Good morning Michele. It certainly does clear up your position, thanks

A mere 2 and a half years in the Canadian reserves. But you know what? I didn't have to do any of that to understand that when you get activation orders, you go. I said soldiers have no say when they get activation orders and you said soldiers have every right to question an order if it is illegal. I said activation orders are not illegal. I understand, and I'm sorry for having my fun with you but we are dancing around some words here. People are asking "why invade Iraq"... I present that no soldier is more privy to the answer. And that those that say they know why, say so from their own speculation. All of the offence you are taking does not apply. The war in Iraq is not "Illegal", if you are told to shoot somebody, it is not "illegal" and you will shoot. And if you are telling me that no American Soldier has ever received activation orders without knowing the grand scheme of things then I will call bullshit time and time again. It is not laughable at all. You say we fight because we are told to. That is to simplistic of an answer! Soldiers are not robots that just follow orders. I am not calling you a robot but please don't pretend like the Army is some democracy... I know it ain't. If you don't agree with the orders you receive, you will carry them out regardless or you will be court marshaled. (disclaimer: unless that order was illegal) My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Hey man, lighten up will ya? Michelle, Excellent post! Very insightfull. I wondered while reading however, the question was why attack America? If I may ask a little more of you: Now I understand that in OBL' eyes, the U.S. plays a big role in bringing all these scandalous Jews from around the world right into the middle of his fundamentalist culture. I understand that their presence is a major problem for him. But fail to understand where he ultimately choses to Attack the U.S. over Isreal because of the size/power of and the willingness to use their army? You say "Isreal has nukes and will probably use them." and you say "Isreals motto is 'shoot first ask later'"... but the states have nukes and have used them. And if anyone fits the shoot first motto, it's them I'm afraid. I mean, Isreal is a big dog... but America? Why they're the biggest dog in the yard. Aren't there any more reasons perhaps? Is this where the 'fuckwad' part comes into play? Where we hear about how it is the goal to destroy our way of life entirely and that's why he chose NYC? Or are there other reasons why America is a target? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Yadda yadda yadda. You'll note I have not called you or any other soldier stupid... Thank you for noting it. Now let's move on. You'll note that the activation orders are not "against the law" hehe, what law? You get activation orders, you go. That's it! Are you going to try and tell me that you can question that? That's a load of crap. If you're going to tell me that all soldiers that receive activation orders know exactly what they'll be up to the very next day, then I call bullshit there too. You may speculate at home. You may forsee it... and that may make you clever. But you have no say in it so don't pretend you do. When you are sent to fight, you don't know the "why" outside your of own speculation and you are privy to no more of the "why" then I am sitting on my lazyboy watching the news. It's laughable that you argue about this... as if it matters. Again, I present, you fight because you are told to. You cannot question it. And if you think you know the "why", well good for you but you'd be the exception, not the rule... and it still wouldn't matter. Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I hope that's a promise Well that's a perfect way to state your "Last say." No, wait. THAT's the best way for you to state your "Last Say." With the sincerity required to say it doesn't matter if it's right or wrong... merely that you beleive you have the right, and if it's wrong, so be it. You sound like your commander and chief himself with his talks of "Axis of evil"... it makes me laugh and puke at the same time. P.S. You know damn-well you understood what Faber meant... But I like the way you handled him. I think you should be able to jerk around anyone you see fit... and however you see fit... because you fought, and did it with the best of intent. That was my "last say." Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Who is an "innocent person" in the eyes of their enemy? Working at the f*cking Pentagon to boot! You act as though they nailed the salvation army... and not the US Army. Listen, I'm not actively engaged in a war agaisnt the states. If I was however, beleive me, the Pentagon would be a millitary target and those people who work there, I would not consider "innocent". This is cold but it is true. Of all the lives lost that day, those in the Pentagon were the least-trajic. What Faber is saying is that if someone declares war on a country, it is less trajic that they destroy millitary targets instead of civillians. Do you not agree? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

You're right. We all know the real reason. It's because they're all crazy! lol To whomever posted, angry about people saying he didn't know why he was fighting: Wether or not you know why your fighting is irrelevant... you fight because you got papers telling you to. But consider this: There are a number of American soldiers who get activation orders without knowing where they're being shipped off to or whom they will be comfronting when they get there... basically, as a soldier, it does not matter if you know the WHY. While "there", you saw a lot of things and you say "That's why! Don't tell me I don't know why!" My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Ex-Arms Hunter Kay Says No WMD Stockpiles in Iraq

And what would you say of the Canadians who feel they have nothing to fear? Are we Naive or Foolish? The question is not should you be worried, but why should you be worried. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -

It would be a terrific find for the local police and a very good moment in the life of those abused children. However, I'm assuming the local police had a warrant for the drug raid in the first place? I assume that because you said "probable cause." Aye, there's the rub. Because let's say that while in the process of obtaining that warrant, the FBI decides to go in... No warrant, they just kick in the door, shoot the owner down and rescue the children. Is what they did right? It's wonderful that they rescued the children but that's not the question. Is what they did right? A few more questions (I'm hoping you're standing firm to your original comparison here... and thusly seeing mine) If the FBI had of waited until the local police had a warrant (for drugs), would they have been able to nail him for the abused children? If the FBI had captured the home-owner instead of shooting him down, would he stand trial and be punished for abusing the children?. What is the difference if we go in with or without a warrant? ... of course, we don't have to worry about our perp walking... he's dead. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -

I agree wholeheartedly Kel, 'cept I can't bring myself to beleive the "I didn't know..." possibility. Damn straight he knew. Total crap, if he did it to make a point... well, it's a damn good point! A valid point! A point that should be heard, not ignored. Schools these days, what are they thinking??!? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

No no, I DO agree with you... I'm just saying the kid must have known the award was for Blacks (That in itself is total BS and can fill several threads in itself but..). I'm SURE the kid knew it was for blacks and that this was either: a)to make a point ala "Not all Africans are black" or b)to make a joke ala "Nominate this skinny white boy for the 'best Black Studen' Award" In neither of these cases should he have been suspended. I DO agree with you. I'm just saying the kid is now playing naive. "African American" means "Black" in the U.S. However, now that "Black" is an acceptable term for 'em... we should start calling Blacks Blacks again. Not all Africans are black. That's not the "In the end".... In the end, our great grandchildren read about the man who bombed and invaded a country with what he called solid evidence that WMD were there... only to be proven a liar... with no repercussions I might add. Bluff? What bluff? Saddam said he had weapons at one point. Sure, that was a bluff. But remember he eventually admitted that it was such... he complied with resolutions allowing people to search... and find nothing. So America Scorches the place and looks again and what do they find? The world's most renowned terrorist... is much closer to home. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -
None of your comments are racist. I agree one hundred percent. Though I truly beleive the kid is bullshitting when he says "I'm as African as...." As if he didn't know the "African American" meant "Black" in this case. He prolly thought he'd get a bunch o' laughs out of it... and he should have! The whole thing is a joke. I agree, let's see a school present a "Best Caucasian Student Award" and watch the pitchfork/torch mobs start gathering. F*ck it, burn the school down. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

OMG, that sucks so much ass, I can't even say. My heart goes out to that poor girl. The poor girl?!?!? She's having the time of her life! It's the poor guy that feels trapped! hehe, actually, after a month and a half, he's acutally quite happy with the thought. They're going to wed and I don't think she'll hear about this until some anniversary when it's laughable. personally, I think even if he IS gonna marry her, he should tell her that was not his intent. Edited to add: It's a lovely ring though BTW, I'm sure she'll love it -

From that article: While Colombia has become notorious for supplying cocaine to the U.S., Canada is in danger of developing a reputation of being cast as the primary source of high-grade marijuana, Collins added "Is in danger of developing" ? We already DO have a nice rep. BCs pot is world-renound. They are the second largest exporter of the stuff. Ontario becoming the number one source? How nice, how proud I am.... [tear]

My suspicion is that they made the reversal less public so that they could nail a few grow ops that decided to get a little sloppy when it was decriminalised. Well they did... But were running out of time. The thing, it was to be Jean Chretiens legacy to legalise Marijuiana and as his term came near it's end, he pushed real hard for it. Even though no other new laws were passed on the subject. In fact, When it was decided that there could be certain fines for having too much (over 15 grams) or for smoking in certain public places, he had said something to the effect of "Well then I'll be walking down the street with my fine in one hand, and a joint in the other." I assume he knew it would be quickly be reversed but at least by giving the population a true taste of the decriminalisation, he would be assured that the whole thing wouldn't just be 'dropped' once he was out of office.
