  1. Using the store locator, I'm not finding ANY dealers in the midwest, it points me to Ten. or WV. The biggest issue I'm sure for everyone is finding the right frame fit. So, how do we go about this? Stay high pull low
  2. How many jumps does 'Stan' have? I wouldn't have delt with that attitude. If you don't want to play by the rules for our safety as well as your own, peace out bro. Stay high pull low
  3. Exactly! I knew blue would look good. Stay high pull low
  4. Fill it out. That way when you get to say coach jumps, you can quickly find the 2 remaining things you need to work on and get checked off. You can do this in 15 seconds while you're on a call opposed to having to flip through your logbook and figure things out. Stay high pull low
  5. Everyone is right, both here and your jumpmasters, so keep arching and relaxing, but the biggest thing is just keep jumping, keep going at it. Don't worry too much about the things you analyze while watching video of yourself. Don't stress out and vent online, just keep jumping and the wrinkles will work themselves out sooner than you think! Stay high pull low
  6. I'm thinking blue ribs under the white would look alright, wouldn't really change to anything like red does to pink. Stay high pull low
  7. Can we just lock this now? I'm getting sick of these threads. Link him to the other 479 threads dealing with this issue. Stay high pull low
  8. My god, I love the door. I hate riding to altitude towards the front all cramped in, especially if its for say, a caravan with no windows. Then on top of the door being great, it's like whipped cream on top when it's open. Wind in your face, and this weird feeling that's almost like bravery, and being one with the sport, as cliche as that sounds. Because you know that if you decide to fall you, you'll survive and it will be fun as hell! Not a life ending tragedy. Peace Stay high pull low
  9. This isn't my first helmet, I have a Z1 fullface and a Rawa freefly openface, FYI, so I do have those others lying around. One thing I desire and like about the mentioned helmets is a chincup, I don't particularly like these small straps under the chin, I feel the chincup keeps things way more secure and stable.. Maybe, but essentially the helmet will work, I'll just need a box/cage that will fit that camera. And I wouldn't be buying that with the helmet, I'd buy that when I'm ready to set it up.. 10. Can you think of any cons to getting a helmet such as the MXV or Optic210 for a regular helmet? Reason being is that a helmet is a hefty purchase for some, so planning ahead you can obviously use it for video when you get to that point, instead of buying something for the time being and having to fork out another wad of cash down the road. 11. I'm saying the help from behind would not be enough to counteract the detriment you'd be getting from the 50mph you're going into with a big body Stay high pull low
  12. I've got a yellow reserve too, shame I haven't seen it yet! Stay high pull low
  13. If not sarcasm, no. You do a 270 or whatever you want, get up to 50, 60.. I can assure you that is faster than any tailwind you might have. Stay high pull low
  14. +1 on Nick, best packing video you'll find at the moment. Stay high pull low
  15. I doubt any fun jumper would have both, but if you do or perhaps could a proshop with them both post a side by side pic? Trying to figure out size both physical, screen, read size etc.. Stay high pull low
  16. If you know it doesn't fit, are you just going to sit there and look at it, post on the internet? Or are you going to grab a knife, cut the thing the bit you need and be on with shit? Stay high pull low
  17. Yeah I can surely understand that, but I just compare that person to the person who flies through AFF without a problem. If both put in the same effort, the one who grasped it right away will be far more skilled and able to adapt. The other has to put in extra effort just to get to a suitable level, and I feel that this sport is just one of those that if it isn't your thing, not working out the best for you, then don't fight the current you know. But like you say, some really have a passion and if they can fight through it and come out on top then more power to them. Stay high pull low
  18. The only reason I would have liked to have a radio on that particular student is to tell her that skydiving is not her cup of tea, and to find another sport/hobby/activity. Stay high pull low
  19. Two very different dz's, how did you end up on those? There's a million other places that will let you pitch a tent.. Stay high pull low
  20. This isn't the correct way to fix things. According to what your pilot says jumprun speed and wind is doing, exit timing is crucial so you aren't pushing people to land out. As said, the correct way to go about this is figure out before you load the plane who is doing what. Hopefully you've learned most places do belly big to small, freefly big to small, then students and tandems, but this can be altered such as in your situation. Stay high pull low
  21. Did you take into account that the vidiots could have possibly been setting up in a seperate pattern to swoop? I can't assume things but that's often the case. Stay high pull low
  22. I would honestly say save your jump ticket if you plan to do a solo. From here on, except for once in a while, I would always try to be jumping with someone and I would suggest 2 and 4 ways. Yeah bigger ways here and there with more experienced people are fun, but from experience you won't learn much, doing a 2 or 4 way with experience is going to benefit you tons. And I second the 100 belly jumps before trying anything else. It's not just some number someone chose, but you'll really learn more about your body and how to fly it (even if you don't think so) within those jumps. When I first started sit-flying, after stable I was able to turn 360's without even thinking about it, and I honestly didn't know what exactly I did with my arms to make it happen as it just came almost second nature. 23. Take them on a tracking dive? Stay high pull low
  24. It was stated assuming we all know that.. Do you want to tell your significant other to make you a peanut butter sandwich, or do you want to tell her to open the cupboard door, grab a knife, twist the lid off, etc.. Stay high pull low
