ITs a hornet 150 loaded at 1.14 to 1. Nothing too extreme but I'm going form a PD 170 (f111) loaded at 1.01 to 1 to this. I just flew a cross fire 169 this weekend and that was pretty fast!!! DID a STUPID toggle turn at 300ft to get set into the wind,, came in pretty hot for me, went to flare I didnt realize at that speed you get lift. Finished out the flare and popped up about 7-10 ft scared the shit outa me and produced one hell of a PLF!!!!! Even got it on vidoe!!!! But learned that lesson and stood them up the rest of the jumps. Still cnat believe the speed of theat canopy and that was a 169!!!! BUT WHAT A RIDE!!!!! LETS DO IT AGAIN

I was just wondering if anyone else had there canopy custom made with some safety in mind? When I ordered my main I choose ALL ribs red, cells 1-4 top/bottom noen green, cell 5 top/bottom noen yellow, cells 6-9 top/bottom noen green, stabilizers red, slider red. First I went with these colors cause I liked them , plus it would be easy to find in a cutaway, secondly I chose a yellow center cell so when packing I know exactly where the center is without having to flip aorund looking for the warnign tag ( I'm still new so i gotta make packing as easy as possible) , Thirdly I chose slider red so when the canopy opens the slider will contrast againt the yellow/green cells so it will help to see it and aid in determining if I may just have a snivel (slider visible with 4 distinqued (sp) lines groups) or streamer (no slider visable). Any way just wondering if your colors represent anything to you!!!

HEy congrats on your first jump!!!!!! Yes the motion sickness should pass .......it is very common in tandem to get sick under canopy. Its the whole control issue. My first tandem I was fine , but my second one I almost threw up !!!! When you get on your own rig the whole sickness thing tends to go away because your in control and know where that canopy is going to go!!! As for your brain not being able to do the drills......dont worry about it..you just did something that your hole body was telling you not to.......Your sensories are kicking on overdrive .......this to should pass and soon you'll be have the best time of your life.. Just listen to your instructors and dont get down on your self if you screw something up the first time......WE"VE ALL BEEN THERE!!!

Hey steve,.....No I was jsut told the 85$ ......but hell even if there is a possible 3% import fee thats still nothing compared to what you could be paying. I was told my canopy will be ready in 5 weeks and on the 19th it will be 5 weeks, so I'm hoping it will be on its way. As for getting in contact with them all my emails have all gotten reponded by manny himself. Also I called over there a couple of times in the beginning to make sure everything went through OK. Its an expensive call but at least you get the answeres to your questions right then and there!!! jason

Yeah...If you look at there site they dont list the prices any more. You have to email or call........I think there economy is going back u a little too plus it depends on the size of the canopy . I know when I ordered my 150 it was 563$ and for a 170 was like 600$ something!!! Still a great price for new custom canopy!! Hopefully should be here in the next week or so!! jason

You can also get them direct for PISA in SA at www.icarus.co.za/........I ordered mine form there wiht custom colors for a way reduced priced.....(SA economy not what it use to be ) should be here in the next week or two!!! jason
