Theres really only one thing that motivated me from jump #2 all the way to #69, and that is that THIS SPORT KICKS F#CKING ASS!!!!!!!!!!! Not trying to sound like an ego but I dont jump to save anything, to prove anything, or to anything anything, I jump to have a kick ass time , learn a new sport and make some freinds along the way. I just wanted to keep doing it for the feeling of it physically and the feeling I get when i make a good jump (good jump meaning that I did everthing we said we were going to do) The only motivation I need is a good day, a plane , and a rig!!!!! AND I"M THERE!!! (well ...I may need a kitchen pass too) jason

My motivation was just driving down I-15 ,looking over and seeing a bunch of chutes in the air and thinking "I didnt know they did that out here". And with a birthday coming up , going home and telling the wife this is what I want to do for my birthday (tandem jump)......!!!!!!!!! So really there was no motivation except for the fact of just wanting to try it!!

I, sorry but that show was a disappointment!!!! I mean yeah they looked nice....but waht a bunch of whiners!!! I think maybe two of them had half a brain.........I dont know maybe I'm just getting old but I think the show would have been better if they just showed there layouts, and we didnt have to here them speak!!!! They need to do a show with real extremem women like on this site that wont squeak at the first sign of fear......but then I guss thats why they call it fear factor!! jason

I;ve only been to 3 DZ's but I would have to say that Elsinore was my favorite, because there was no waiting, in other words you could jump as fast as you could pack, the loads and manifest seemed really organized, Big plane, and just a lot of diverse people to talk to and learn things from. My DZ however has the best facilities I've seen yet, they just built a new hanger with a shop, vidoe/training room, a kitchen, gear room, inside packing on ground level and upstairs. Its really nice!!! Now if we can only get a bigger plane!!! jason

But is that going to be a problem because it is f-111? I heard that there are limitations on f-111 compared to zp, and one of them is that it is hard to surf f-111 than zp! Im not trying to do any swoops yet by no means , just trying to learn to get some surf!! jason

MM, Yeah I've been on the look out and I saw April has a 170 for sale but I would like to go to a 150. I figure I can problalby get around 350 to 400 for mine, but I have a feeling it may still be a while, and I've heard that f111 arent the best for surfing so I want to get into zp. I dont know maybe I'm just rushing things to fast !!!! jason

I started after I was married and my wife was against it, and I told her that if I cant jump because of $$$ reasons than I understand, I wont put my $$$ for jumping ahead of $$$ for my family, however if it is not the issue then I dont see the reason to NOT jump. And now that she see's me coming home, and not killing myself she is totally supportive. Its just all about compromise! jason

Heres my thing....I 've started to practice 45 to 90 degree toggle turns and then pulling down my front risers just before landing to get some surf however I am doing this on a PD 170 (f111) loaded 1.01 to1. Am I wasting my time trying to learn on this canopy? I'm looking to go to a hornet 150 (1.1 to 1 loading) but I just dont have the $$$ to purchase right now! jason
