a long time I have questioned the level of American patriotism and how healthy it was. From the outside it always came across as conceited and misguided. Add the 2nd amendment views and commitment to free speech that get portrayed to the world as ‘only Americans are free’ and it really invoked strong negative impressions, but I couldn’t put my finger on why. I think we are now seeing the reasons why the lack of guardrails lead to problems. Allowing hate speech as free speech, can lead to extremism that you can’t curtail. I can’t help but feel that Trump is the product of a problem and not the cause. The right wing vitriol, lies and hate are ‘legal’ and it’s treated no differently to the truth. I know there isn’t a simple answer to getting to balance right between suppressing views and free speech. I believe Europe and other Western countries might have the balance a bit better than the US sadly.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-djt-stock-truth-social-no-intention-of-selling-lockup/ I wonder why so many idiots buy his lies? What are the odds that he sells shares within a month and blames it on Harris/Biden?
