My wifes grandpa passed away just like that...in his sleep. Its kinda bitter sweet because unfortunatly you know hes going to pass and thats sad, but at least every one has there chance to say there goodbyes and make peace with everything. This may sound morbid but my wifes grandpas death could not have been any better. everyone was able to have a final moment with him and when he was ready........he was ready. I'm sure your grandpa felt the same way in knowing that he was able to share his last moments with you and your family. jason

We had a guy at our DZ when we had the king air here that would tell the women or anyone thats small in size that when they got to the door to pick there feet up and just hang off the TM and he would just fall out. Looked pretty cool!!! dont know how dangerous it could be though!! jason

Question.......I jump with a guy that said hes was told to (and he does this) pull your cutaway pillow form the velcro and rotate it 360 deg to the left and then put it back in the velcro. This causes the pillow to want to stick out away from your body so it will be easier to grab. anyone else heard of this or does this? jason

No . as soon as it detects your under canopy (slowed to a safe air speed) the audible part turns off. I've my protrack scream in my ear cruising passt my pull alt and as soon as the chute is over my head it stops screaming. It may sound loud on the ground but when the air is going by at 120 mph its not too loud. doesnt hurt your s ears. jason

I believe (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the TM throws out the drogue chute, there is a cord that threads through that stops the chute from pulling out the main , then the TM pull that cord via R/C in which the P/C is then able to pull out the main! I sure some one thats a TM or has packed them can explian better. I've watche d them being packed but thats about it! jason

Ok .......I guess my point was jsut about pulling handles, and I see what your saying about not just pulling handles but being able to recognize the situation and whether its chop time or fix it time, in which yes the more experianced would have the advantage. Guess I just need to think a little bit more before I speak. SO MUCH TO LEARN!!!!!!!!!!

No shit...we have a guy at our DZ that does this all the time. We'll take off and he'll ask the pilot if he's getting good climb and if the plane is loaded with a heavy set of jumps (we fly a C182 & C206) he says ok I"ll do H&P!!!!! and he gets out at like 4000 so the rest of us will climb to alt faster!! We've all told him to ride up with us and that we dont care if it takes longer but he says no I'll get out! OK DUDE its your jump!! jason

But what my piont is is that all the aboved mentioned had nothing to do with a cutaway. It does matter how many linetwist, hard turns or what ever they've seen a cutaway is a cutaway. Just becuase I've seen say 1000 line twists in my 2000 jump career doesnt mean I would be experanced in a chop situation. A first is a first ! Michele had more experaince with a chop on her third skydive than any jumper with 1000 jumps and no chop . why? because shes been there! This is the point I'm trying to make. jason

But you also have to look at that most jumpers under under twenty jumps are still renting gear which in which the rig already has an AAD or you can choose to rent one w/an AAD if one is w/out. So yeah I would say an aad would be good to have through your first 20 jumps. But I'm sure theres argument in that. So what to do!!!!

But how would you justify someone experiance level. I would disagree. I dont think anyone should be forced to use something they may not feel comfortalbe with. Once your off student status and or have your A lic you should be pretty knowledgable in the risks of skydiving and be able to make your own dessicions. I agree with RSLs and AADs for students but thats about it! Just my thoughts jason

I know skytronic has an audible kinda like a protrack, but not as fancy. I think its about 169.00$$ BUT I've heard nothing but bad about there customer service!!!! It reads exit alt, air speed, deployment alt, and some other things. I know with my protrack that at 4000ft it will go beep a couple times for break off then go quiet. Then as I cruise to 2800ft (pull) it beeps a lot faster. And the longer I wait to pull the faster it gets. If I go to 1800(harddeck) it flat lines, but I havent heard that one yet!!!! I love my protrack. I figured if I'm going to buy something for all that info I want the best. I know people that bought a skytronic and are happy with it , but have said they wish they had bought a protrack!!!! Now if your just looking for an audilbe , the dytters I here are great. 165$$ and even the old time outs are great too. I'm sure someone else though will have a diff opinion other than mine and thats fine. I'm just going off what I have and what I've seen and heard jason

AHHH.. I m trying to picture a yellow and white dress but there was soo many poeple there I cant. Hey did you here about or see the little incedent that happened by the bathrooms,,, we were kinda in the middle of that . We were talking to john ( one of the brits) and this dude just flips out and blows right through us and tried to hit him. It was crazy but fun........let me know when your coming up to UT . you going to be in the Ogden area or salt lake? either way have rig will jump!!!!!! jason

I used to own an "elite" moped and my dog was scared shitless of it !!! then one day I told her to climb up and sit down where you put your feet and off we went. Ever since that day I could not get outof the yard without her wanting to climb on and go for a ride!!!!! jason
