Well I guess I can answer your qusetion now with a no....never had any of those problems......I have blacked out a couple of times one do to a kid putting a head lock on me and 2 being a goaly and getting my head sandwhiched between 2 knees...but nothing like TIA!! Something to think about though!!

Thats a tough question...I guess I can see both sides of the pros and cons ,,but i would think that the it would be better for a kid to be accepted and loved by two people than be thrown around in homes in his/her childhood life.....Hell I dont know ..I see some issues with it but then I dont............................the ???should be should skydivers be allowed to adopted....HELL YEAH!!! The only things that helmuts are good for is holding your audibles and protecing you form minor headbutts , elbows , kicks , and the occasional PLF be even then nothing is a guarenty...... as for it being ASTM Cert.......that really doesnt matter...I dont know of any helmut used for jumping that is "certified" some one correct me if I'm wrong. But yeah if it doesnt have any snag points go ahead and try it. Theres a girl at my DZ that jumps with a ski helmut. The only problem you may have is finding a place to put the audible!!! Someone else want to chime in on this one?? jason

I actauly enjoy hearing those 50 jump wonder stories!!!! I mean thats what this site is all about..people telling us their stories and opinions and advice.......Now I can tell you I'm a freakin expert with 73 jumps....and if you want to listen to me then go ahead ...if you dont then dont.......but we all have our right to post an opinion about what we do...some will agree and some will disagree but thats whats great about this place....Some things I hear here I will go out and try to apply ...other things I throw out the window and thats my chioce....but I dont bash anyone for having an opinion I disagree with,,,I may question it but thats the only way your going to learn...I know I've said some things here that I thought were right and then someone comes behind me and says hey dude...that aint right........well holy shit...I didnt realize that...thanks for coorecting me.....Now if I wouldnt have said it I wouldnt have learned the truth and thats what this site is about......and if we have a little free time its about boobies, beer, and picking on clay!!!! I know for me I knew I was going to start out with a lot of RW flying,however I also knew I would want to get into FF eventualy so I made sure that the rig I bought would be great for RW but also FF friendly so I can play in both worlds......as for the canopy I'm only have 73 jumps so I wanted a good canopy to learn with and be able to land saftly with and a light wing load PD 170(1.0 to 1)...however now I'm downsizing to a little better performance in a canopy Hornet 150 (1.14 to 1 ) .... I really dont think it matters to much which canopy you fly in relation to which disipline you jump unless you doing accuracy or wanting to get into swooping!! But then you can jsut about learn swoopin on any sub 200ft canopy.....Just ask clay...hes swooping a PD 190!!!!! Anyway just me thoughts ,,,someone please coorect me if I'm wrong anywhere!! jason

WOW ....all these Dreams and Asperations to do this as a child........I feel like a loser.......I was jsut driving down I-15, looked out the window,saw a canopy and thought DAMN I didnt know they did that out here......had a birthday coming up so there was my present.....1st tandem....got hooked but couldnt afford it cause I was haveing a baby (well my wife) so I saved for about a 1 or so and then BOOOYAAAA here I am 73 jumps later and LOVING IT!!!!! jason

Mot to beat a dead horese but I was at a Freestyle event in SLC 1.5 yrs ago and therre was a kid there who was 15 years old !!! Pulling out some big shit mind you....so yes there may not be many but they are out there!! jason

How many people do you know can go joina world class FF or 4 way team?....Not very many!!! To answer your quetion .....any 10 through whatever age (and even young ) can go out and purchase a motorcross bike and go have fun.and maybe after a few yreas of riding be pro motor cross person at the age of 15, 16 etc....Any one can purchase a football and get intermediate teams together, anyone can go by skate board ,BMX, whatever and go have fum and eventualy be kick ass at a very young age ,,,,,But to be a skydive you have to be a certain age and have a lot more money to have fun than the above listed. I can go out now and buy a desent motor bike for well under $1000 and have fun......with skydiving...I cant even barley get the training for 1000$!!!! Yes I agree that it suxs were not televised as much but form a marketers piont of veiw its understandable.......and hell less people jumping means more room in the plane right!! jason

Well more like an ustable launch, and her DAD (me) had the malfunction.......So anyway I've got her jumping off the top of the stairs which is about only a 7ft drop for her, but being shes only 2.5 yrs old thats pretty good... Anywho shes jumping off and I'm catching her and on one of her jumps instead of jumping out she more less jumped UP....I dove up the stairs and barley caught her but she came down a littel hard on the legs but nothing that hurt her...Well with that she kinda got scared and we had to start over again at the bottom and work our way back up.........Only after a day and a half hes back at the top...and Now the canopy (dad) is ready to open (catch) sooner if need be !! WHAT A KID!!
