You just don't learn now do you... How many times have you been able to eat your lunch while PWing here? Not too many in my recollection.

>THe breakfast posters are waaaaaay cooler and friendlier and entertaining Yes, yes they are! There just aren't enough of us...

>Har! I see all the non-Americans are online at this time. But of course! This is the time when the europeans and the africans are at work, and as such are free to waste their employers time by chatting away at DZcom! >This is a pattern I noted on dropzone.com. The quiet, reserved types >are online at this time of the day. Yes... Part of it is probably because a lot of the loud americans actually know each other IRL. >Why then is everyone so quiet? We've only got about five hours or >so before the infernal Yankee-flood starts! Oh, the first ones are probably online already, it's nearly 7:00 on the east coast.

Protect the ocean and the environment, we need the air.

Hell, I didn't mean you, you henchman of capitalist oppressors! I was trying to reply to drenaline... -
I thought the rods would be taken out at some stage. At least that's the impression I got from reading a thread on the S&T forum ...yup, the last few posts in this thread seem to indicate that removal of orthopedic hardware is a common practise.

>Sounds like your canopy was a victim center-cell stripping. That's a term I've so far only heard being used when describing a certain undesireable attribute in BASE-canopy deployments. This use of the the term does not refer to actual canopy damage, but rather a deployment where the center cell is 'stripped' out of the container while the other cells are momentarily left in. This causes off-heading openings, which the BASEists are keen to avoid. Check this page for an in-depth explanation. -
>After changing the battery it's still the same. Are the batteries >coming with the Pro Track are already empty? Could be, if they have been sitting on a shelf for years... Try buying a fresh set of batteries, and if that doesn't help, contact L&B. They're known for outstanding customer service.

I'm pretty sure this has been covered at 'Swooping and canopy control'. Did you do a search there?

>I only play doctor in games with my G/F...ooops wrong forum. Whaddaya mean 'wrong forum'? The HH wont be pleased if you start a discussion about that at, say, 'Safety and Training'... >2 years sounds about right, of course some people heal faster than others... So the hardware stays in that long?

Oh, the world is getting all fucked up? What else is new? I've pretty much given up on mankind, eventually were just all going to drown in our own crap(at polluters). And I'm too lazy to really do anything about it(at me and other lazy bastards). I do try to make environmentally sound choices where I can, but cleaning up the messes of others is beyond me. drenaline: I salute people like you. The world needs more of your kind. -
I went to a (very small)LAN-party and played a football-manager game for the whole weekend to feed the geek inside me. I decided I don't like him. My only defense is that a substantial amount of beer was consumed at the party. Did you guys do something skydiving related?

That's what I thought... Fresh in my memory; a friend of mine femured in a week ago, and I heard that the doctor had grounded him for two years! Which does sound a bit excessive to me. But then again I'm no doctor(nor I play one on TV).

Ok, I think I got it; Like everyone else here, I assumed a S/L-student whose line was not hooked up, but now it seems pretty clear to me that it was a freefall-student who grabbed a S/L-rig by mistake... Am I right? That of course would be a a Major Fuck Up. At nearly 20 jumps a student should know enough about gear to make a mistake like that impossible.

>It could be worse, you could e getting couched by a Mininac... Well that one was surely lost on him... RSG: On the matter being discussed here; Sounds like your team would be better off by yourselves, with no coach at all... And what kind of rating system do you have there? If your all licensed jumpers, why does it have to be a rated coach? Couldn't you just ask advice from anyone who knows something about FS?

Wow. That's great!

Ouch. Landing on your butt is definitely not recommended. Your legs heal faster (and better) than your spine...

>Is it possible to explain the moment of first letting go of that plane? No.

>lets not turn this into a boobies post Why not? It would seem pretty appropriate...

Excellent! Congratulations!

Personal attack! Personal attack!

>Maybe, I'm just a sucka and should become a cynic....nah! Go for it dude, a pessimist cynic is never disappointed... Just kidding.
-
Bummer. I'm surprised that someone finds in himself enough trust in his fellow man to do something like that. The world needs more people like you. I wouldn't have given the guy the money.

No probs here.
