  1. I'm in the process of setting up my flat top pro. I'm putting the still camera on top and mounting the PC120 out front. With the Sigma 14 on, the 10D is much heavier than the video so I'm reversing things to make it easier on my neck. When it's done, I'll post pictures.
  2. So you get to win your second World Games gold medal right at home, then! Noice!

    How much money...

Thanks. So about a million three to pull $3600 a month, after taxes. I know that's a wild hair figure, but I appreciate it.

    How much money...

For the sake of this argument, we're talking right now, how much money would have to be securely invested to generate that income?

I need an answer from the capitalist American economy anyhow, you fromage. I fart in your general direction. (but I like your wife, so don't take too much offense. You can't be all bad. But I take that purely as a matter of faith)
  6. Mrs. was 36 I was 33, twins. Married 10 years at that point. Children define you.

    How much money...

Would a person have to have in the bank or investments or whatever to get $3600 per month off it, forever? Come on financial wizards! Show me what you got!

Everybody is at a 7 year old birthday party. Bring it. Maybe pub? Home. Finished the DZ.Holiday Boogie "03 (OMG what a biotch) So bring it. I'm drinking shiraz until it's gone....
  12. Diamond makes a .3 and a .5. I started with the Kenko .5. It worked fine. It matches up well with a 28mm film lens.
  13. My new one is USB, if it's good enough for Billvon, it's good enough for me. Had to put 1.5 gig of RAM in the freaking machine to make it do the right stuff, but heck, it's only money I don't have
  14. Way back when I was employed, I had to get all new dress shirts after flying camera for a while.
  15. Bump. You losers are just completely jealous of my tank, aren't you?
  16. Oh, the portable, delicious, quick smokable crack is so wonderful. My goddamn dentist won't relaminate my teeth from the burns, but after more crack, I don't care..... CRRRRRRRRACK! Nummy!

    Drinking

I got pretty drunk with you and we ate raw fish. We drank Sapporo. Byotch is an excellent dinner date.
  18. Both Brent Finley and Greg Gasson talked about film at the Holiday Boogie, and showed us some. Apparently the film puts one frame down on each video frame. The clarity and depth were very noticeably better on the film clips.
  19. My last bike was a 90 Katana 1100. I like to take very long trips with my Mrs. on the bike as often as I can. The K12 is faster at the top end, but the steering is a little heavier. It is much better in slalom than the Katana, but the Katana was easier to countersteer into a turn. 16 in wheels. The 12 is much easier to rode long distances, and I've ridden it to San Diego in a day from SF, and regularly do 600 mile days on it with the Mrs. MUCH better suspension for touring two-up. Here's a picture of the bike at Fort Hunter Ligget, from this past summer. THE BEST way to get from HWY 101 to the coast. Beautiful ride.
  20. I just got a new (backup) PC 120 off Ebay for $900.
  21. Depends on the card, Clay. My Sony computer uses the same firewire input as my PC120.
  22. It's the '02, with all the neato options like cruise control and stock heated grips. I get better than 40 when there's either traffic or cops around. When I get it up to 150 it goes through supreme at an astounding rate. Great sound at that pace, though. The stock exhaust sounds like a Pinto. Wide rear wheel first, though.
  23. Too many wheels on that one. This one is much, much cooler.
  24. Thanks Lew, and hopefully you'll be all digitized soon. My machinist is a guy who does medical machines. First version will be aluminum and "then we'll go with exotic shit" - his words. Greg's stuff is magnesium. Titanium is about the same cost, but is harder to machine, but is even a little bit lighter. The 550EX is such a leap from anything else out there, especially with the 10D. The two flashes can have the heads exaclty parallel, and still communicate and function ETTL, high speed. Yeah, JP, we talked about the Quantum and that's why I went that route. Special gear: you need the off-camera flash shoe to the master flash, and then one cord to each flash from the Quantum. They make short ones and I'm using two of those. The multiple flash setup also works really nicely for pond swoops where you want another flash further downrange toward your target. One 550 is right off the plane in "ahem" near darkness. Two 550's are at 350th of a second in very dark conditions as well, with the second 550 about 20 feet in front of me doing the wireless thing.
  25. Dude, nobody uses a spoon since the wonderful innovation of delicious smokable crack. Mmmmmm. Crrrack.
