Good story Takes balls to admit this! I know these things happen.. Durring my QL2 (Canadian boot camp), the very first time we went to the range to fire our newly-aquired C7s (Canadian M16! -We got cool scopes instead of the handle on top), We are in prone, Warrant Major is barking out fire orders and in between each of them, this damn bug keeps tickling my cheek. Finally, I go to brush it off with my hand and I touch not a bug but the barrel of the Private next to me... BOOM! the bullet left a scrape along the back of my helmet. I got thrown off the range for standing up and kicking him in the face . We made up after that though. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

This is the type of guy Darwin was always talking about... Had he died, it would have been called "Natural Selection" LOL! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I say tie them to a stake in the ground in the middle of a large arena. Allow the stadium to fill with volunteers (Victims and families included), each of with is given an Rifle (Victims and families get a live rounds and real nice scopes and are placed randomly throughout the stadium, others get blanks and the Front rows get bibi/dart guns) Then, over the load-speaker, seat numbers are called one by one or in small goups... When your number is called, you stand, take aim, and fire! The punishment should fit the crime and these guys should spend a little time knowing they may be shot soon. The blanks going off will scare the shit out of them so that when one member of a victims family lands a shot nice and true, the guys don't die with clean shorts! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Warning: "too much info" ahead. I like to jump 'commando' under my jumpsuit sometimes... Though I never experience an "airgasme" there have been a couple of times in a sit where the flapping of my jumpsuit mad me say: "Ooooh, that's nice... Oh, Ah.. Yeah, you have to think about all the first jumpers and the friends/family who know nothing about the sport but come to watch the first juper make their first jump. What impression do they get when they people toting beer bottles around? A dropzone I visited here in Ontario has a bar and allows spectators/jumpers (not jumping today) to drink before the beerlight comes on but only from time to time and only in the bar or 'patio'. I think it all depends on how well you can separate the drinking from the sport image-wise... I don't think tere are too many jumpers out there that want to break the no DrinkandJump rule. Yes it is!! Drivng a car is not a basic civil right. And it is not guaranteed by a government. Thus, it does not fit into 2nd description of a privilege. [Analogy] You come to my house and I ask you to take off your shoes upon entering... you tell me: "but my shoes aren't dirty!" And I retort: "I don't CARE! Take your shoes off before walking on my $70/yrd RUG!" [/Analogy] Is this 'treating you like a child'? The roads are given to the people by the government. The government does so at the cost of taxes and that they are used safely and responsibly. Simple rules are put into place because people are different... "Don't drink while driving"... "But I'm not drunk"... "I don't care! Don't drink BOOZE before driving on my roads!"... "Those guys are the kustopo!" Act like a child, you get treated like one... PUT YOUR HELMET ON! It doesn't matter how far you're going! A fatal crash can take as little as 0.3 seconds!!!!! divide the time it takes to go "a block down the road" into 0.3 second intervals and give it a good thought... Please. Nick Don't mean to be harsh, just think that risk (of all types) should be minimized by whatever means possible. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

OMG! I'm so sorry to hear this. I can't immagine the pain and confusion (due to being so young) this must have caused you. My only hope is that the DRUNK that did it has it within him/her to think about his/her actions and their results over.... and over and over again! If you drink, Don't drive!
