1. No, I understood... it was loaded. And I answered No. Didn't have to be psychic to see that one coming. My suggestion was a new type of union. One for homosexual couples. So you would have one for gays, and one for straights. I think the couple is different, the lifstyle is different, the ceremony should be too. Furthermore, it would be a milestone in the history of Gay rights! On gays? Somewhat, that's why I invited you to PMs. In terms of this particular topic however, my beleifs are simple: -That a marriage is between a man and a woman. -That a man and a man cannot join into the same institution. -That a woman and a woman cannot enter into the same institution BUT, -Because they should have every same right, homosexual couples should have a cermony of their own to take their relationships to the next level too. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
2. Only if you take away the political/tax benefits of being single too. Now, which ones would you be refering to? 'cause people are born single. I present that they obtain certain benefits when the get married... and that that shouldn't be. What would you take away from the singles? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
3. What she said. Actually, please give yourself a 'personal moment' before manifesting... close your eyes, take a deep breath... you'll know if you're not all there. Pilots aren't supposed to fly after having given blood. It's not recomended that one "operate heavy machinery"... It's different for everyone. Some people can't even walk straight (suckers!) I've never really experience any ill effects from giving blood and I would likely be jumping the same day. But not before giving myself a 'personal moment' My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
4. Untrue. I love what is happening in the US. Land of the Free, well only if you comply with the religious beliefs of its leader. Hey Justin! What's up? Bush didn't create the wedding ceremony... it's a little older than he is. The marriage began as a religious ceremony... and it was indeed created as a union between man and woman. Bush is standing fast to this. I for one, would push for separation of church and state. Take away the pollitical 'benefits' of being married in the first place. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
5. I think we'd see a more original name than that but If you must be sarcastic about it, I'll stick with a civil answer: Acceptable? Yes. (Technically, it would be 'created' by the homosexual comunity and 'recognized' by the states.) Yes. Because your "marriage2" would by definition be a gay marriage. A same sex partnership. Listen. A gay couple is not the same as a straight couple. Nobody can flame me for that statement. It is 100% true. Should they be entitle to the same benefits? Well, I've already said that there shouldn't be any special benefits for married couples but so long as there are, YES! Homosexuality has been becoming more and more acceptable over the years. Would anyone argue that fact? So even if it were 100% acceptable to all today, it still wouldn't mean it's the same as heterosexality. Mine was only a suggestion as I beleive a marriage is a union between man and woman. That it began as a religious ceremony, and was all but f*cked up completely when politics became involved in the slightest. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
6. Well not that simply... but in a sense, yes. Let's play it like a word-game. Try and follow my train of thought objectively. Some say: "Marriage is a union between a MAN and a WOMAN" Others argue this as if it's arguable. I say: If gays are presently fighting for the right to be married, then "Marriage is a union between a MAN and a WOMAN" presently holds true as a statement. Gays are fighting to change that statement... not disprove it. And therein lies the problem... You cannot change the definition of the word. Not whilst there are people who are already married under certain impressions. Think of all the people who are married now. Allowing gays to wed changes the meaning of the union they are in. It alters the nature 'institution' they think they are a part of. I would present that the number one motive that gays have to fight for this right is that married couples receive certain benefits that they don't. Well, we are giving more and more of the same benefits to 'common law' couples and 'same sex partner' that meet the requirements needed to be cosidered such (Here in Canada, it means you've resided together for 3 years or more, or one year if you have a child) so that's a start. (BTW, I think it's stupid that married couples get certain benefits that single people don't anyway) Another reason gays wan't to be wed, is simply because they want to show their love just like everyone else does. I say equality for all! But that doesn't mean the same for all. So why not just create your own union? Why not just make up your own ceremony? Continue to fight for the benefits.. you'll eventually get them... and you won't piss off the "old fashioned". Can't get into my club? Start your own! There won't be any animosity between us. Some have looked down at me for saying this... but are gays not different from straights? Narci, we can PM if you're at all interested. I'm not at all interested in posting my personal thoughts on homosexuality for all to see... They are too easily misconstrued. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
7. Insightful. Though I agree with you 100% that your nations leader is an imbecile, I do support the stance he is taking on this issue. Hey, if gays want to be together that's cool. If they want the same rights as other married couples... perhaps they should invent their own 'coupling ceremony' for 'union of two people'... then lobby the hell out of the country to obtain those rights. Call it something else thought because 'wedding' and 'marriage' are already taken by the straights. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
8. Bwahaahaaaa, (still laughing at it).
9. I remember going to see Batman on opening day. Comic-book fanatics slept in line for tickets... I show up that morning and still got in (suckers!) Peeps were clappin' and who-hooin' every 10 minutes... they actually stopped the film mid-way through, and had a staff memeber walk down front and centre to say everyone had to shut up or they wouldn't start 'er back up again. Kinda annoying... but I didn't mind the hootin' and hollerin' so much. I went to see it with a bunch of people. We had fun. I knew I'd see the film again. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
10. Oh! Thanks for untangling the logic of the Argument from Bigamy. I completely understand the premises and conclusions now. How could I have missed these thoughtful and intelligent connections? Leave it to the gay guy to get pissed at a statement like that. Hehe. I'm chiming in to say that I have nothing against homosexuality. But I do get real hot under the collar with anyone that tells me I do because I'm against homosexual marriage. Two different things. Bigamy? Now that's a third. And I don't see how it applies to "Should homosexuals be allowed to wed?" My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
11. And that IMHO, is the way it should be! You convince me of why I should elect you... Your opponents will do the same. You tell me why I shouldn't vote for the other guy... the other guy will tell me why I shouldn't vote for you. The last time I checked, candidates are pretty apt at telling you why you shouldn't vote for "the other guy" And they shouldn't either! I don't have access to a television time slot to tell the American people why I think they should vote for so and so... why should someone else have the right to back the candidate of their choice just because they do have that access? The second you say "independent third party", I say: "voters just like the rest of us." (well, the rest of you ). The second you say "special interest groups" I say "Special education?" lol Then I say "If you're so interested in one particular party, then join their campaing!" I don't think anyone would prevent you from making public, your unbiased research of all parties running for example. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
12. Is it really a bad thing, that efforts are being made to keep election campaigns on a more level playing field? ex: In a perfect world, would a party in an election not win because of how much more money they had then the others? Is it so bad that private companies can't jump into the mud-slinging? ex: Shouldn't the informed voter know that the person he/she is voting for is (all of a sudden ) about gun-control without having to hear it from the NRA's 'commercial'? If you ask me, there is nothing wrong with what is being done here. I'm not all that into politics so someone please enlighten me if I'm wrong but If I'm reading things correctly: This is an effort to stop unlimited donations to political parties and to keep private companies from adding their two cents into the election process. What's better for chosing your leader then focussing solely on what the running parties have to say... and trying your darndest to keep one from burying the others strickly because he/she has SO much more money? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
13. I know it's wrong... I know it is! but My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
14. Thanks Nick! Much obliged. I tell you... it's gonna take a long time for this one to get old for me. (I'm entertained by little things yes) My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
15. What the hell? From the second page you posted Andy. How is it possible that they are selling the PC105 for $999.95.... but also selling the PC105 with all those accessories for $899.95 ? Think it's a mistake? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

So early, he could have landed in the city (was the insinuation) I laughed my A$$ off, btw, when I watched it. lol "What the f*ck is he doing!" Oh it hurts! You can see cameraman grabing at the back of his rig... was he/she trying to keep him in? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
21. Oh that's priceless! I love the "Not going anywhere... " one. Last night on the news, they were showing some footage of his hole in the ground. The place was a bit littered with garbage... a handful of Mars Bar rappers were right next to the bed. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
22. This post made me laugh. I imagine the returning shot would be much less harmfull then a bullet.... fire a buck-shot out of that shotgun though, and I'm running for the hills! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
23. Whoa kiss passes! (I've never done one) I'll let you know when I'm in FL next. I'll be going on a Carribbean cruise with some family in April. It leaves from Fort Lauderdale.. I was thinking of going out there early (or staying later) and making my way to the tunnel in Orlando. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
24. I saw that on TV! It was the guys first truck and he -for whatever reason- decided to stick it up in the tree in his backyard. I saw it on "You gotta see this"... the clip ended with he and his wife climbing up and sitting in the cab to watch the stars. The 'bed' of the pickup is just that now... a bed! With a cover over it and everything! (I was like "Watching the stars? Yeah right!") My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
25. What a beautiful ogre!!! I found this shot in the mugshots some time back Dove. When you provided me with some advice (do you remember? A thread I started that went south real fast?) lol. Smart woman... smart and pretty
